My fiancé and I absolutely adored this property. Perfectly outdoorsy, and incredibly peaceful. The house is beyond adorable and well equipped with everything you need to go to the beach (beach chairs, beach towels, chairs, umbrella, cooler, etc.). Could not recommend this place enough!

Cute little cabin, quiet and remote yet not too far from anywhere you want to go. Loved it 😍

We arrived at the property to see the property owner’s daughter picking Plumeria to make a lei. That’s my first vision of paradise. We drove up the hill and around to our little paradise. A beautiful cabin with a porch overlooking and surrounded by mango trees, palm trees, orchids, and yes many Plumeria (my favorite flower in the world) trees in beautiful colors of white, pink and yellow, pink, yellow and and and! I showered outside with orchids peeking over the wall. Looking at tho other side I could see many mangos in the trees surrounding it.

Very nice cozy cottage. Away from the hustle and bustle of the crowds. We loved the property and all it's beautiful scenery and flowers blooming. Very rustic! Would definitely recommend and if ever back in Kauai would stay here again.

Mahinani’s studio cabin nestled in nature is an absolute gem! Surrounded by lush greenery and serene landscapes, it's the perfect retreat for anyone seeking peace and tranquility. The studio's amenities are just what you need with an awesome outdoor shower, AC (didn’t need it), a beautiful lanai and a kitchenette. The hosts are incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring a seamless and memorable stay. I highly recommend this haven for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and reconnect with the beauty of the great outdoors on Kaua’i.
P.S.
We absolutely loved our visit from WaiWai and Coco

Diana is a lovely host, and I have always received such a warm greeting, and this was my third visit. It's great to stay on an Hawaiian farm, and feel like a local, and not in a busy resort. Though my husband doesn't travel with me, I feel very safe by myself. Outdoor shower is a highlight with the Studio Cabin.
The tall palm trees and green plants and flowering bushes are well established and lush. We are lucky that Diana shares her land. As a nature-loving Canadian, this is Paradise. I plan on booking next year for September.

Perfect if you prefer a non-resort experience. I would come back here again and again. Great location with amazing views of Mt. Kalalea. Lovely walk from the cottage to beautiful empty beach. Good amount of space for 2 people. We loved being on Diana’s beautiful farm amongst the flora and fauna. Market down the street has everything you need, Kalalea Juice Hale is so good for breakfast. We really appreciated the beach gear. Host was readily available but we didn’t need a thing.

One must be able to appreciate nature. This is a unique, bit rustic, little cabin.
We loved, loved, loved it.
Would stay again with no questions.

A beautiful rustic cottage on a farm. With Its own outdoor lanai, bedroom, kitchenette, bathroom with an outdoor shower. There was a fridge, sink, microwave, toaster oven, & individual hot plate plus basic serving dishes. Also a charcoal bbq grill but, you have to go purchase briquettes (we left a bag of them for the next guests.) Had all we needed for a wonderful private stay.

I had an amazing stay on this beautiful property. So glad I found this hidden gem. Very quiet and safe. I hope to return for many years to come whenever I visit Kaua’i. Diana was friendly and very responsive. The location is perfect for those who want to explore both sides of the island. The outdoor shower is divine, and the bed is very comfortable. Highly recommend for anyone who is looking to experience a slice of the real Kaua’i away from the resorts and more touristy areas.

We truly enjoyed our stay at this cute & quant cabin, and felt that it was easier to "live aloha" by experiencing a little taste of life on a farm surrounded by beautiful plants, tall coconut trees, plush green grass, colorful flowers, plentiful chickens, and even a kitty that would come check on us every day. The roosters encouraged us to get an early start every day, and it would've been nice to set their crowing clocks back a couple of hours...but nothing that some airpods can't help with. lol
The bed was comfortable, and there was ample room in the bathroom to leave open two large suitcases. The luggage racks provided allowed us to slide shoes under them as well.
Insturctions were simple and easy to follow. Communication was great. We would not hesitate to stay here again. Loved it!

This cabin was ideal for many reasons. It is off the beaten path and so peaceful. We had coffee on the porch every morning and enjoyed all the birds and trees, so relaxing! In addition, we found it extremely convenient being centrally located on the island. We could get north or south in about 45 mins (or less depending on where you’re headed). We spent about half our time north and half our time south and a day close to Anahola - so absolutely perfect for planning purposes. The outdoor shower was a treat and the entire cabin was clean and as shown in photos and description. We would 100% come back and stay at this location!

Great cabin nestled in the quiet corner of a farm. Perfect for relaxing or as jumping off point to anything on Kauai

Diana has a lovely, rustic cottage tucked away from the tourist areas of Kauai but near enough to Kilauea for dining, shopping and hanging out with a number of quiet beaches nearby. There is the usual crowing of roosters early in the morning but otherwise, it's a lovely place to relax and enjoy a local Kauai experience.

My wife and I have visited Kauai many times and have always found a place to stay other than a resort or hotel. This cabin has been our best stay yet!
Central location on the island, close to beaches, food, and stores. Incredibly beautiful home and location. Great host. I left wishing we could stay there forever. I can’t recommend this cabin enough!
10.0 / 10.0
This cabin is located on a beautiful farm in Anahola, so you have the best of both worlds - close to town and the beach but also private and secluded. The cabin itself is located in a lovely garden of fruit trees, palms, and lush green lawns with a picnic table and a deck to enjoy. There are a couple of small neighbouring buildings beyond the garden but they are plenty far away and separated by trees.
We loved the outdoor shower - it's actually nicer than an indoor shower even at night in the winter. It's properly screened off and private, with more or less instant hot water and good pressure. It's so relaxing to feel the wind and watch the birds over the top of the walls, plus mosquitos don't like the running water so no worries about bugs.
Diana has added lots of personal touches and useful equipment to the cabin, some of which we didn't discover until our last day, so definitely have a scout around to check out what is available. The kitchen is well-equipped, and there are little fold-out tables so if you are feeling adventurous, you can cook some local food. There are also boogie boards, a beach umbrella, snorkel gear, and beach chairs out the back.
As with any location outside of a big hotel or resort, there are roosters crowing early in the morning, so we recommend going to bed early and rising early to make sure you get some sleep!
Overall we had a brilliant time and would definitely return in the future.

Beautiful property on the more remote side of the island. We loved the quick trip over to the beach for sunrises and the mountains just behind the cottage. Diana was very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend.

This is our second time staying at this cabin and we loved our stay just as much this time. Perfect spot to easily reach all sides of the island. Everything you need for a private quiet get away. The land surrounding the property is just gorgeous and very private. Great front porch and the outdoor shower is a slice of heaven. Diana is absolutely wonderful to work for and takes such great care of everything. We will definitely be back for a third visit. Thank you for sharing your beautiful space with us.

Peaceful, private and perfect are the words we keep using to describe our stay. We don’t have a single complaint and would not change a thing. Only wish our trip could have lasted longer!
The property is in the perfect location for traveling the entire island. We very much enjoyed the wildlife and lush landscape.
We cannot wait to plan our next trip!

We thoroughly felt at home in this cabin. The bed was very comfortable. The property was beautiful, and the cabin was well appointed. The outdoor shower and laundry facility were especially appreciated. We would love to return.

The cabin is tucked away on a small farm near Anahola- which we found to be the best landing point on the island. Closer to the north shore where we spent most of our time, but a shorter drive to the sides of the island if we wanted to go explore. Comfortable bed, and awesome outdoor shower. Interior design made you feel right at home. The rooster crows could be quieter- but that’s Kauai I guess!

Diana was a fantastic host, we had a small issue with the hot water not working but she has someone out there ASAP and got it fixed. It’s such a beautiful home, highly would recommend for any couple. A beautiful spot to get away from everything.

This was a lovely 3 night stay after 5 days at a north shore resort. I appreciate the location off the beaten tourist track. The property and grounds are peaceful. Ideal stay for solo or couple. Central east shore location between Kileaua and Kapaa. I super appreciate the check in time flexibility. it made a huge positive difference for me. A big mahalo to Diana!

Great location on east coast so you can go to north shore or south shore fairly quickly. The cabin was set up very nicely and had all the convenient appliances in the kitchen, bathroom stuff, and the bed was comfortable too. It’s also a cool setup with separated kitchen and shower from the bedroom and restroom. The setting was also very beautiful with a variety of plants in a garden setting and the view of the tall mountains nearby.

My husband and I love staying here. The place is perfect for two, the location is one of our favorite places on the island. The outdoor shower is the greatest and feels wonderful. In the evenings we love sitting on the porch and watching the geckos. Diana is kind and helpful. Paradise for two.

Loved this cabin on a farm at the foot of King Kong Mountain,1 mile from an uncrowded beach. We only saw locals at this beach. Location on the east side was superb for accessing the entire island if you have a car. Lush garden around property with coconut trees which we were allowed to eat from. Grounds are well kept. Loved sitting on the porch. Bed slept great and cabin was well equipped. Bedroom has window unit air conditioner which kept bedroom cool at night and in mornings. However, it couldn’t handle mid-day temperatures. A larger unit may be needed. But we we’re out and about during most days. I would definitely recommend this cute, comfortable cabin!

The cabin was very well situated and well furnished (the beach chairs and the cooler were a really nice touch! ). I loved the outside shower, the garden and sleeping with the sound of nature around me. I will definitely come back here one day.

My daughter and I stayed for 4 days and think this was perfect accommodation. Private, cozy & pretty. Live the outside shower and private little porch for coffee in the morning. Great location, not too far from anything. Great nearby beach for catching sunrise. Host checked in to see if we had everything we needed and chickens & geckos kept us company. Clean & inviting. Hope you are lucky enough to stay here!

My wife and I had an amazing time at the cabin. We enjoyed the surrounding nature and the quiet atmosphere of the area. It was not far from grocery stores or beaches, making our stay both comfortable and enjoyable. Diana was very thoughtful in all of the amenities she provided. We had a wonderful time, and would recommend to any pair of travelers, whether local to or visiting Hawaii.

Simply put, we couldn’t have hoped for a better experience. From the friendly interactions with our host Diana to the plethora of fragrant flowering trees - everything was great. This is not a luxury accommodation; the cabin is simple in design and includes geckos and bugs (not so much inside of you keep the doors closed). But you have everything you need and the amount of space and privacy provided for you is ridiculous. We chose to not rent a car during our 10-day trip. Instead, we used the local bus which was reliable and fun (the bus stop is exactly 1km from the cabin down a gravel path). It’s also possible to walk down to a beautiful beach which we did several times. If you’re looking for accommodation that includes room service, close by nightlife and restaurants, then this isn’t for you. If you want complete privacy, the sounds of tropical birds (including those darn roosters!) and distant waves crashing onto Anahola Beach, and a front yard full of tropical flowers, you’ve found your paradise

I loved this property because it wasn't a "hotel" experience. I loved the outdoor shower. I loved hearing the morning noises of birds and chickens. I loved how peaceful and quiet everything was. It was exactly what I wanted to experience on Kauai. :-)

This was such a wonderful experience and this cottage is absolutely beautiful. My hubby and I have never traveled and let alone solo without the kidos and I got to say we had the time of our lives. This cottage is a slice of paradise. Beautiful location, beautiful scenery, beautiful owner that was so loving and sweet. We feel blessed to have stayed here and now we are planning a 2nd trip next year and maybe bringing the kids next time. Thank you so sooo much

When we drove up the driveway and saw the Mountain View we were in awe. This place truly was amazing. If it’s available book it!! Loved the outdoor shower and the doggies that visited us during our stay. Bed was comfortable as well! Such a perfect place to give you a true feel of the island of Kauai. I will definitely be booking in the future!

My boyfriend and I absolutely loved our stay here! The porch, the geckos, the dogs, the birds, the OUTDOOR shower! It’s what I would want if we were fortunate enough to live on this beautiful island! If you’re in to quaint cabins tucked into the woods, do yourselves a favor and book this!

A beautiful property that is secluded and convenient. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and appreciated the extra touches from our host Diana. 100% recommend if you are looking for something different than a resort vibe.
10.0 / 10.0
We went looking for the "non-tourist" approach to the island. The ohana was perfect, well appointed, including beach equipment, for a very comfortable one month stay. "Clean" with all the necessities. Like most tropical destinations, there were mosquitoes, Diana was so good to make provisions to manage. As mentioned, there were roosters & chickens which just added to and created more of an adventure. We "will" be going back.
