About this cottage rental
We invite you to relax and enjoy our beautiful, peaceful retreat nestled in five private acres on South Pender Island. The property is sunny and warm with ocean glimpses from the cottage, deck and bathtub. The open concept cottage includes a spacious full height sleeping loft, fully outfitted kitchen with granite counter tops, bathroom with walk-in shower, and outdoor bathtub. The eclectic furniture consists of an antique industrial table and stools, modern sofa and ottomans, and a comfortable queen bed. The cottage, completed in 2013, is close to hiking trails, beaches, Poet's Cove Resort and Port Browning Marina. We try to reduce our environmental footprint through the use of environmentally friendly cleaning and bath products. Please note that pets are not allowed on furniture or the bed. Also, please know that from March to November 2024, Canal Road, South Pender will be closed from 10 am until 2 pm, Monday to Saturday due to construction on the road.

We LOVED our stay at this Pender Island Cabin! Sandra and her family have done an amazing job. Communication was great - cabin was so clean and had everything you needed. The views were gorgeous, and the fire kept us cozy. We will be back! Thank you!

Couldn't have asked for a better place to spend a quiet long weekend away from the city and crowds. Thank you to Sandy for all the help with our booking and our stay. We are looking forward to our next (hopefully longer) stay at Foxglove.

Lovely relaxing stay. Place was clean. About a 10 min drive to the main grocery store. Wonderful that it was dog friendly! Bath was awesome. Host communication great. Would return!

We stayed here for 3 nights with our dog and had an amazing time! The cabin was modern and cozy with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. I especially loved the outdoor bathtub with views of the forest. We will definitely stay again next time we're on Pender!

Loved our stay at this beautifully designed cabin, perfect for the 2 of us, had everything we needed. Loved sitting out on the decks in the morning with our coffee or after a day of exploring the island. Lots of good tips from Sandy the owner about the Island. Love swimming at Magic Lake.

Perfectly tucked away in the trees with a glimpse of the ocean. It was peaceful and incredibly private. Also only a short drive to beautiful Gowlland point beach or to Mortimers spit. Loved everything about this little cabin getaway!

A stunning little cabin in the woods. It was incredibly clean and tidy and a lot of thoughtful touches throughout. Host was incredibly accommodating and made our stay pure perfection. Can’t wait to return.

Foxglove was wonderful! It was clean and had amenties such as bath salts etc. that were very much appreciated. Cooking was made very easy as there was everything that you needed to make a lovely meal. The bathtub was magical and the wood stove on a cool evening heated the whole place quickly. All n' all we couldn't have been happier with our stay:)

The place was perfect! Tranquil, private, great bird watching from the patio. Super thankful for the accommodating hosts and enjoyed our stay so much! Especially loved the tub and kitchen.
Cottage was very clean and well stocked with all kitchen and bathroom essentials. Clear communication and lots of Pender to do details in the welcome book.

The cabin was comfortable and met our needs well. The kitchen was well-equipped. Nice to cook on a gas stove and have a full-size fridge. The bed was comfortable. We had good communication with the hosts. A repair to a light switch was done within a day. Lots of hot water for the shower. Unfortunate that the weather was too cool to try the outside tub. Nice to be walking distance from a beach. We would definitely return here.

We stayed at this cabin for 5 nights and enjoyed it very much. Very quiet, very private, with a nice view of the forest and the water through the trees. We didn't realize there was no microwave but they have modern appliances good fridge and gas stove for cooking. The bed is a futon type material and was very hard, which we were unaccustomed to, we have a very soft bed at home, so keep that in mind if you prefer soft beds, but everything else was perfect, the owner checked in with us which was very nice!

Such a cute cabin! It was perfect for a friends weekend away. The outdoor bathtub was a highlight as was sitting outside on the deck at night looking at the stars and listening to the frogs!

During our stay the temperatures were hot but the fact that the property is surrounded by trees and the fact that there were many windows meant that we stayed cool and comfortable. The outdoor tub complete with hot water was a luxuriating feature. We had a lovely time.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin, Sandra was a great host, the surroundings were beautiful! The cabin itself offered all the modern conveniences and was comfortable, funky and fun. We enjoyed coffee and wine on the decks over looking the woods with a peek of the ocean! We would definitely stay again!

A Delightful Cabin in the Woods
My husband & I are in our mid 70’s. We travelled to Pender Island for a family wedding. Sandra’s cabin was located 3.4 km from the wedding venue at poet’s Cove. We loved being able to prepare some of our own meals & have a quiet spot to retreat to. The cabin was equipped with everything we needed. It was nice to be away from T.V. but great to have Wifi access for our devices. Yes, the outdoor tub experience was delightful!! Sandra was easy to communicate with & responded quickly to any communication I sent. We would stay there again & we recommend Foxglove to other travellers who don’t have any mobility issues.
