About this apartment rental
Experience the beautiful Sonoma wine country in a quiet, secluded, spacious rural setting yet 5 minutes away from the Plaza downtown and many wineries. You will be the only guests. We welcome you to enjoy the resort like property which has a beautiful large saltwater pool with spacious limestone deck, spa, fruit, vegetable, flower, and tree gardens with a plethora of migratory birds and a large family of quail who visit.
Stay in a resort setting in over half an acre of organic flower and vegetable gardens, fruit trees, and a spacious, lush lawn. Relax in hot tub spa or get your daily workout in the 38 ft. X 18 ft. ( 11.5 m x 5.5 m) in salt water pool on the 1000 sq. ft (93 sq. m) pool deck. Pool has an automatic cover for safety and warmth. It will only be heated by request during off season (between approximately November 1st through April 30th) and with an additional charge. Please let us know when booking the property if you wish to have the pool heat turned on during off season for a charge of $50 activation fee and $50/night during the low season.
You will be only guests at Casa Feliz. Multiple umbrellas, pool toys, teak lounges, chairs, and lounging areas. So, you can either chat or get some quiet time alone under the shade of the old, huge Acacia trees or soak up the famous Sonoma sun. Swim towels are in your room.
The studio is on one level with all solid hardwood and tile floors to enhance cleanliness. There is plenty of parking in the driveway and on the street in front of the house.
The large master suite is a private entry, comfortable, tastefully furnished room with king bed high thread count luxury linens, your own en-suite bathroom with radiant heat tile floors, Brazilian hardwood floors, original artwork, and 2 large closets with hangers. Private fridge, coffee maker ( drip or Kuerig- cups supplied), kettle, wine and other glasses, plates, cups, cutlery, salt pepper, sugar provided, Outside the master suite you can enjoy your private flagstone patio with flowers, trees, sun and shade to read, dine, or lounge.
High speed Wi-fi including out at the pool.
Soap, shampoo and conditioner are supplied. Towels, robes and slippers are supplied. Hangers are provided in all closets.
Beside and beyond the lawn is our fruit and flowering trees/bushes and past our orchard is another orchard. From your patio you are able to enjoy the view of the .5 acre property expansive green grass, the olive, acacia, apple, peach, walnut, persimmon, pomegranate, plum, guava trees, and the pool area. Listen to the birds and watch the fat quail make their trek through the neighborhood while you have your morning coffee or your afternoon glass of wine.
After a hard day of shopping, swimming, biking, reading, sleeping, or wine tours, enjoy the sunset by soaking in the salt water hot tub with a mini-bamboo forest behind you and in front of you the view of a small vineyard and vegetable garden -all this while sipping your preferred beverage.
It’s a 5 min drive or bike ride or a 20 min walk on flat terrain to historic Sonoma Plaza, wineries, dining, tasting rooms, shopping. A few blocks away there is a bike trail leading downtown and through to the east side. Bike rentals are available in town.
As an option, there is also a hiking trail along the way to the Plaza which takes you up over the Montini Pasture and a gentle climb small hill overlooking Sonoma where it comes out a block from the Plaza. We have picnic hampers and backpacks available for your use.
There are several (15 or more) wine tasting rooms on the Plaza representing many of the local wineries.

My husband and I were warmly greeted by Marcus the host. The outdoor space was so inviting, we would have loved to swim in the pool but the weather did not cooperate. The room was well furnished but a bit on the small side. This is a great location for exploring Sonoma.

An Oasis in Sonoma!
This is the perfect place to stay while exploring Sonoma. The garden is glorious, Marcus - your host - is extremely kind and responsive, the pool is delightful and it's surprisingly close to most things. The bed is also extremely comfortable. We had a great time. I would absolutely stay again!

Tranquil, relaxing and great location as this place is a quick drive or 30 min walk to Sonoma square. Marcus made the check in process so easy. We enjoyed some quiet time poolside and a game of cards in the garden while sipping champagne. Would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful place!
We truly enjoyed this place. It was perfect for our sister getaway! We could sit back and enjoy the private patio area and the pool and hot tub, or go out and enjoy the great food, wine and beer of the area. The weather was perfect! We will be back!

What a find!
Perfect for a weekend getaway to the wine country, this jewel is a 10 minute drive from Sonoma Plaza. Accommodations were clean, quiet, very comfortable and well maintained. Meditative...
Our stay was like a dream. We thoroughly enjoyed the backyard complete with a variety of birds, beautiful gardens, various meditative sitting areas, a salt water pool and hot tub, all in a private setting of vineyards next door and trees all around.
Our room was very clean and included all the amenities we needed.
Quiet, nice neighborhood, close to downtown Sonoma .

A beautiful experience
If you’re travelling to Sonoma, you must try and stay here.
Marcus and Marilyn have crafted the most stunning back yard complete with a lovely pool and hot tub.
Marcus gave us great suggestions of places to go and see during our visit and was a treat to talk to.
Check in and check out was a breeze and Marcus could be reached via text whenever we needed.
The room was spacious and comfortable and we really enjoyed the bottle of sparkling brüt left for us in the mini fridge on our personal garden patio.
Thanks so much for making our first trip to Sonoma one to remember!

Cozy
This rental wasn't exactly what we expected. The room is connected to the main house. The description doesn't say "Casita" but for some reason that's what I expected from the pictures.
My wife and I had just finished a white water rafting trip in Yosemite and were pressed to make it to the property during the recommended check in times. Adriana was very prompt and responsive in our communication. She even sent a detailed video of the check in because we arrived so late.
Our initial impression of the property wasn't the greatest because we were looking forward to the hot tub upon arrival (and it wasn't a Casita) but for some reason the hot tub wasn't fully turned on. We had asked Adriana to fire it up for us earlier in the day but it was bath water when we arrived.
We actually considered leaving the first night to a resort but decided to go hit the downtown instead.
We got the hot tub fired up for day two so we were relieved that we stuck around. This was our first time to the Sonoma/Napa area so we spent most of our time out and about so the rental really just served as a home base for our luggage and sleeping.
The bed was very comfortable, the location was great. The outdoor mini fridge was a nice touch, I was able to store some night cap beers in it. It felt like we had the house to ourselves because we didn't hear or run into Marcus any of the three days. Check out was also very simple and streamlined.
The outdoor amenities of this rental are great but would be better suited for a larger party, I would only consider renting this property again if we had the entire house and could bring friends to stay with us. Overall we enjoyed staying here but would absolutely pick a hotel/resort if we could do it all over again.

Beautiful, clean property and a welcoming host! We loved the nice touches, such as a bottle of champagne waiting for us, a keurig in the room, and the travel scrabble which we thoroughly enjoyed. The mattress was SO COMFORTABLE, which was a really nice surprise!!! :) Would come back in a heartbeat - minutes away from Sonoma Square.

Very comfortable weekend getaway minutes from downtown Sonoma
We enjoyed an amazing, quiet weekend getaway from the hustle bustle of San Francisco. Marcus was a very kind host, greeting us when we arrived and showing us around the property. The room has a private entrance and a very comfy kingsized bed. The accommodations were very modern and included a bottle of sparkling wine! During your stay, the entire backyard is at your disposal including a fire pit, pool, and hot tub. We took advantage of the pool, which was the perfect temperature, given the sunny, 90 degree days (pool towels were provided). For a few hours each day, we ventured into Sonoma which was a 7 min car ride (Uber was easy to get in the area, phone service was working fine) for some tasty eats and wine tasting. I would highly recommend a stay here. Thanks, Marcus!

Great relaxing experience!
We loved our time in Sonoma and staying at Marcus’s place was fantastic. He is a great host and goes out of his way to accommodate. The back yard pool area is peaceful, quite and private. The house is located very close to downtown Sonoma and Fairmont spa (highly recommended). All and all it was a great relaxing stay.

Fantastic!!
This property is amazing. Marcus made sure the suite had every amenity. We had big plans for Sonoma wine tasting but the perfect weather and amazing private pool and yard were impossible to resist and we spent a very relaxing weekend mostly enjoying our VRBO. Marcus was attentive (even stocking our refrigerator with local beverages) but never intrusive. We will definitely return!

Perfect Relazing Private Getaway
I took my boyfriend for his birthday the weekend of July 13-15, 2018, and had the BEST time! We absolutley loved Marcus and Marilyn's place. They were the best hosts and let us check in early and had everything we needed, including wine, beer, water, wine glasses, and openers. Marcus met us and showed us how everything worked and was really accomodating to anything we needed. The backyard is seriously like paradise. Marcus had plenty of pool towels set out and ready for us, and we spent hours each day laying by the pool and relaxing. The backyard is really private and so, so, so charming. We loved it. At night, we sat on the patio, and there were a lot of cute lights hung up and turned on in the trees and the gazebo. It's really close to a running trail that will take you into town (about 1.5 miles by the trail). We didn't want to leave and would totally stay again! I highly recommend anyone looking for a romantic, relaxing, perfect weekend!! Thank you Marcus and Marilyn for an AMAZING weekend!
