About this villa rental
"Happy Place" was recently completely rebuilt top to bottom, including all new amenities and furnishings! Then in 2019 "Happy Place" invested in the "TESLA POWERWALL" Solar System, which creates clean, renewable, power from the sun and benefits our environment. This alternative to fossil fuels lessens our carbon footprint by reducing greenhouse gases.. Our contribution toward a favorable impact on the environment.
Located high up on the rocks, great ocean breezes are the norm but for the calm days every room is equipped with large ceiling fans. To ensure your comfort, a super quiet A/C is installed in the bedroom with its Queen Size Simmons bed and en-suite bathroom with dual vanity sinks and walk in glass enclosed shower. Enjoy Broadband internet with WIFI, full cable TV, incl. HBO, etc. and a flat screen "smart" TV. The open floor plan boasts dining and living areas and a full service kitchen with gas range, microwave, fridge, coffeemaker & toaster. The new custom made cabinets hold an array of pots, pans, dishes, utensils, basic spices and more, to facilitate cooking. There is a full capacity washer and dryer for your convenience.

Our stay was great. Will likely return to the Happy Place. Convenient to Cruz Bay. Views were great. The rental was very comfortable with many solid amenities. Loved the washer/dryer and the shower. This was our 11th trip to St. John and we always enjoy our stay, although the Island seemed quite busy this time.

We had a wonderful week at The Happy Place. Had everything we needed. View was wonderful and the two deck doors offered wonderful night and day views. The location was very convenient to town. We drove to beaches and hiking and utilized taxis or walking to hang out in Cruz Bay as parking limited. Our host was very communicative and gave us great tips for driving around, eating, etc. Neighborhood was great for walking as I took walks every morning before exploring for the day. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a great week at Happy Place! Our flight getting in was delayed but Becki was so helpful in guiding our way to the villa, despite many changes in our plans! The unit was clean, comfortable, and the kitchen was well-stocked. The Happy Place Guide that was sent to us in advance of our trip was filled with helfpul information and we referenced it regularly throughout our stay. We would definitely stay here again for our next trip to St. John!

We really enjoyed staying at Estate Bethany! In the past we’ve stayed on Coral Bay side which is pretty far from Cruz bay. This rental was SO close to all the great restaurants of Cruz Bay and is much closer to the main beaches. The villa is set up perfectly for a couple. We will definitely be back! Also, our contact Henry was very quick to respond and answered all questions we had. Awesome experience!

We enjoyed our week at Happy Place. The view is enjoyable both day and night, the unit was clean and very well equipped, and communication with Henry, the property manager, was excellent. The extensive online guide that we received well ahead of our visit was very helpful.
The driveway is narrow and steep, but that is the norm on the island for roads as well as driveways. If you are planning to drive on the island, you will have to deal with narrow and steep! Cell service on the island is spotty, but we had reception at the unit. The WiFi was adequate, but sometimes a bit sluggish, which might not be unusual for the island.
We would definitely stay again!

We really enjoyed our stay at Happy Place in St. John. The communication was great throughout the entire trip. When we arrived someone was waiting for us at the ferry to make sure we were situated with our rental car and to show us to the Happy Place. Just a short drive to Cruz Bay, it’s in the perfect location to enjoy the nightlife but to easily escape as well. The driveway was easy to park in and there was a perfect turn around just a few feet up the road which isn’t always the case on St John. It has a private entrance from the driveway making it feel a bit more secluded than other properties. This place is great for two people looking for a well equipped kitchen, a spacious bathroom, and breathtaking views. We were rained out for one day on the island and it’s one of those places where you don’t mind hanging around, cooking burgers on the porch, and having a couple cocktails. Another plus was the vacuum in the closet, after a lot of beach days we were able to clean our car before returning it. The entire place seemed to have everything we needed for a relaxing and easy getaway.

Everything about Happy Place was fantastic! The location, amenities, views, and serenity were exactly as described. Henry was great with communication, local tips, and taking care of our needs. Great location with easy access to town, and great view. Probably the most well appointed Kitchen we have ever stayed in. Communication with the manager was super easy, and super friendly. We have stayed in this area before, but this is the first time in this unit. We loved it. Don't anybody book October, we're headed back! Jeff & Bonnie.

Amazing View
The unit was clean and nicely decorated. The view from the balcony was spectacular! It was a bit unnerving driving up the narrow, steep hill to the property, but , as I said----the view was worth it. The kitchen had everything we needed and the bathroom shower was nice & big. The 2 cats who visited were a nice bonus!

The Perfect Getaway
We stayed at the “Happy Place” last summer for a week. It was the perfect spot. We were comfortable and had everything we needed. The views from the porch were top notch. We loved waking up to have our morning coffee on the porch. Henry, the property manager, was great and went above and beyond for us! It was truly an unforgettable trip!

Happy to Stay Here Anytime!
Overall it was a very pleasant stay at the Happy Place. Good location. View is awesome. Unit is very well equipped. Not as refined as some of the other places I've stayed on the Island but certainly very nice especially since it was less expensive than the others.
Highlights: View. Close to town. A/C in bedroom. Nice shower. Has pretty much everything you need. TV comes with premium channels. Kitties to feed if you like animals :)
Lowlights: Need a good beach umbrella (the chair mounted ones there don't work). Could use a new sofa (getting a bit tired) but not a huge deal. Could use a higher qualify mattress but I'm very picky so you may be fine with it. If you need A/C in the main room/kitchen then you will not be happy here - I was totally fine with it and actually enjoyed the fresh air / breezes.

We loved staying at My Happy Place. The view was just beautiful . The deck was very spacious and full of sun. We spent lots of time watching the boats and enjoying the sunshine on the deck. House was very accurately depicted in the pictures. Spacious and perfect for a couple. Kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. Very short drive to Cruz Bay, grocery store and beaches. We loved it and will be back!

Don’t rent without a car
Very well appointed little house at a very reasonable price. Would have preferred whole place to be air conditioned. Steep hills and driveway make having your own vehicle from the get-go a necessity.

Amazing Stay at Happy Place
My husband and I stayed 5 nights at the Happy Place. It was absolutely perfect, the photos are accurate and the villa is well equipped with everything we needed. The kitchen and bathroom are very updated and clean. We loved the porch every morning for our coffee and every evening for a sundowner. We had a small issue during our stay and the owner promptly and courteously addressed it. Check in was easy! We will stay here again if we are lucky enough to return!!!

The happiest of places
We LOVED our stay at a “Happy Place.” The unit had everything that you would need to make yourself comfortable in the USVI. The driveway up is a bit daunting, but is not abnormal on St.John. A happy place had a beautiful view and was clean, quiet and felt extremely private. The entire unit had been renovated and was beautiful The location was fantastic. It is minutes away from the car barge, the ferry, mongoose station, a gas station and a grocery store. I feel like we hit the jackpot with being able to book the place for our week’s stay. Henry was so great and gave us great advice on food, drinks, and hiking. I could not recommend this place enough!

Beautiful property overlooking the ocean. Enjoyed every morning and evening looking at the view. Clean. Has everything you need. Even left beach equipment and towels. You will need a 4 wheel drive vehicle to get up driveway.

Perfect Getaway for a couple
We had an amazing time staying at the Happy Place. The space is perfect for a couple. We enjoyed the balcony and view every morning and evening. The bed is extremely comfortable and the living space makes you feel at home. The location can't be beat. You are close to town and it is very easy to get around the island from here. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I stayed here and it was perfect for the 2 of us! Such a great touch having Henry the property manager meet us at the car barge dock and escort us to our place! His kindness during our stay was much appreciated!! The location was great! High up enough for a great view and super quiet but close enough to everything we needed! This was our first trip to Saint John but it definitely won’t be our last and we hope to stay here every time we come back! Thank you again for sharing your special place with us!

My husband and I spent a week here and enjoyed every single minute! Henry was very easy to communicate with and made checking in a breeze. The place is perfect for a couple and the view is amazing! We spent every day exploring or at the beach and then came back to beautiful views at sun down. We would definitely stay here again when we come back to St John! Highly recommended!

Beautiful condo
Our stay at Estate Bethany was very enjoyable. Corina met us at the ferry dock, brought us to our Jeep Rental company, and then escorted us to the condo. She was very thorough in explaining everything we needed to know.
The condo was well represented in the photos (the view is extraordinary) and best of all was exceptionally clean. The bed was very comfortable. I especially enjoyed the sugar birds that visited the balcony railing every day.
I would definitely recommend this property.

What an awesome view!
If you can brave the roads of St John, you will love this property. We rent with vrbo where ever we go. This was very nice. Very clean, well equipped with every thing you would need. St John has great beaches, the best snorkeling, great restaurants! But it also has pretty “hairy driving”.!! But thats how you see the whole island. We had a great stay.
