About this house rental

Located in Idaho, this attractive house for $179 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Custom Lindal home built in 2006, located on 18 pristine acres in the mountain residential community of Wilderness Ranch, just northeast of Boise off of Highway 21 on the way to historic Idaho City. Spectacular views of the entire river valley and unparalleled opportunities to see a wide variety of wildlife, including deer, elk, fox and black bears. A redwood deck running along the entire back of the house offers views of the surrounding wilderness from a variety of vantage points. Inside enjoy central air conditioning or a wood-burning fireplace (depending on the season, of course!), a 42-inch plasma television with basic DirecTV subscription, a VCR/DVD player, an Alexa smart speaker and a collection of board games. Wireless internet is available. The kitchen is out-fitted with top-of-the-line GE appliances, including a Monogram double oven, a Profile gas stove and a side-by-side refrigerator with ice and water in the door. It is also fully stocked with all the dishes, flatware, pots, pans, appliances and cooking utensils needed to prepare and serve any meal. A counter-high hard-wood dining table provides seating for up to six. Sleeping accommodation includes a cathedral ceiling master bedroom with access to the deck and a king-size Simmons ComforPedic bed. The master bath has a soaking bath tub with a large picture window providing a great view of the wilderness as well as a separate large shower made from rock slate. The second bedroom features two high-quality twin beds and a full-size futon bed with ensuite bathroom. The third bedroom doubles as an office, with a twin-size day bed. A light-weight twin-size roll-away bed is also available, allowing a total of seven to be accommodated comfortably. Wilderness Ranch has privately maintained dirt roads and the road leading to the house is narrow and steep in some places. While a two-wheel drive vehicle is fine for accessing the house most of the year, we highly recommend a four-wheel drive vehicle with studded snow tires and/or chains during the months when there is likely to be significant snow on the mountain (November through March). There can be significant climatic differences between Boise and Wilderness Ranch. Even when there is no snow on the ground in Boise, the roads at the ranch can be snow covered and icy. Also during periods of heavy rain (spring and fall), the roads can become muddy and difficult to transverse. Final note: The map may show Bogus Basin ski area as close-by, but those roads are not open in winter. To get to Bogus Basin, you need to drive into Boise and then back out. Trip takes about 90 minutes. Keywords: Lindal home, new, mountains, country, wilderness, quiet, private property, views, swimming, hiking, wildlife, boating,

If you are one that likes nature then this is your escape. The pictures really do not portray the reality of what your eyes see. The drive from Boise was very picturesque. Creeks and mountains lining the highway. The drive up the mountainside to the house gives you great views. We saw deer, wild turkey and elk on the way up and down the mountainside. But the views from the deck of the house are just awe inspiring. My wife and I caught ourselves just staring in all directions on the deck or from inside. We did visit during a snowstorm which made it even more amazing. What you see looks like something you would see on Instagram Reels. They do have a small room where you could office if needed. Has high end appliances with a large kitchen island. The bath tub looks out to the mountains. And being one of the last houses at the top of the mountain you will definitely have your peace and quiet. We will be making plans to go back in warm weather to compare the seasons.

This trip was planned for rest and relaxation. Perfect score! The views are amazing. The home was laid out so you can see the hills/mountains from every room. We didn’t turn on the TV once. Books, games, reading- thats it. We brought binoculars hoping to see some wildlife. Nice relaxing getaway!

This property was fantastic. We were attending a wedding in Nampa but we're kind of outdoorsy people and didn't want to stay in a hotel in the city. The house itself was very comfortable but the view is the real selling point. Just fantastic. One morning we watched the clouds move over the mountains at the same elevation as the house as some light rain came and went. We had a full-size 4x4, so the dirt road and the steep climb was not a concern, although I would be concerned under icy conditions. 4 wheel drive was not required to get to the property and I would think any normal car could make it just fine under normal conditions. Take a look at the property on Google maps before you go to familiarize yourself with the area and the entrance to the property. having looked at Google ahead of time, we didn't have any problems finding it.
