LARIMER COUNTY VACATION HOME RENTAL Approval Number: 20-NCD0260
Stay in our completely remodeled state-of-the-art all-season log home in the backyard of Rocky Mountain National Park - an Estes Park mountain living experience with direct views of Longs Peak. Cozy, comfortable, and reasonably priced for a 2,500-square-foot 4-bedroom home! We can accommodate a maximum of 10 guests.
WE HAVE RECENTLY UPGRADED ALL THE BEDS AND THE CURRENT CONFIGURATION IS 4 KING BEDS AND 2 FLOOR QUEEN MATTRESSES. Therefore it is different from the older pictures as shown.
The home is fully furnished and equipped with everything you will need for your stay including kitchen utensils and cookware. It has an electric fireplace, air conditioning in the loft that cools the entire upper and main level, and 4 private sleeping areas with 3 full bathrooms. You will be the only occupants of the house. The house is professionally cleaned. We have 2 big-screen TVs at 50 and 40 inches. A 3rd small TV is in one of the bedrooms. The kitchen is state-of-the-art with a whirlpool refrigerator, a 4-top cooking stove, 1 oven, 1 dishwasher, and a drawer microwave oven. We have a large upper-level wrap-around deck with direct views of the tallest mountain - Longs Peak among many others. We have a washer and dryer. There are a total of 6 beds in the home - 4 King size beds and 2 Queen floor mattresses. Our living room, dining area, and kitchen have direct mountain views. You can hike right out of our front door along Fish Creek to Estes Park Golf Course and to Lake Estes or even to the downtown area. This is an all-season log home.

The Space
We are a 10-15 minute drive from downtown Estes Park. There are many walking trails right outside our home with fishing, boating, and horseback riding within 10 minutes. Enjoy beautiful sunsets from our 2-side wrap-around decking and grill burgers for dinner after hiking. We have spectacular views of the Rocky Mountains in a quiet setting. Up to 10 people can be accommodated per Larimer County and Estes Valley Vacation Home Rental rules.

Guest Access
Comfy pillow-top beds, and brand-new appliances. There is a split system air conditioner for use in the daytime on hot summer days for the main area of the home that cools the 2 adjacent bedrooms, the living and dining area, and the loft bedroom. The loft bedroom has ONE KING BED and two queen-sized floor mattresses and a 3/4 shower bathroom. The main (2nd level) has two bedrooms with ONE KING SIZE bed in each bedroom, and a full bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub in it, 2 vessel sinks on a granite vanity, and a shower and toilet. The smaller loft bathroom has a shower, a vessel sink, and a toilet. GE washer and dryer are in the laundry room with a reach-in closet on the first level. We have salt, pepper, sugar and splenda in the kitchen that we use and you are welcome to use them during your stay. All kitchen and dining accessories that we personally use are provided. There is a CD player/radio and CD collection in the main level kitchen area for your listening enjoyment. There are 3 HD TVs with DVD players and cable service for your viewing pleasure, and to watch movies that we have in the cabinet by the fireplace. The TVs are 40-inch (family room), 26-inch in the main bedroom, and 50-inch in my daughter's bedroom. There is an outdoor grill that we store in the garage for grilling on summer days. There is a 3/4 bathroom with a sink, shower, and toilet located in the garage. You can park your car under the deck or on the large concrete area in front of the house. A maximum of three cars can be parked by guests on the driveway. Larimer County and the Town of Estes Park limit our vacation home to a maximum of four cars that could be parked on the driveway, but the 4th car is exclusively reserved for the homeowners, their staff, and delivery services e.g. USPS, UPS, FedEx, and food/grocery deliveries.

Enjoy your stay here in Estes Park and we hope you enjoy it enough to come back to 400 square miles of Rocky Mountain National Park in our backyard.

Interaction with Guests
Please message (VRBO message board), call (phone), or e-mail us if you have any questions that you are having difficulty with. We have left a visitor's welcome guide to the home and to the surrounding area for your reference and they cover the most frequently asked questions. This is our vacation home so when we are not here we rent it out. But our neighbors keep an eye on the home and we can have them take care of any situation that may arise. For any immediate questions, they will be willing to help out or just message, call, or e-mail us.

Once the reservation is made, we will send you a standard Vacation Rental Lease Agreement by Docusign for you to initial and sign electronically. It will automatically be returned by e-mail to us. It has all the rules and instructions that will be necessary for a pleasant stay at our home.

Thank you for your kind cooperation.

The Neighborhood
It is peaceful and avoids the tourist crowd of summer in the downtown area which is easily accessible. Watch the elks graze right by the house in the early mornings and late in the day. Safeway is the grocery store in town, which is a 10-15 minute drive. We shop at it and they have the best fuel rates for the car. There is an inexpensive Redbox in the Safeway grocery store where you can rent movies in DVD format. Hike Bear Lake, and Sprague Lake, and visit the Alluvial Fan waterfall in the Rocky Mountain National Park for spectacular photographs. Lily Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park is less than a 10-minute drive from our home. Drive up to Trail Ridge Pass in summer and have lunch near the skies. You can do a day trip starting in the morning all the way past Trail Ridge Pass to Grand Lake on the other side and you may spot some moose on the way. Shop and eat downtown at the many shops and eateries and picnic by the river in the park by the post office. Hike the trail around the lakes that you will see when coming into town-Lake Estes and along the river downtown. Do a boating tour on the lake. For those with young kids, use the children's playground at Stanley Park off Fish Creek Road. Enjoy the Spring season flowers. Get away from the heat of summer to cool mountain evenings needing a jacket. Go white water rafting through the many companies that advertise online or do some horseback riding in the park or right near our home. Putt-putt golf with the family in Estes Park by the river at 2 locations. Trout fish at Trout Haven in Estes Park and grill or broil the fish for dinner. Flyfish the Thompson River. Enjoy the spectacular 4th of July fireworks over Estes Lake without excessive large city traffic by lazing on your chair or picnic blanket at Stanley Park. There is the farmers market every Thursday in summer at the Estes Park Fairgrounds from 8 am-12:30 pm. There are seasonal arts and crafts and food festivals that you can look up online. They have free concerts downtown in the summer. Use the swimming pool at the Aquatic Center for a very small fee by Stanley Park. Watch the stars at night on the deck of the house or go to the observatory off Fish Creek Road by Stanley Park to see the far stars and planets. The Scottish/Irish Festival starts at the beginning of fall and enjoy the aspens turning gold and yellow in fall. That is when the elks start bugling and so always stay away from the elks at any time of the year as they are massive 500-700 lb wild animals. Winter brings the beautiful white snow that can be watched as Longs Peak, Mt. Meeker, and the Twin Sisters accumulate snow for the holiday season. The holiday lights twinkle in the snow. Cuddle up by the fireplace and tell stories to each other while eating popcorn and drinking hot cocoa. Go ice skating downtown or at the YMCA. Go sledding on the hills in the Rocky Mountain National Park with the family. You can snowshoe walk or cross-country ski. If you wish to do some downhill skiing then drive 45 minutes to the Boulder ski resort area. The ski resort in Nederland is 42 miles from our home. Estes Park is for all seasons and will create everlasting memories for you, your family, and your friends and we are happy to be part of your experience.

Getting around
You will need to rent or have a car to come to Estes Park and enjoy the Rocky Mountain National Park. Plan 90 minutes of drive time from DIA to our home in Estes Park. Fly into Denver International Airport (DIA), pick up your rental car, and drive the fastest route using the map quest instructions.

If you wish to come to a longer and more scenic route (2 hours) then go through Loveland from I-25 N exit 257/Hwy 34; turn left on Hwy 34 to Estes Park.

Using a GPS is the best way to get around.

Estes Park Shuttle service can bring you directly to our home from the airport for $75 per person one-way or $135 roundtrip per person and can be booked online or by calling them. You will however need a car to get around.

Other Things to Note
Our home is in a family community and therefore there can be NO partying allowed. Also, it is not designed or furnished for college students without their accompanying parents. You will be given a personal and a date & time-sensitive access code to enter the main front door that will work for the days that you rent the place. It automatically deactivates after you check out and every guest has a unique access code. We have a visitors' home guide, appliances guide, and Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park guide binder on the end table by the side door entrance for your perusal and guidance. Please leave it at the same place when leaving for other guests. Thank you in advance for cooperating with us!

Nicely updated home with plenty of space. Everything worked properly and chatting with the host was quick and easy. Has a wonderful view off the porch with a stream across the road adding ambient sounds. With such a large amount of space for gathering it is unfortunate that you can't get folks to the property with the limited parking restrictions by the City (there's also no other parking in the area). Unfortunately rowdy guests have put a lot of scrutiny on the owners by the neighbors so if you are willing to be a courteous guest you should have no issues.

The home is located outside the busy Estes Park corridor. The views from the deck are incredible. Wildlife abounds and the home is well stocked. It has everything you need and fit our group of 8 well. Only downside was the hot tube was off limits just before we came. Otherwise, pictures and description is accurate. Owners are easy to commicate with and very professional. Would stay here again when in the area!

The only issue we ran into was that the jacuzzi tub didn’t work, we had been looking forward to that. Otherwise it was a great place to stay, great communication, great view of the mountains! We had a wonderful time and were all comfortable in this house! It was a nice place to come back to after being out in the park exploring in the cold

My family stayed there just recently and arrived just before the area was bombarded with 36 inches of beautiful snow. The scenery around us was stunning to look at. RMNP was closed do to the snow, so everyone played games, hung out and relaxed. Nice place to be shut in at. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Great property, although I’m not happy with the amount of work we have to do before we leave. This place is expensive and we pay the cleaning fee for a reason. Apparently it’s to help the cleaning staff, cleaning staff is at work and we are on vacation. It’s worth thinking about having a cleaning staff do more of the cleaning and not put so much on the guest in the future. People have packing and kids to take care and don’t want to have to worry about washing dishes and stripping beds and setting thermostats before they leave.
