Do not recommended staying at this glorified motel

The view

Everything! Felt like a glorified motel at over $700 a night. We were in town for destination wedding and looking forward to getaway at this upscale, adults only hotel. After our stay it is clear this hotel is 3 star at most. It was overpriced, room not laid out well (stayed in Corner King Studio), smallest bathroom ever (husband and I couldn’t even fit in bathroom together at same time) especially compared to room size. Glass shower partition not properly attached to tub so water went everywhere with every shower. Overall poor amenities for “5 star” resort - no bar, no restaurant, no room service, no lobby area. TV connection didn’t work because of WiFi connection at hotel. Both times I used bathroom by front check in area there was no toilet paper and bathroom wasn’t clean. And the worst was listening to a barking dog in another guest’s room for over 2 hours early Sunday am. Hotel manager notified and aware of noise but she didn’t take action to quiet the dog (hotel claims to have explicit rule that dogs can’t be left in room without owner and this dog was left alone for over 2 hrs in early am) . I would not return to Aqua even if room was free. It was not a pleasant stay or 5 star hotel experience.

Smells like dogs, but cute exterior

I like the amenities like the hot tub and sofa beds outside as well as the picnic basket breakfast. The complimentary glass of wine was also really nice!

I understand it's a dog friendly hotel but I personally don't have any pets and there was a particular smell all throughout the hotel including a really bad smell in the igloo due to the carpeting everywhere.

We had a good time besides the weather the pictures online where deceiving

I love the vibe. The staff was very nice.

What I didn’t like about it is that there was a big flood outside. The shower on how room was leaking and there was a puddle every time on the floor. And you could tell there was a lot of water damage in our hotel room in the bathroom and in other spots of the room.

Perfect, relaxing, get-away from the city!

The property was beautifully situated right by the beach and very close to the wineries. Each detail was carefully thought-of and offers a very relaxing vibe. The rooms were immaculate! They also offered us complimentary rose and half an hour late check-out. The staff are all wonderful and always checked-in if we needed anything. I can’t wait to go back!

Nothing, everything was perfect but maybe a bar/restaurant that’s open late would be a nice addition.

The location on the lake is fantastic, the jacuzzi is a really big plus.

For the price you pay it’s annoying that they charge extra on amenities such as Sauna, paddle boards.

Relaxing weekend getaway

Relaxing and beautiful hotel, plenty of areas to lounge and beach access. Loved that they offered activities such as bike riding, kayaking, massages etc. Rooms were spacious and clean. Nice breakfast basket in the morning.

Great choice if you’re looking for an updated retro motel.

The facilities. How clean the room was. the warm greeting and friendly and attentive service of the hotel staff. and OMG, the breakfast baskets, what a great idea. I would avoid some of the more savory bagels like everything and garlic, tho.

The under insulated walls, I could hear my neighbors conversations and the big beautiful beds resulted in hearing all the “action” of our neighbors which would occur at all hours of the night and morning. good for them but I don’t need to hear it. Also, the limited use of some of the hotel amenities like the sauna room, I can understand making reservations for its use but to charge seemed a bit excessive.

Perfect location, but noisy and expensive.

The location is excellent. the hotel, a bit outdated construction, is very well maintain and refurb. lots of very nice details. the view is amazing. Very quiet location. The breakfast basket is a very good idea!

The room is very nice but so badly isolated : if, like us, you have some noisy, impolite neighbor, it’s a nightmare. I also find the night very expensive for what the hotel is. You pay for the location and the design. But it’s too much, really.

Overall a quiet relaxing few days, but way overpriced with a cheap motel atmosphere.

Location, scenery, staff was nice.

the room was beautiful. The staff was incredibly attentive, friendly, and hard-working. The location is so lovely and the grounds are well kept and thoughtfully designed. We both just loved being there....a true gem.

very beautiful and intimate being on the rooftop suite. spectacular water views and service was amazing with breakfast being delivered outside the front door. Jessica the front end manager was very friendly and very accommodating. thank you

Don’t take the risk of fleas

It was a nice getaway!

The breakfast was delivered promptly at 9:00 am in a darling basket! It was a nice start to the day with a pastry, 2 bagels, juice and coffee. We rode the complimentary bikes all around which was a nice way to see the area.

The walls are a bit thin so we heard our neighbor’s every move at 1:00 am

Really enjoyed our getaway! Cute and quiet, very relaxing. great aesthetic and design. Sauna was great. Room service could have been a little better, but we loved the picnic breakfast in the morning.

The location is brilliant. The seating outdoors...so comfortable. The staff were awesome.

The room needs an upgrade for the $ we paid. And there was a constant buzzing in the night - probably the air conditioner. Wish they had real milk available for coffee in the am.

Very relaxing peaceful get away.

There could have been different fruit than apples Not enough butter for bagels. No pastry in second breakfast. Liked the bagels Liked the wifi - had to work on laptop

Umbrellas in the beach pretty but not conducive to blocking sun well enough Lost a charger that was plugged into wall And do not understand why it was not found and returned to me. Price of rims could be lower
