About this house rental
Practical, simple accommodation one block from the beach! Great for experienced travelers who want to unplug and enjoy local culture.
Minutes from the downtown square, public transit, restaurants, sports bar, and grocery stores.
Beautiful, older casita with hacienda style vintage furniture and lots of natural light. One block from the beach. You can hear the surf from the patio and with the windows open.
Fully furnished living, dining, lounge, patio, and bedrooms. Comfy mattresses and quality linens and pillows. Kitchen equipped for those who love to cook - new hot water heater and gas stove with oven, fridge, toaster, blender, frying & sauce pans.
Open plan due to first bedroom divided off by decorative concrete block and second room without door. Curtains provide partial visual privacy. A small safe is provided for your valuables.
Two boogie boards, beach chairs, beach umbrella and 2 beach towels provided.

NOTE: bedrooms are not closed off from one another and it has more the feel of one big open space. This is traditional in many local homes. While the casita can sleep more than 4, please consider the open floor plan before booking.
House has WiFi but internet in village is inconsistent. House has four ceiling fans for ventilation. No air conditioning nor clothes washing machine. There is a full service laundromat three blocks away.
Bathroom, while functional, is old with oxidation on grout and old fixtures.
SAFETY for CHILDREN / ACCESSIBILITY: There is a recently constructed upper shaded patio with a minimal hand rail and narrow, spiral stairwell. Some electricity is surface run and homes in this area are not wired with grounded outlets.
NOISE: Casita Estrella is located in the vibrant center of town where there can be much activity. Neighbors have chickens, dogs and roosters. It is next to the local Catholic Church and the bells are loud. Once or twice a week, there is a "Rooster Mass," as the locals joke, meaning the church bells are rung at 6:30am in time with the local roosters crowing. Also, the house is off a square used for basketball and soccer play, so games go on a few nights a week. We love hearing the locals (adults and children) playing sports, like having a live sports feed. There can be a game playing or a bouncing basketball until 11pm at night. Basketball and soccer ball provided. Neighbors play traditional music loud on occasion.

I was looking for the best place to stay without spending very much money and this may be it! The listing matched the description and the reviews. Jennifer and her Housekeeper Annie were great communicators. 1 block from the beach, across the street from my favorite LDM coffee and crepes, not to mention Pepe and Alex’s tacos!

The unit provides all you could want for fun with the family entertainment- only downside is the noise from basketball court right outside the door and church bells start very early Sunday! Otherwise đź‘Ť

I didn’t want to leave!
Everything about this rental was wonderful. It was comfortable, clean, and located very conveniently near the beach and everything else. The location was safe and the house completely secure. And there was a great place to park our vehicle right outside the door - a bonus. The house itself had everything we needed for a great vacation which, in our case, included cooking, relaxing, outdoor activities, beachtime, movienights, and sleeping. We live in Mexico and so are familiar with vacation rentals here and I can tell you that the bed linens are usually terrible and uncomfortably hot (which is a big negative as we all spend about half our lives in bed). So it is worth noting that this was not the case at Casita Estrellas! We were delighted at the plentiful pillows and cushions, and high quality bed linens and towels (particularly the comfy cool bedding). And then there was the service… the property management & housekeeping service by Ani and her team went beyond expectations in terms of friendliness, helpfulness and response time. Example: I needed a medical specialist for an injury and Ani was able to quickly refer me to what turned out to be the best osteo doctor in Nayarit. Ani’s response time, no matter how trivial the matter, was fast and helpful. Ditto for the owner Jennifer who was very friendly and extremely helpful as well. I could sit and write a long list of all the things I loved about our stay at Casita Estrellas but I don’t really need to because I can sum it up in one word… “fabulous!” I would love to return and very highly recommended Casita Estrellas. MuchĂsimas gracias Jennifer & Ani!!!

A great place to stay!
I loved this location! So close to the beach, swimming, surfing, and sunsets, but also within walking distance of any shops and restaurants in town. ALL the systems worked perfectly,-electricity, internet, fans, plumbing, hot water, stove, movie screen. Plus the amenities were great- bicycles, snorkeling gear, stand up paddleboard, beach towels, beach bag, etc. I would stay here again in a minute, already dreaming of travel for next year!

Clean and well kept house, steps to the beach and restaurants. The owner was fantastic to deal with and very prompt in responding to any questions. Cute, quiet town. We'll be back.

Lo De Marcos
We had a beautiful stay in Lo De Marcos at Jennifer Pako's casita which is only a three minute walk to the beach. All necessary amenities in the casita are available and anything else is nearby such as grocery stores, fish market, bakeries, and restaurants. We loved this little town and we will be back again. Thank you Jennifer.

The property was exactly as shown. Jennifer was very attentive and always there if needed.
Lo De marcos was awesome. Everything was close and convenient. Food at local establishments was delicious. Barbeques at home were great as local meat and fish markets had lots ready and available. Always fresh fruit and veggies to purchase at local markets and daily trucks. 200 steps from front door of casita to the beach. Ani was very pleasant & thorough on cleaning days. Beds are comfy, casita is spacious. Beach chairs & umbrella very handy! Bikes and cart to tow along were great for grocery day! Buses and cabs were easy to catch if wanting to explore outside of town. Casita Estrella is a gem!

Awesome property and location!
I had a wonderful time. The home is as advertised. It's really just 100 meters to the beach, not a block. You can hear the surf with the windows open. The people of Lo De Marcos are really helpful and always ready to smile. Jennifer, the owner is super!! She will go out of her way to make sure you have enough knowledge to make your stay stress free. It's such a nice village I've decided to retire there and already leased a home. Come visit, you'll be happy you did. Thanks Jennifer!!!

What a wonderful casita! So close to the beach!
What a wonderful casita, so close to the beach. It had everything we needed and even more. Jennifer made sure we had everything we needed before our arrival and during our stay too. She made sure that everything was perfect. We really felt at home as soon as we got there. The beds are comfortable, the patio is awesome and you walk two minutes and your at the beach. At night you can hear the waves from the casita. We are definitely going back. Thanks for everything.

Wow......
What we experienced here in Lo De Marcos is quite frankly indescribable. The casita and Jennifer’s attention concerning our comfort and needs went above and beyond what we could’ve imagined. My girlfriend and I highly recommend this accommodation for a wonderful visit to Lo De Marcos.
