About this house rental

Wrightsville Beach at its BEST! Enjoy a wonderful view with beautiful sunsets from the large deck overlooking Banks Channel Sound. A large upper level porch faces East for viewing the sunrise over the ocean. Spacious family beach house, interior totally renovated in 2019, with three new up-dated bathrooms. Privately owned sound-side beach (50 foot shoreline) with a pier (2016), that includes gazebo, twenty foot floating dock/boat slip that can dock up to a 32 foot boat. The ocean beach is less then a three minute walk with easy public access. Large open living room, dining room, and kitchen with vaulted ceiling. All the modern amenities. Nice separation of bedrooms from living space. Upper level has master bedroom with private bath, queen bedroom, and twin bedroom. Lower level has a bedroom with 3 twin beds, and bedroom with 5 twin beds and TV. Private outside shower with hot water. Under house parking for six cars. Sound side beach and pier are ideal for children, boat access, fishing, kayaking, swimming, and all other water activities. Short walk to downtown. GREAT house for families and groups. Very comfortable and functional.

We had a great time staying here for the weekend. House has everything you need and can walk to anything in Wrightsville Beach you might want to do. Should have brought my fishing rods for the dock!

We love staying in this wonderful beach house! We were raised in Wilmington, and have played at Wrightsville Beach for decades. We have rented this house many summers and have recently realized how lovely the beach is in winter! Specifically we love this house for its location (close to the ocean and the sound), for the dock we use for our boat, the wonderful dining room table which almost seats all of us, the kitchen is very well equipped, bedrooms are nice, and you can’t beat the sunsets from the wonderful porch. It also helps that with our large family, some can stay at the nearby Blockade Runner, but join us for meals and gatherings. Owners are very gracious and communicate well.

My family has stayed in this house many, many times over a period of 45 years. The house retains its lovely beachy feel although it has been updated and improved over the years. This is a classic Wrightsville Beach experience. Two porches give you an opportunity to follow the breeze in the summer , and watch the boat activity in the Sound year-round. The pier is a new addition, and a great addition! The layout is split-level, so you are not constantly climbing full flights of stairs to get to another floor. Great location in the middle of the Beach. We love this cottage!

This house was the perfect place for our cousin reunion! Beautiful view of the sound, awesome deck for sitting in the sunlight, the most stocked kitchen I've ever seen, lots of room for family socializing, beautiful decorating, plenty of privacy, quick hop to the public beach access...I could go on & on. Thank you for a fantastic spot!

This house was perfect for several generations of our family. The dorm style bedrooms allowed diffetent age cousins to be groups. And the large dining table allowed us all to share meals.

The property met our need of housing our family for a graduation, birthday and Christmas celebration. The location was enjoyed by most, even in the cold weather. We did see several roaches, which was not appreciated. I think the cleaning fee should be charged up front. Everyone had a good time.

This wonderful beach cottage accommodated our family of 10 beautifully! The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we could ever want and the living room was big and spacious enough for all to gather at day’s end. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. We practically lived on the sound side where we could get all the sun we wanted or enjoy the breeze under the covered deck area. It was the perfect house for us!

This house is wonderful. It swallows a crowd of people--there are many nooks/porches if you want to find some solitude, but the whole gang can gather in the living area or on the main porch. The owners/managers are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the location is fantastic. Plenty of parking, plenty of beds, the rooms are larger than they look in the pictures and it's just a 10 out of 10 for everything!

Perfect house and location. Comfortable seating areas inside and out for groups. Kitchen well stocked. Owners very accommodating. Would definitely rent again and recommend. Only inconvenience was having to bring our own linens as there are 8 single beds and we had to scrounge around to find find twin sets. Linen service was too expensive for a weekend stay.

We had our annual girls getaway at the Allen Cottage. We've stayed there before and loved it. With the recent renovations they did the impossible and made it even better (while preserving the charm and family feel of the cottage). The location is perfect for us to walk to island restaurants and a short walk to the beach. We hope to stay there again, and again, and again!!!!

The Allen's Cottage is the perfect location between sound and ocean. The house provided an indescribable Wrightsville Beach warmth with breathtaking views from the front deck. We appreciated the open floor plan, beautiful kitchen, and dining area. We would highly recommend booking your next family vacation here.
