Prepare to be thoroughly spoiled at our ocean view condo at Colony Reef 2310! Between the breathtaking view of the ocean from our third-floor balcony and all the fun ways to relax at this condo community including an indoor heated pool and an outside Oceanside pool, and elevator access - you are about to have the best vacation of your life!
First, let's talk about the balcony because we predict that's where you'll be spending a lot of your time! It's nothing like that narrow strip of cement-and-rail you may be used to at hotels. This is a full outdoor room, with views in two directions and room for a table and chairs with space to spare. Look out over the magnificent ocean side swimming pool and beautifully landscaped grounds and you will see the fabulous wild dunes, a strip of pure white beach, and the sparkling Atlantic! You'll also smell that fresh sea breeze and hear the low murmur of the crashing waves. What a lovely way to wake up each morning . . . and go to sleep to each night.
From the balcony, you enter the living room of Colony Reef 2310, and here again, the first thing you may notice is the sheer space. This is a nice-sized room, with plenty of super-comfortable seating that turns into a queen sized sleeper, a large LCD TV with DVD player and VCR, and a ceiling fan.
Just beyond the living room is the kitchen, with a long low breakfast bar for informal dining and a convenient way to keep the cook involved in the conversation. You will love our kitchen. Space is economical, yet it has absolutely everything you could ask for, from all major and minor appliances to a full set of cookware, dishes, and utensils. There's even a little laundry room tucked back behind the kitchen, with a full washer and dryer at your disposal.
The dining area is fun and bright, with a beach-casual décor. Our glass-topped oval table is just the right size for playing board games, by the way -- and it's a good place to set up the laptop and use our free wireless Internet to update your status ("Saw dolphins in the surf this morning!"). In fact, the table usually becomes Command Central around here, so you might just have to eat out on the balcony. What a shame!

The primary bedroom contains a King-sized bed, with balcony access from the floor-to-ceiling sliding glass door, a TV, plenty of storage space, and an en-suite primary bathroom. It will become your haven of peace and slumber after all those busy days!
The second bedroom offers a queen bed with a twin and a TV, and the third is our Crow's Nest, with two stationary twin beds. The kids will love the idea of sleeping here!
All of the linens, pillows, and blankets are provided for these beds, as are the towel sets for our two full bathrooms. No making an emergency run to Wal-Mart to buy an extra pillow; you'll have everything you need right at Colony Reef 2310.
Our condo is located on the third floor of the building, which has elevator service. Colony Reef is a fun and vibrant condo complex with outdoor and heated indoor swimming pools, a fitness room, sauna, hot tub, kids' playground, and both racquetball and tennis courts. Located between Crescent and St. Augustine beaches, our strip of coastline is wonderfully uncrowded and just perfect for all activities, from sunbathing to surfing, castle-building to kite-flying.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful, clean and comfortable condo. The view was amazing. Watching the sunrise every morning was a great way to start the day. We will be back!

Nice comfortable furnishings with a large balcony and beautiful oceanview. The pool was newly reburbished and well maintained. One of the 3 bedrooms was quite small and really only suitable for kids. The kitchen sink and stove could use an upgrade. All in all it was a great place to stay in a good location.

This is one of the best properties we’ve rented. Very close to the beach and the pool is a wonderful option since there were news about a flesh-eating bacteria in the ocean (not necessarily in FL). My husband got paranoid after watching this in the news, so after being at the beach on our first day, we did it go again, so we stayed in the pool the rest of our vacation. It is family-oriented and it seems like everyone knows everyone. There are food trucks visiting the facilities too, they park next to the pool. We didn’t know until it’s our last day, I thought that was nice specially if you are lazy to drive. The only issue we had is getting through the gate, the code didn’t work so we had to call the number to be let in. Not a big deal, we just called throughout the duration of our stay. Overall, we had great experience and would highly recommend this place. We are already thinking of booking this property o. Our next visit to St. Augustine!

VERY happy with this condo!! The king size bed provided the softness we needed along with the foam firmness for our back support! We even took a pic of the mattress label to try and buy the same mattress for our own home! Kicking myself that we didn’t book additional nights! (Our fault there). If I had to find one negative thing about this condo would be the thinness of the windows allowed us to hear the next door neighbor’s convo on their balcony, BUT, they weren’t yelling, loud, or obnoxious either. Simply thin windows, not any fault of the property owner by any means!! We LOVED this place and will CERTAINLY book it again for our next St. Augustine trip!

Property was as advertised and very clean. Well stocked kitchen with cooking supplies. We ate out mostly. Lots of good restaurants nearby. Highly recommend Viola’s Italian restaurant for a great experience. We had heavy construction right above our unit( tearing up tile floors!) but since we had planned a day of shopping in the morning and beach in the afternoon it didn’t bother us too much. Only disappointment was the pool was not heated and too cold to get in. We enjoyed the Pickleball court and the practice in the racquetball court. Other guests were friendly and mostly quiet. This is close to St Augustine where we were able to take in some great sites and tours.
Recommend Harry’s and River & Fort for dinner.
Don’t miss the tour of the fort- be sure to talk to the guards for some interesting information.

One of our best VRBO bookings
Our family had such a wonderful spring break here! We stayed end of March for 6 nights and loved it so much we stayed an extra night. We loved the location, the gated community, the very short walk to the beach and the pool. Everything was as advertised but better! The beds were amazing, so comfy! Some of the reviews said they had trouble with getting the keys. We did not. It was easy to find the office and pick up the keys and enter the gates. The view from the balcony was fantastic. We even saw dolphins! It was a great family vacation we will remember forever.

Amazing Trip
Our trip was amazing at Saint Augustine Beach, only complaint was in the paperwork the beach access code was wrong and we were stuck on the other side of the gate for almost 20 minutes before someone come to let us back in. The condo the property and the location were excellent!

Easter Break in St. Augustine
Beautiful weather, great accommodations, and perfect location. We could not have asked for more on this totally hassle free family gathering of six.. Our apartment was spacious, clean and well furnished. The property in general is efficiently managed and very well organized. Management and staff clearly take pride in what they do and they do it extremely well. AAA rating from us. Thank you.

Enjoyed our stay
We enjoyed our stay at colony reef. However the kitchen was lacking in some essentials such as a cookie sheet and scissors. An updated coffee machine would also be nice. The dryer had some issues and was difficult to turn on at times. There were also tiny bugs all over the kitchen. The location was awesome and the amentities of the property was great.

Third year at condo
This was our third year at the condo and our fifth at Colony Reef. It is nice to come back to the same spot and feel familiar and comfortable. The condo meets all of our needs and when we have family visiting the space is perfect. Plus we love the area and the set up of Colony Reef. Can't beat walking down the board walk and out to the ocean for your morning walk. There are a few things that could be updated in the condo. After a while things get a bit worn and out of date. Each year we come we are anxious to see if there have been any changes or updates in the condo. I think our expectations are a bit high. This year there was a new rug under the table on the balcony. Last year some new comforters on the beds. Little things but it is nice to see a bit of change. One thing I must add the white bamboo chair with the orange cushion could easily be replaced. All set to come back next year and perhaps there will be a change or two.

Review
I already sent a review and have not heard back. Again, our unit was OK but we were disappointed in the overall cleanliness. Trash can was filthy, rugs and floors were dirty, water dispenser in fridg didn't work, second key didn't work, windows to porch were dirty. Then I couldn't believe we don't get our damage deposit back? Is that true? We left the unit in good repair, cleaned up all dishes, stripped beds, etc..would like a response to our comments. Lastly.a suggestion: Place all loose papers with information about area, etc in a binder with tabs...really sloppy to have just loose papers.

Property was as represented online.
We were unable to gain access to the unit upon arrival due a defective door lock. It took 2+ hours for a locksmith to arrive to replace the lock. The problem with the lock should have been detected in advance by the housekeeping staff. Also, we had to replace a pair of burnt out lightbulbs.
In all other respects, the unit and the complex were as represented online.

Escape from the north
Third year we have stayed at Colony Reef. First year in this condo. Accommodations were great. Everything was clean. Kitchen was supplied with all our necessary needs. The view was spectacular. Colony Reef is the perfect spot for us. Grounds are immaculate and the outdoor and indoor pools are maintained at the highest level. The ease to get to the beach is perfect. Our family loves it and can't wait to come back next year.

We had a wonderful stay at The Colony Reef. The condo was clean and in good condition. The kitchen was well stocked. The location of the condo is perfect, easy to downtown and shopping. Beautiful view from the balcony. Very family oriented.

Had a few problems this time. The pass to get thru the guard gate had the wrong date, the code to the unit did not work, took a while to get one that did, and the exit gate with out the guard would not let us out after dark, no supper that first night.

We stayed in Unit 234 in Building 300. Just some small maintenance issues. The refrigerator was warm on arrival, I called and reset the settings. It was cold the next morning. Was told this is typical due to the cleaning crew. Maybe just leave a noted on the fridge in the future, especially if you have meds that have to be refrigerated like we did. One hanging light over the breakfast bar had been broken and there was a bulb still in the socket. The grate over the shower in the master bath was missing the screws so it could be slid aside and leaving the drain pipe exposed and open. The carpet needs to be cleaned, especially in the hallway. Also, the small chair in the Master, the rear legs come off, the main hall sidebar table is very shaky as are the bedside tables in the queen bedroom.The location was fantastic, the beach was fantastic as well as the pools and the Pool Eatery which has great food and service. We are already planning our next vacation with you! Oh, one more thing, the covered balcony sure could use a ceiling fan!! Would make it much more pleasant!
