We were in town for a wedding with all of our adult children. The property was lovely and had everything we needed. The covered outdoor patio was such a fun gathering place. We were able to walk to and from the wedding venue on Main St and enjoy the beautiful view of Mt. Shasta. The only thing that would have made our stay better would have been a queen bed in each bedroom instead of two queen beds in the upstairs bedroom. We hope to stay again someday.

Great vacation rental in McCloud. We travel to McCloud annually and have stayed at many homes in this delightful little town and this house has it all. The owner thought of everything and the house is very comfortable, has space for watching TV, relaxing, cooking, playing games, etc. The backyard has space for enjoying an outdoor meal and is well secured for a pet. We have already booked our visit for 2024.

We got the front door of the house stuck and the neighbor had to come to open the back door. An unpleasant surprise was that two of the bathrooms were dirty, really gross. Under the sink there was a dead mouse in a trap, another unpleasant detail. The bathroom downstairs that 3 people shared, have an open bathtub with a manual shower and nowhere to hold on, all the time the bathroom soaked because it also has no shower curtain. The good things, the house is spacious and well equipped, perfect for a group of 10 people

We were pleasantly surprised at how nice this house was, (since you never really know from the photos online.) It was over 100 degrees everyday, but the downstairs stayed cool with everything closed up. It was perfect for the six of us, and the kids enjoyed the park nearby. We’ll done John!

We enjoyed the MCcloud house. It was perfect for a family. The house was very clean and had a cabin Atmosphere to it. Very quaint. The only problem was parking. We did park in the street but weren’t comfortable.
I would rent again if in the area.

Very Clean and Comfortable
The original McCloud hardwood floors were lovely. This property is walking distance to the old mercantile store, restaurants, and churches. Lovely home with friendly neighbor.

Very Spacious Home
Dinning Room Table was great we had family staying at the local RV park we and sat at the table and got to tell about our past years experiences. Loved the neighborhood park. Liked the fenced yard our dog could go out and play off leash. The alley in back was interesting lots of junk would not park back there.

Just for the heck of it family reunion
Absolutely fantastic. Our family LOVED spending time there. We had a wonderful family reunion dinner, kids playing all around. We had everything we needed. John was great to communicate with and very helpful. Thank you for a fantastic return home!

Comfortable home
The rental process and communication with the owner was very easy. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood in McCloud. We traveled all over during our stay (McCloud Falls, Burney Falls, hedge creek falls, lava bed national park, and sledding just out of town). The beds were comfortable and there was a ton of space to easily accommodate a larger family. The backyard is spacious and fenced in with a large covered area which was nice for our dogs when we did leave them behind. The only thing different from the listing is there was only internet apps on the tv (Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, and more) and not satellite/cable tv but that wasn’t a big deal for us. I would definitely stay again if I were to return to The area.

Fun family gathering in McCloud. Close to Hoo Hoo Park which we enjoyed evening games. Home supplied with everything one would need. We bbq’d our back which was perfect. Enjoyed this home!!! John was absolutely wonderful to deal with!!! Thank you John!!!

A very comfortable and well equipped cabin in a beautiful setting
Met our needs perfectly. Perfect for three couples or similar groupings. Was so nice to have three bedrooms each with their own bath. Plus room for extra kids/adults on fold-outs and futon. A very secure and dog friendly yard puts it over the top. We all loved it.
The owner has done a great job restoring this property, as well as decorating and equipping. The portable air conditioner for the upstairs bedroom is a wonderful touch even if we barely needed it this trip. We had everything we needed. Speaking of the owner... John is quick to respond and very accommodating. He made sure we had his mobile number in case we needed anything. While we never actually spoke, it was comforting to know he was available.
By the way, the previous occupants left large format, empty Crystal Geyser bottles in the recyclables - just as they should. The crazy part is that McCloud has some of the most delicious, purest icy cold drinking water on the planet right on tap. Crystal Geyser is bottled just a few miles away. So bring your water bottles and fill them up at the sink.

Great house!
Great house especially for large families or groups. Will sleep four adults and several children very privately and comfortably. All three bedrooms have there own bathroom. Everything has been recently updated but the old time feel still exists. Walking distance to the park and all the restaurants and businesses in McCloud. Highly recommend!

The McCloud Vacation Home exceeded our expectations. It was clean and comfortable. All of the upgrades were very well done. We were a party of 6 so having three bathrooms was terrific. The washer/dryer worked well and there was no shortage of hot water for showers or baths. The kitchen was great for cooking meals with all of the amenities stocked. We loved our stay at this house and would recommended it to anyone in need of a comfortable space for a large party!
John was extremely prompt in sending us information and answering questions. We enjoyed the nearby waterfalls. What a treat - we will be back!!

Beautiful house at convenient location
We really enjoyed our stay at John's place. This house is at amazing location.... with nature all around. We were a bit larger group but didn't feel that in this house. Everyone got their space in this well designed house. John arranged almost everything in this house you could need to make your vacation enjoyable. Kitchen is fully packed with whatever you would need to cook. For your BBQ fun, backside patio has grilling machine. Also there is a fully covered green area on backside of home where you can leave your kids with no worries.
Overall, our stay could not be better. We will book this property again when we get a chance

Clean, quiet, sleepy town
The place was clean and pretty nicely appointed - the beds were a little soft for my back. My kids loved the WiiU.
Space heaters provided most of the heat in the winter and it was cozy. John is very helpful and most amenities are provided. John, I would provide towel bars and robe hooks for bathrooms.

Super Family Rendezvous
We needed to escape the smoke in Ashland, Or and our whole gang was due in for the weekend. By Friday evening, everyone had assembled in our lovely house, inside and outside. Great for cooking together, adventuring together and just being a lucky family. Thanks, John Gibbs, for all your assistance and attention. McCloud has gone down in the annals of our family history.

Overall it was a good stay
Kitchen and all appliances was very good. But Wifi was keep disconnecting. Not having A/C is a big minus especially when you had temperature around 100. But over all it was a good stay.
