This one-bedroom one bath apartment has an outstanding view of Folsom Lake in a quiet neighborhood with direct access to a hiking trail along the lake. The property was exactly what I was looking for. I’m so glad that there wasn’t any noisy house construction from the house being built next-door, I mostly just sat on the deck and enjoyed a cup of coffee or tea and watched the wildlife and took a very pleasant hike straight off the property around the lake. I would definitely love to stay there again

We continue to come back to this beautiful place with a view of the lake. It is located very near family we are visiting and we are so happy to have discovered it. The view is spectacular. But the space inside is also so lovely. Wendy and Richard have thought of everything you could need. They are wonderful hosts. Every time we come back we feel like we are returning to a little bit of paradise away from home!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at this very comfortable and clean abode. With a stunning lake view and all the amenities we needed, we wished we could have stayed longer. And Richard and Wendy were fabulous hosts who replied promptly to my questions and even stopped in to check on us and make sure we were enjoying our visit. My wife and I loved our stay in El Dorado Hills from February to May. The Vrbo had access to great hiking trails and wildlife. In spring, there were a ton of wildflowers around the lake and we saw plenty of deer, herons, cranes, turkey, and other birds. Wendy and Richard were also great hosts. They made sure we had everything we needed and were great when it came to answering our questions about the area such as ski resorts and local parks.

My boyfriend and I were in California for 13 day. We spent the first and last 4 nights with family, but wanted to get away in the middle. I found this place online and it was even more amazing than the pictures. It's near everything, the owners were so nice. We were able to come and go as we pleased and the view with the fire pit was amazing! My boyfriend being from Maryland and didn't believe thar Sacramento had any nature and this place proved him wrong. We had the best experience. Only wish we could have stayed all 13 nights here.

Most enjoyable stay!

We all absolutely loved our stay here! We stayed for almost a month and enjoyed the trails around the lake, right from the property! Our dog had the best time playing with the hosts dog, swimming in the lake and watching the deers wander by. It was a convenient location near the city but was so peaceful and felt miles away. We paddleboarded, kayaked, traveled to Auburn to enjoy the trails and couldn't have asked for a better spot or more inviting hosts! Thank you Richard & Wendy!

The main room was great. We weren't cooking so the kitchen was fine but would have been difficult to make a large meal. The bedroom was small but the bed was comfortable so we slept well. The washer dryer came in handy. The location is beautiful and the location was perfect for visiting family. Will stay again

I stayed at the carriage house for almost 4 months working remotely. The size of the unit was perfect for me and my dog. The house had everything we could possibly need and the view from the patio was priceless. The house is located above a separate garage with its own parking area and entrance which made the space feel very private while still having the convenience and security of the hosts just next door. Richard and Wendy were the best hosts I could ask for! They were always so helpful and responsive with any needs in the apartment. They are also extremely generous with recommendations around the area and even brought me along to see some of their favorite trails and breweries. My dog loved playing in the backyard with their sweet dog Lox and going on hikes together on the trails just behind the house. As a woman traveling by myself, it was extremely relieving to have such kind and trustworthy people nearby. As an outdoor enthusiast, the house was conveniently located near many popular mountain biking, hiking, paddle boarding, and skiing locations less than 2 hours away for a day trip. I loved this location and space as a headquarters for all my adventures. I would definitely recommend this space to anyone who wants to explore great outdoor opportunities or just relax on the patio with a beautiful lake view.

This little hide-away near the lake in and in the woods was just what this city girl needed! The sunrise and set set views were breath taking. We loved the accessible hiking paths and my daughter was able to see her first deer. Our hosts were very hospiatable and made us feel very welcome and comfortable.

When searching for a lodging option closer to our daughter in Folsom we happened upon this JEWEL! Tucked neatly on the edge of Folsom lake in an upscale neighborhood we immediately felt as if we were in a private resort! The view from the deck is unparalleled in any commercial property we have stayed at in the area! The touches of BLUE throughout the property mirror the lake bringing a sense of elegant serenity! We were extremely pleased with the value of our stay and can't wait to book the CARRIAGE HOUSE again in the near future!

I stayed at this cozy wonderful place with my husband and 2 kids for a week and loved every moment of it. We had everything we needed and more. The balcony was great, we spend every evening watching the sunset and enjoying the wine the owners left us. Between the beautiful pool and the lake we were in heaven. The Carriage House was a perfect place for me during a difficult time in my life. We had just moved my husband to assisted living in Cameron Park and I needed a place to stay nearby as I am currently traveling back and forth between here and our home in Tahoe. It’s a beautiful spot overlooking Folsom Lake. The apartment is beautifully decorated, very clean, everything you need in the well equipped kitchen. I told Wendy I could live there permanently. Will try to go back. Reason for 4 stars, WiFi not great
