This brand new contemporary Craftsman home on the Park is owner-built with exceptional attention to detail. Majestic Whatcom Falls Park borders the property, with its pristine 244 acres of trails, waterfalls, swimming holes, and wildlife literally right out the back door. This home was built to be enjoyed with comfortable contemporary furnishings, tasteful art, warm fireplaces, and cozy gathering places. In all seasons you'll be treated to an abundance of light from numerous skylights, large windows, French doors, and a beautiful sunroom.
The open floor plan on the main floor is great for family and corporate gatherings. The master suite with it's gas fireplace, private deck over looking the park, vaulted ceilings, Bose surround sound system, and jetted bath tub for two, is perfect for the romantic getaway. Completed in 2008, you'll find its details stylish and contemporary, as well as timeless in quality--solid granite counter tops, stainless appliances, cast iron claw foot bath tub, marble steam room, real flagstone and VG Fir fireplace. We needed a place with 4 bedrooms for multiple couples ranging in age from 20’s to 70’s. We loved that each bedroom had a king size comfortable bed with plenty of pillows and blankets. The bathrooms are spacious and nice. The kitchen had everything we needed. And the family enjoyed having walking trails so easy to access. I’d definitely stay here again and would recommend it. It was a nice neighborhood and close enough to anything we needed.

My family LOVED our time in this beautiful home in Bellingham. We were visiting Bellingham to attend our son's wedding. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood, just a few minutes drive from a charming downtown (filled with great coffee shops, restaurants, and shopping opportunities).
The house backs up to Whatcom Falls Park, with nice trails and a beautiful waterfall. We were able to walk through the woods to a park that had a children's playground, covered pavilions, and tennis courts.
The house is very comfortable. The layout was perfect for several families (or couples) with the bedroom layed out to provide plenty of privacy.
The kitchen is fully stocked with all the plates, cups, bowls, silverware, pots and pans to enable home-cooked meals.
The living room is very large and was a great place to sit and chat. My daughter and her husband loved to sit in the window seats and chat each morning.
The piano was a nice addition, as my son plays piano and he was able to play a few tunes on evening,
The beds are very comfortable. The owner provides fans for each bedroom for the warmer summer nights.
The bathrooms were nice, with plenty of hot water and good water pressure.
The sunroom was very comfortable and a great place to sit and read a book.
We enjoyed time on the backdeck and the private backyard. There is also a hot tub on the deck.
My family enjoyed staying at his house. It was very comfortable. We found Erik to be very helpful and he responded quickly.

Location, backyard, space for family to spread out are the key benefits for this property. Definitely walk to the falls if you stay here! Lovely walk right on the park. We were all family in town for a wedding and stayed here. It was perfect location with loads of hang out space so we didnt feel on top of eachother and rooms for everyone. All in all it was perfect for our stay
Only minor call out is that alot of the outside furniture was too dirty to sit on and we wiped a bunch of the chairs down in order to enjoy dinner at the outside table. The upstairs deck and chairs could do with a clean too.

This house was exactly like the listing. Perfect house for 4 couples. Kitchen was great and the beds were comfortable. The backyard was beautiful with visits from bunnies and deer. Erik, the owner, communicated with me well.

This house was perfect for our group consisting of 7 female family members (aunts/cousins/wives of cousins). Lots of room to spread out in the kitchen for card games, plenty of room in the living room to enjoy a movie on a rainy evening. The kitchen had lots of quality dishware, cutlery and glasses. The bedrooms and bathrooms were stocked with high quality linens, in generous supply. The mattresses were also very deluxe, causing a few of us to consider an upgrade on our return home. The backyard is lovely, with beautiful plantings and a nice deck to enjoy the sun and surroundings. Communication with the host was excellent. The location next to Whatcom Park was extremely enjoyable. What a treat to have such a beautiful park available out the back fence! We used it at least once each day. The house is located in a very nice neighborhood that was fun to walk. It is very close to a movie theatre, grocery stores, Costco, restaurants. I would highly recommend this property.

We loved this house- plenty of room for all of our group with privacy. We enjoyed hanging out together in the sun room and watching the deer in the beautiful back garden. Lovely and well-equipped kitchen let us host extended family for a meal- definitely a great property!

The home is lovely and spacious. There were 8 of us with plenty of room to spread out and sleep. From there, we day-tripped to Vancouver, Seattle, and the North Cascades. The kids went to Whatcom Falls Park every day, a 5 min walk. Other major perks: the piano and hot tub! Both were used daily. Everyone in the family would enthusiastically recommend this listing.

This was our home base while in town for our daughter's wedding and it worked perfectly. The kitchen had everything we needed, the bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, there was plenty of bathroom space for everyone to get ready for the big event. Quiet setting next to the park.

We enjoyed our stay and the house fit our needs well. Great location near nature and a close drive to downtown. It’s worth noting that you don’t have garage access which we had not realized in advance. There’s also an additional attached unit with someone present which we didn’t know. It wasn’t a problem, just felt it should have been in listing. Overall, a good stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed this home for a daughter's wedding in Bellingham. It was the perfect size for my wife and I and a family of 6 with us. The beds were reasonably comfortable, and the supply cabinets were generous. The access to the park was perfect for a relaxing walk to Whatcom Falls. Thanks to the management!

We have stayed at this property three times in 7 years and we all have fond memories of the sunroom, backyard, access to walking trails, peaceful setting, and even the steam shower! Erik is a great host. Plenty of towels for our group and a well supplied kitchen make this a home away from home.

Close enough to the park for a nice long walk, and secluded enough that there wasn't any real outside noise to speak of. Short drive to downtown Bellingham and all the great things there as well.

The layout of the house was perfect. There were six of us ladies so we appreciated the three full bathrooms. The backyard is private and welcomes deer and black squirrels.
Erik was a great host and always quick to respond with any questions. The only concerns are the upstairs bedroom wasn't swept or vacuumed as there was hair and other dirt on the floor. Additionally, the interior of the home is in need of some fresh paint in certain areas and some tile repair. Overall, the house was a good rental for us though.

This house has everything you need. Was just there with friends from all over the country and all of us were impressed. Complete kitchen - and table seating for 8 inside or outside on the back deck area. Good outdoor grill. Roomy hot tub; lovely private back yard. A doe and her 2 fawns hung out for awhile one day. Four bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. One bathroom has a steam shower! There were 8 of us and the size of the house was appreciated. We were able to park 6 cars off-street, with room for another one. Highly recommend this house. Erik is great too - either answered my calls or called back quickly.

We had the grandparents with us and the access to Whatcom Falls big even trails allowed them to enjoy daily walks in the lovely park despite their limited mobility. House was well stocked with plenty of bath products, towels, and paper products plus a well stocked kitchen. Thanks for making the check in/out process so easy!

This large, lovely home was the base for family in town for a wedding at Lairmont Manner. Accommodated our group of 9 perfectly. We are a group of yogis who came to Bellingham for a yoga retreat. The house was perfect! There is a fabulous sunroom where we could sit and talk. Spacious accommodations and everything in good working order. Another great feature was the beautiful backyard with quick access to the spectacular park and grounds behind the home. We hope to come back next year and would love to rent this home again!

Enjoyed our stay at this house. Plenty of room for all of us, puzzles and games for our down time and the hot tub was fabulous. Appreciated the filtered water and loved the kitchen. We made very little garbage since we were able to cook our own meals. The house borders a park so there was some hiking trails we enjoyed too.
Checking in was simple. There is an apartment upstairs that is rented out and UPS delivered a package for that person. We left it on the steps but after a couple days we brought it inside. We didn't want to disturb the person, but we also didn't want the package to be taken.
Overall, a wonderful visit with family and I would definitely rent this place again.

This home was great for our family as we prepared for our Daughters wedding at Lairmont Manor. Lots of room for all of us to be together. Well stocked kitchen, and home. Didn’t have to worry about running out and purchasing the essentials. The house if very cozy, comfortable bedrooms, the solarium was one of our favorite rooms, pretty to look out at the trees changing color and at night you can see the stars. The Watcom Falls Park was beautiful in October. Erik was great and responded promptly if we had any questions. Would recommend to staying at this home.

4 of us rented this gorgeous house as our landing pad during an intensive conscious dance experience. We loved the light, especially in the sun room and the skylights everywhere.
Amenities such as a washer-dryer, a hot-tub, full kitchen with modern appliances, luxurious beds and plush robes made for a fantastic place to relax and relate.

This is the best property for a family vacation in the Bellingham area. The beds were very relaxing and pretty, plenty of room to gather in the living room, a reading "nook" that goes the length of the wall of the living room, which we utilized, two very large TVs, and an upstairs master suite to die for. Kitchen was amazingly well-stocked for a vacation home, complete with every spice imaginable. Plenty of pots and pans and dishes, along with a spotless refrigerator. The backyard and back patio area is lovely, like an English garden, and our family ate dinner out there almost every single night. The hot tub was utilized when temperatures cooled down a bit as well. The house is a very short walk to the falls, where you can sit by the waterfall and swimming hole and watch people get up their nerve to jump into the ice cold water below and maybe talk yourself into it! A mother deer and her baby visited us every night as well in the back yard (we did not feed them). A very short drive from all to see in Bellingham, and the host provides a book with detailed notes on local points of interest, yummy places to eat (we tried three from that list and they were all 5-stars!) and fun things to do. We were there in the summer time when things were lovely and given the house has two fireplaces, it's probably very cozy during winter as well. If we return to the area for another vacation, we will be renting this house! One note about Erik, the host: we realized that the washing machine was giving us an error message on Day 5 of our stay, so after trying to solve the problem ourselves we contacted him. He came over within 20 minutes of our message and when he realized he was unable to fix the machine, he went and bought a new one that day! Talk about a great host! The owners are also very environmentally conscious and encourage guests not to use single-use plastics and they recycle. So they have three different water filters for drinking. There is no reason at all to buy single-use plastics and more people should adopt that lifestyle. I cannot say enough amazing things about this neighborhood, this location, and this wonderful house. You will be thrilled to stay there.

We had a wonderful time staying at this clean, spacious property. It backs onto Whatcom Falls park and we were able to enjoy the outdoors every morning. This is our second time at this home and I highly recommend it! Of note for coffee drinkers who pack their own beans, they have a drip coffee machine so bring ground beans and coffee filters.
