About this house rental

This lake house was built in 2007 so that I could be right on the water and fish any time I wanted to. The home is constructed with only stained or painted wood. It includes 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, an open kitchen, dining and living room with a gas log fireplace. The interior was professionally designed and decorated.

A screened in porch sets the stage for perfect outdoor dining and a deck both of which overlook the lake.

The unusual and original covered boat house has a boat lift and alarm system. The fish that congregate there in the water are my pets and love to be fed. Guests will see bass, crappie, carp, catfish and turtles.

Fishing charters are available upon request through Bucktail Guide Service. Please let me know if you are interested in setting up a fishing guide trip.

This lake house is in a quiet established neighborhood with many full time residents and a family owned diner at the top of the hill that serves the best breakfast around.

My home is in a cove and it not exposed to constant boat traffic. Swimming and floating off the dock are safe and relaxing.

We absolutely enjoyed every part of our stay! From the beautiful views, ample parking and comfy bed! We had a family gathering for my graduation and we were able to enjoy each other and accommodate all of us! We also had so much fun floating and swimming in the lake! I would highly recommend this place for a great getaway!!!

My wife and I stayed with our two adult sons and their wives for a relaxing getaway. The house was clean, comfortable, and exactly as pictured in the listing. Having the pontoon available to rent, and ready to go when we arrived was so convenient and gave us extra time to enjoy the lake. Preston was great! Communication was excellent and he went out of his way to accommodate us! We will definitely rent here again.

What a nice home on SUCH a great part of the lake! House was clean and had everything we needed. Owner was very helpful and super nice. Renting the boat went very well, fun and peaceful boat rides. What a nice few days of family time.

The house worked perfectly for our family - mom, dad, and 4 kids. Plenty of space for us to relax, and great to have a fully stocked kitchen to prepare meals and a screened in porch to avoid bugs while eating. We also rented Preston's pontoon boat for the week - absolutely worth it - we used it every day for tubing and fishing. Preston was extremely responsive to any questions we had leading up to the trip and very nice.

We loved this place. It was rustic but well appointed, the beds were comfortable, there was plenty of room for a group of 5 adults, and Preston was a very responsive and accommodating host. We were happy we opted to rent the pontoon boat and had a great stay. Would highly recommend it.

Our son was graduating from Clemson. Seven of us stayed at the house, and we hosted another dozen for a cookout after the graduation. The setting was beautiful and peaceful, and the house, screened porch, and deck accommodated us all easily. The kitchen was well equipped and the gas grill worked fine. We were all happy with the accommodations.

This visit was to rest and fellowship with my family. We spent four days (3 nights) at the lake house. Although it was super cold, I believe everyone enjoyed themselves. Preston has awesome neighbors!

Even more beautiful than the pictures. Definitely rent the pontoon boat and enjoy relaxing rides around the lake. Internet and WiFi allowed work checkin without any problems at all. Awesome place! Thank you for sharing!

We are 5 women spanning 2 generations 30 to 63. The home is lovely and clean and well layed out. Walk down to dock is a gentle slope easily managed by all. The lake was very high right now after many recent storm rain fronts in the last month so the step onto the deck walkway was a bit under water but the handyman immediately jumped into action and improved this high water situation dramatically. Wonderful service to be sure. we all felt safe and comfortable. Five stars for him too. The owner was very responsive as well. We rented the owners pontoon so that was so easy not having to rent from a marina with deadline for return. It was fun. They provide plenty of Dock chairs and floats and tubing gear etc. we highly recommend this property and if ever back to Lake Hartwell we would rent again.

It was very relaxing and quite. The facility was better than expected. Cleanliness was great overall. Some detailing good make it more impressive ex. cobwebs on fans and bugs in the lighting. Absolutely the best lake to be on in the area. Very easy access to the water. Would have used kayaks but water seemed to come in so was hesitate about letting my daughters go out. Breakfast restaurant nearby was nice as well. Would very much rent again.

House was well stocked with all you need to have an enjoyable stay at the lake. Preston was very responsive to all questions we had prior to our arrival and during our stay. His home was clean and roomy. We especially loved hanging out on the screened in porch. Access to the water was by a gentle sloping sidewalk. The yard was beautiful and fully landscaped. Preston provided a pontoon boat for an extra charge, which was well worth it. We took the boat out to enjoy the sights and sounds of lake living. Great location on quiet cove. We had a wonderful time!

My family stayed for a week in early April and it was wonderful. We rented Preston's boat, which was perfect for us, and although the water was freezing, my two teens rode the wakeboard anyway, and had a blast. I couldn't have asked for a better host and the house worked out perfectly. The teens set up downstairs and the adults were upstairs which gave everyone their own space. We would definitely stay there again.

We had such a great time at this property. Preston was courteous and helpful and quick to respond if there was a problem. We rented the boat for a few days and Preston took us for a spin to make sure we had a good handle on driving it and the boat stopped in the middle of the lake and wouldn’t start… turns out there was water in the gas so Preston got a friend to quickly pull us in and had the boat fixed that same day. House was lovely and in such a great spot on the lake. We will definitely be back to this one!!

This lake house was tucked away as a nice little oasis, and the house itself was spacious and had all the amenities we needed. I do wish the dock area had been a bit better maintained, but the ability to sit out by the water was lovely. The owner was very responsive when I messaged him for a few quick needs. I would definitely stay here again for a getaway with friends.
