Balmoral motel 5 star

Location was great had big river along the back also foodland market across the street and liquor store,the rooms are big siz great move around we had double bed and pullout couch the down is just 5 minutes walk with lot stores to view and restaurants near by also the staff was fantastic to deal with the Johnathan into was amazing host I would recommend anyone want to come this way to this motel ...

The bakery was awful the breakfast was horrible I suggest no eating there the bacon fake and we both got very sick from that bacon...

Small town, brilliant service

Amazing service. Jon is the epitome of customer service. He called us in advance to confirm our arrival. Unfortunately, when we arrived our room was not made. Jon couldn't be more apologetic about it and gave us a huge discount (room and dinner). He didn't have to do it. I have seen worse in luxury chains and they never cared. Jon has his customer's comfort as first priority. The cleaning service was called and the room was ready in under an hour. We enjoyed dinner at the onsite restaurant (Whats for Dinner). The motel room had massive windows offering panoramic sunrise views which we loved. There were other nice touches like tea/coffee available 24 hrs. A telephone to reach staff if you didn't have a cell phone (or no signal). Overall a fantastic experience.

found a couple earwig in the room and staff wasn’t so welcoming of our dog. The rest was fine.

I love how clean and convenient it is. Don't ever get rid of the tubs. Baths are the best!

I just got coffee, but I loved that it was good, and available to guests without having to ask, with cream and take-out cups. Very convenient!

It's a very personal thing, but I hate LED lights. I would love it if motels would use incandescents. It makes a room much more cosy and welcoming.

We stayed two nights and all the did for cleaning was empty one of the two waste baskets. They was coffee and yea in lobby area but on one type of tea and no water.

Well located in Tatamagouche.

The location was easy walking distance to the town. Nice view of the water from the unit. They provided real milk and cream in the communal coffee station.

The listing in booking.com, where I made my reservation and read the reviews, specifically mentioned a continental breakfast. When we arrived at the motel we were told that the motel had changed ownership a few months ago and the breakfast had been stopped. This should have been corrected in the motel listing.

It was a wonderful space for our group to get together and enjoy biking the trail. There was access to the trail right at the motel. The rooms are basic but comfortable and the staff is wonderful.

The coffeeshop menu was great. Diisappointed that they were not open for early breakfast. (Maybe there is more business opportunity in the late evening than early morning.) We had breakfast at The Subway, not our favourite. The bed was super comfortable. It was quiet - wonder what it is like during busy season. I am acoffee addict so loved that coffee was freely available. I usually find hotel.motel air uncomfortable to breathe but did not have a problem - maybe the heat pump made a difference

A nice place to stay for the night. Staff was lovely

Free breakfast was advertised on bookings.com but when we arrived it was posted that free breakfast only runs till the 15th and we stayed on the 23rd.

Staff very nice and helpful.

Breakfasts were good but would have liked a bit more variety. Same thing six days in a row for example. I realize limited staff makes that difficult. It didn't help that we were there during Fiona and had no power for several days. Pierre did a great job keeping things going as best he could.

Great place to stay and sleep.

The price was great, the bed was comfortable, the property was quiet, and the after-hours service was excellent!

The bathroom was a little tired with tiles that were a bit loose, but otherwise excellent.

Good Motel

Excellent for budget oriented people. Very clean and friendly, helpful stuff. Excellent location, close to stores and restaurants, ample parking space, beautiful view in front of your window, just grass, trees, water and sky with occasional visitors (deers) grazing in the short distance.

I booked this room and was not told there was no electricity. There was a hurricane prior to my booking but no one even mentioned the fact there was no electricity. When I went to cancel was told I couldn't. I paid $136 for nothing. And Booked another room not far from Balmoral with a heated pool free breakfast hot water and tv for less than 136. Very pleased. Owner of Balmoral should have mentioned the fact there was no electricity when I booked. I wasted 136.00.

It was such a pleasure visiting the Balmoral Motel in Tatamagouche, NS. The staff were warm and welcoming, the accommodations exceeded our expectations, and Pierre and the team were ready to answer any questions, and assist with any concerns we had. Definitely will return when we visit NS again!!
