About this cabin rental
Privately set on a ridge with an unobstructed year round view of Center Hill Lake, 'Due West' is a custom three level cabin. This spacious cabin is a perfect getaway for several couples or multiple families. The main living area has wooden beams throughout with stunning lake views from all rooms.
'Due West', is located on Center Hill Lake, 72 miles from Nashville, Tennessee and 15 miles from shopping and numerous restaurants in near by Cookeville, Tennessee. The cabin is within minutes of Cookeville boat dock marina which offers overnight slip rentals by the day, boat rentals, and a wonderful restaurant well known for their delicious food and homemade pies.
This rustic cabin is wonderfully decorated, boasting numerous antiques and furnishings constructed out of reclaimed timber, some from the old Jim Beam distillery in nearby Kentucky. All bedrooms feature luxury linens including 300+ thread count sheets, down comforters and pillows. Comfortably from any one of the three decks you can sun, grill, dine, enjoy music, soak in the hot tub while watching the sunset and stargazing. The (provided) telescope will give you a guided tour of the universe. The main living room has a 55" LCD TV with satellite TV, DVD player and a cozy fireplace. In the bonus room we have an additional 40" flat panel TV with DVD, wet bar and wifi internet. Just outside the bonus room is a free standing hand chiseled stone fire pit with wooden benches.
The master bedroom has a wall of windows including a large picture window which looks out over the lake. Imagine waking up in the 'Big Boss Man' king-size bed hand-crafted from Cypress timber obtained from a 150 year old Mississippi barn. Then enjoying breakfast from your own private deck while soaking in the tranquility of the lake.
There are two bedrooms located on the third level, both having large picture windows overlooking the lake. (king bedroom and bunk bedroom) The third bedroom is located on the first level ( queen bedroom) adjacent to the bonus room, bar and bathroom.
Center Hill Lake offers excellent fishing, swimming, waterfalls, hiking, and water skiing. Bring hiking boots and enjoy dozens of trails and fun. We offer our guests free access to a three person kayak perfect for exploring the lake and fishing. A pair of bald eagles have nested directly across from the cabin on Davies Island. The eagles can regularly be seen catching fish and flying in the area. The nest is visible from the balcony off the master bedroom through the provided telescope.

It was perfect for our family trip. They thought of everything. It was clean and the deck with the swing and table and comfy chairs is where we spent all of our time while we were there! We had a great time and I would absouletly stay in this cabin again.

The large roomy cabin provides the best possible view of the lake with bunnies and ground hogs in the backyard. The children really enjoyed watching the wildlife and also the hot tub.

We loved our last stay 4 years ago so much that we decided to come back again this year. It was just as wonderful as we remembered it being! We especially enjoyed the back porch and fire pit. Our kids have requested that we make it an annual tradition so we will definitely be back!

The views from Due West were absolutely amazing! We got to see the Full Strawberry Moon/Summer Soltice Moon from this beautiful location! It was definitely a memorable trip! And the cabin had absolutely everything we need for the perfect trip!

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Due West. The property was exactly as described. The view from the decks was amazing. Due West was stocked with everything we needed during our stay. The Hot Tub was great to soak in after a day of Hiking. We plan to return to Due West for another stay.

We were looking for a place to unplug for the weekend and we found it. The rustic charm was very nice and we found everything as advertised. The view was absolutely outstanding with the fall colors surrounding the area and overlooking the lake, wow! It was very peaceful sitting on the deck enjoying the view. We also enjoyed the hot tub. This all made for a very relaxing weekend.

This was my 3rd time staying here. This place has a beautiful view. I love how spacious the place is. There were some minor housekeeping issues that i made the owners aware of and they were very receptive and seemed concerned about. Good quality place and i will be back again.

The cabin was wonderful. The atmosphere was peaceful and quiet. It was just what our family needed to reconnect and enjoy some time together. All basic needs and essentials were met and provided. May need to warn future visitors road to cabin is a little hairy at in places and more of a incline or decline depending on whether you are coming and going. By the end of the week we were pros at navigating and just going. Cookeville boat deck was awesome. Thank you for the recommendation. Our stay was great and will definitely rent again if we want to disappear in Tennessee again.

This place is filthy and furniture is over used, to anyone who decide to stay pls record everything with your camera ,owner needs money to replace old furniture.
