About this house rental
The owners of this one story craftsman-style house have extensively renovated it as if they were going to live in it themselves, and in so doing have made this house into a home. The exterior has been re-sided with cedar siding and painted trim in white and green. The front porch has two porch swings on either side, facing each other. Great for sitting and watching the world go by. On the inside the original wood floors are newly restored and each room is trimmed in varnished wood. Some furnishings are the owners' personal collection of antiques. It's the perfect place to get away from all the hustle and bustle and still have the comforts and conveniences of a clean, cozy home.
The location is walking distance to restaurants, a grocery store, laundry mat, and the post office. It's a short distance to Ten Mile Lake access and the county park where one can enjoy boating, fishing, and so much more. Ocean and dunes access is also near. It's the perfect location for those interested in exploring the southern Oregon Coast.
One bedroom has one king-size bed; the 2nd bedroom has two XL twin beds; there is a sofa bed in the living room that makes out into a queen size bed; and if needed we can provide a portable crib/playpen.
The kitchen comes equipped with dishes, pots and pans, utensils, some small appliances, electric stove and oven, and full size refrigerator. The eat-in kitchen has seating for 4 and a high chair if needed.
There is a smart TV and WIFI.
A washer and dryer is available in the utility room right off the kitchen.
There is a gas grill located on the back deck.
There is space in the back yard between a shed and fence for off street parking; accessible through the alley way.

The house was clean and cute and worked good for our needs to just have a place to sleep. A little on the smaller side and was hard to do laundry with some minor hiccups with the washer but all in all it was good.

Cozy and comfortable home centrally located to all Lakeside has to offer. Great place for a couple to come relax and enjoy the area. Lots of great fishing and boating nearby, as well as other activities. Kitchen had everything we needed for our stay, along with plenty of space for dining. Living area is comfortable, and the porch makes an excellent place to relax and enjoy the weather.

The house was very comfortable and clean. It met our needs perfectly. We didn't spend a whole lot of time there to take advantage of some of the amenities, but there were plenty there. Donna was very quick to respond to my questions. I would definitely stay there again.

Located in downtown, walking distance to everything.
Nice, comfy, furnished home with a great front porch. The owners were easy to access by phone for questions or when we locked ourselves out of house and forgot the code. We stayed for 18 days to visit family and enjoy the area. We will happily return.

Overall a positive stay. If we would have stayed in the middle of summer, I would not be able to provide positive feedback. No AC in June-August would not work for us. First day arrived to a very stuffy home. Luckily temps cooled to the 50s and open windows/fans made it comfortable. This is the only negative we had to share. Otherwise the place was perfect. Love the liquor store across the street. Thank you.

It was everything we needed for a 3 night visit. Comfortable beds, comfortable furniture, lovely bath towels! I travel a lot and have stayed at many rental homes……this home actually looked just like the pictures!

Property owner is awesome, communication was great, and I would stay there again. There’s some different people around the neighborhood, but they didn’t bother us. It was nice to be able to ride the side-by-side straight to the Sandune’s without having to take the trailer, great communication and a great price.

This was a great place for what we needed on this trip. It's perfect for a small group (4 people). It's decor is very nice and the communication with the owner was excellent. On the downside, It can be a little loud at times because of its location but overall we thought this was a much better choice over a hotel/motel.

My husband and I absolutely adored this little craftsman cottage! It is clean and decorated very sweetly with true antiques! Its location is located perfectly for walking to the local grocery market and restaurants and we walked our kayaks down to the Ten Mile Creek and paddled into the lake. We had a wonderful weekend! Thank you!

I would book this again. It was close to our event, very clean, cozy, and easy to find. I especially liked that fact i could park in the rear of the unit in a fenced area on pavers and exit straight out to an alleyway. Very safe and easy to unload the car.

We loved the comfort of this house and it’s close proximity to some beautiful places of this part of Oregon. As many prior renters have mentioned, it is very cozy and clean.

This was perfect for my teens and I to hangout and check out local areas. It was clean and offered everything we needed. The owners are very nice and have good communication. I would definitely book this spot again.

We had our boat deliverd to winchester bay and stayed 4 days getting it ready for fishing season. Everything in the house is supper clean and comfortable, its within walking distance from grocerys, resurants ect.

Stayed three nights as my partner had surgery at the hospital in Coos Bay. Needed a place that had a recliner and comforts of home. Very nice house. The neighborhood does not offer much as far as grocery stores or restaurants but since we were in Coos Bay everyday it wasn’t a factor.

The Homey House is a great opportunity to see the Oregon coast, a great bargain for the amenities that are available. Could use a larger trash container, because of the fresh seafoods, crab, clams, etc that are part of the coastal experience. I feel sad when we see the amount of vagrancy and just total homelessness that Oregon has allowed to grow into a problem that affects everyone’s experience while vacationing. Very saddened. But if I were returning I would definitely stay here again. Thanks

Rental process was simple and quick. Rates were great. House very welcoming. Lakeside is small, but has a couple of good places to drink/eat and a grocery store two blocks away.

Exploring Lakeside - great getaway!
If you want to drive your UTV to Spinreel and play in the sand, or down the street to the Lodge for dinner, this is the perfect place! It is on the Main Street which is a busy street, is located directly across the street from a liquor store, and walking distance to grocery store, and a few great local restaurants. House has all the basic necessities..I loved the shampoo/conditioner provided. Very cozy cute house! Love this little town!! The lake is beautiful!

Great location for the beaches, crabbing, fishing. Centrally located in between coos bay and Reedsport. Then there was the lake too, just 2 minutes away. We should have brought my boat.
