We have a beautiful Cape Cod style cabin on Lake Hartwell, approx 40 min from Clemson, SC, and 45 min from Helen and the North Ga mountains. The cabin sits on a very large lot and is in a cove with only a few homes. Freedom Lake Cabin is clad in cedar and wood, inside and out and has a spacious open floor plan. The den has an open vaulted ceiling with a flat rock hearth and wood stove providing rustic lodge-like ambiance in a relaxed and comfortable setting. It is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing vacation with family or friends. Wooden decks wrap around most of the home, providing beautiful views of the lake and the surrounding forest. There is also a screened in section of the back deck with a table and chairs for outdoor dining. The huge front porch has rocking chairs and a porch swing and is the perfect spot to relax and read a good book or just enjoy the atmosphere. The den area upstairs has YouTubeTV live streaming on our Roku stick. A dining area sits adjacent to the den and overlooks the lake. We also have WiFi Internet. The home has a full kitchen upstairs complete with a JennAir range top for cooking, an electric oven, dishwasher, microwave and coffee maker. The home also has a second kitchen in the basement with a range top and a second full size fridge in the garage. The master bedroom upstairs has a king-sized bed and is furnished with several antique pieces from the Southeastern US. The master bathroom, just off the master bedroom, is newly renovated and has a shower/tub combo. The 2nd bedroom upstairs is also furnished with several antiques from the area, including an authentic iron bed. The home has a fully finished basement. The wood-clad den area in the basement has a TV and a karaoke machine with hundreds of songs available. The home’s 3rd bedroom is in the basement. It has a queen sized-bed as well as a smaller twin bed. Just off this bedroom is another full bathroom with a combo shower/tub. Outside of the home, there is a BBQ grill. The property sits on Lake Hartwell, in a quiet cove. The oversized boat dock has a covered storage area for a boat as well as a sundeck perfect for sunbathing. Kids (and some adults) seem to love to jump off the sundeck into the lake. Note there is a set of steps that lead down to the lake. It's not recommended for those with physical limitations.
