We chose this house for its big fireplace, river views, and proximity to cross country ski trails, and all those were great! We had no snow, however, so we just did some train running and hiking instead and would love to return when there is some snow. The fireplace is double-facing and really big -- plenty of wood. We loved watching the ducks swim around in the river while sipping our coffee. The heating system in the house is very warm. We enjoyed the place very much.

We had a wonderful time! October in the upper lower peninsula of Michigan is the best! We enjoyed everything about the Roscommon property- the house, the location, the views. Bill was a very gracious host and very attentive and easy to ask questions and get answers!

Nothing else to say our third trip and we'll be back!

The cabin was very nice and easily accommodated our family. Great location in relation to Forrest Dunes as well.

We loved the house and views! Close to downtown Roscommon which made it convenient for dinner and quick trips! Easy check in/out. House was very clean and comfortable! Will definitely be booking here next year!

We enjoyed our visit to Roscommon. The home is well maintained and lovely with plenty of room for 5 adults. Our only concern was that no iron was found but a broken ironing board was in the garage but we survived! The area is beautiful!

This is our second time renting this house, first in the summer. It was a great time with close access to canoeing and town in case you forget anything. Plus, it’s nice having the river right there to cool off in. It’s very shallow but our three year old daughter loved being able to run around in it

We enjoyed our stay. The pool table was a pleasant surprise and we enjoyed that. Spent a day at Mackinac Island. Hanging out at the fire pit got rained out. Loved the big kitchen where everyone could hang out and talk. Saw deer crossing river. Close to town but secluded.

We had a terrific time in Roscommon. The home is in a great location and close to everything we wanted to do. We only had one rainy day and loved that we could play pool and games, or even separate to our rooms for down time. Had to call owner once about a small problem and he was on it very quickly. Enjoyed the fire-pit, the river view, horseshoes, close access to Campbell's canoe and kayak livery. We could walk from the home to the Tisdale Triangle Trail head as it is right at the end of Esther Ct. Short drive to the Marguerite Gahagan Nature Preserve and close enough to 1-75 that a trip to Hartwick Pines was an easy drive. I also loved that there were three bathrooms each with its own shower! This local would be great for a friend's retreat or family reunion.

As always, we had a wonderful vacation here and will be back again!

If you are looking for a clean, beautiful home in the Roscommon area, this is it! We had 6 adults, a 7 year old and two dogs and the home, river front and location were perfect. It is very private. Great swimming, playing in river, fishing for husband in area and petting zoo was great and so close by. We really wished we had booked it for a couple days longer! Thank you!

This home was really comfortable, clean, true to the photos and close to kayaking and hiking. Being able to bring two dogs was the best. My dog enjoyed the river and had a great time. My family and I had a wonderful vacation and plan on returning next year. It has everything you need and super close to a grocery store which alleviated bringing up a lot of food

We had a lovely stay. Sitting out on the patio and looking over the river was very peaceful. Despite having neighbors on all sides, it felt very secluded and was quiet. The view of the fireworks over the river on the 4th was an added treat! The home had everything we could need to make our stay comfortable.

The house was perfect for our group. Sitting on the deck in the morning and evening drinking wine and playing dominoes.hopping for groceries etc was less then 10 minutes away. WE would definately rent this house again. It was very clean and pretty much had everything we needed. I've had several email contacts with the host and he was super helpful. One suggestion I would make is to have an umbrella for the deck. Also, maybe some instructions for the stove, radio and TV.

Bill’s property in Roscommon is perfect for nature lovers! It’s a scenic property overlooking the river. A relaxing retreat! The house has beautiful views overlooking the river and all the wildlife to go with it.

This property is fabulous! We have come back here year after year. Not only is it clean and inviting, it's a great location for cross country skiing. When we aren't out skiing or enjoying downtown Roscommon, we also like to use the large table in the dining room to play board games and look out the amazing picture windows at the river, the woods, and the bald eagle that year after year is spotted flying by the house several times a day. Thanks again for the wonderful stay!! We'll be back again next year!

Great location- close to downtown and right around the corner from the canoe drop off. Also, a short 10 min drive to the Cross Country Ski Headquarters!

Had a great time at this spacious house with amazing views out of the many windows! Only 3 of us (2 adults, 1 toddler) but would easily accommodate many more, especially with the 3 full bathrooms. Neighborhood is very peaceful and close to town (could walk to the grocery store if wanted since it was a mile away). We stayed in winter but are looking forward to coming back in the summer to enjoy the river. We loved having the indoor fireplace and he even was nice enough to supply wood!

A great place in a scenic setting! Everything a group of bird hunting buddies and their dogs needed. Hope to make it a third time next year.

Four brothers stayed at for the past 3 nights.Perfect location for some hiking and golf.Close to town, but didn’t feel like it.House had everything we needed, as we cooked all meals at home.Definitely stay there agaib

Great location for golfers going to Forest Dunes (or even the courses in Gaylord). The house is spacious, clean, and but for the rain, the fire pit and deck would have been fantastic.

The house is great. It is stocked much better than I thought. Everything I forgot was there and some things I brought were there! The owner is fantastic. My only complaint is that he didn’t come to have a drink with us! First sibling vacation since we were kids. None of us are under 45. The neighbors are patient because I know we were kind of loud at some times. Friendly neighborhood & lots of places for walking. A winter trip would be fun and is a thought being tossed around. Thank you very much!!!

Went for a summer vacation with the family. We choose a new place every year. This was perfect for what we needed. We will definitely come back again.
