About this cabin rental
NEW gorgeous open floor plan barn cabin for rent. Beautiful Kickapoo Valley location with excellent fishing and wildlife right outside your door. A quiet place to relax yet close to many activities for the whole family. Bike Trails, Kickapoo River Canoeing & Kayaking. Spring brings the ephemerals. Wildflowers push their way through the leaves on the forest floor, and with them, the delicacies of spring—morel mushrooms, fiddlehead ferns, and ramps. Hundreds of bird species begin their migration up the Mississippi Flyway and through contiguous forests. Trout fishing begins and turkey hunters prowl the woods.
The Driftless Area is known for its trout streams. Class I streams like Timber Coulee that flows from Westby through Coon Valley towards Chaseburg, or the West Fork of the Kickapoo River, flowing through Bloomingdale and Avalanche, have the type of high quality waters to sustain natural populations of brook and brown trout.

A favorite activity of both visitors and residents is a leisurely drive through the countryside, along roads that wind through farmsteads, natural areas, and small towns. My friends and I all enjoyed our stay. The location was absolutely amazing. The cabin was charming, clean, and had everything we could possibly need. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy a variety of activities such as fishing, photography and stargazing! I’d highly recommend this property and I hope that I have the chance to visit again someday

We had a great stay at The Honey Barn. It was a hot day outside but comfortable and cool inside. Plenty of space to relax and unwind with your loved one. We would absolutely stay again!

This property is spectacular! Incredible location, fantastic host. The Honey Barn is located just a stone's throw from phenomenal fly fishing and everything else the Driftless has to offer. The property is well thought out and we will definitely be back!

My husband and I brought our dogs here for a long weekend. We absolutely loved our stay. The dogs loved the yard, and we could enjoy and watch from the porch.

We were visiting family in the area and this was a sweet spot for us to both start and end our day. Great communication if needed but really everything we needed was there. We plan to return in the future!

Perfect place for a family getaway in the Driftless. Quick drive to Viroqua and Westby. Beautiful property, very quiet, amazing view of the night sky. We spent the mornings on the covered deck watching the sun come up and listening to birds. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The host responded quickly to our questions and was very helpful! Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a home base to explore Vernon County!

Perfect den for the fisherman. Cross the road and fish the Kickapoo river. Get the croissant to the little bakery 1/2 mile away ( be early). we enjoy the A mishes riding their horses buggy ( our dogs were mads). Nice cabin very clean well located. We enjoy our stay and will come back.

Nice cabin. Stocked with everything you need. Firewood was even provided. Check in/out couldnt have been easier. Nice location to for access to all the driftless area has to offer.

We thought about visiting the several historic small towns nearby, but only managed Westby. The lure of the Honey Barn drew us back. We cooked, strolled the immaculate gorgeous grounds, enjoyed a campfire, and an exciting hike in the woods that involved following deer tracks. We sat on the porch rocking chairs and enjoyed the numerous Amish horses and carts passing by. And the scenery was perfectly lovely. A valley with a stream and wooded hills beyond. It evoked a Bob Ross painting. Our visit was comfortable and easy. The beds were AMAZING!

A great out of the way farm house. It looks great inside. It was very clean. Wifi and the TV worked great. The electric fireplace was a great touch. Very cool to see wild turkeys walk by. Close enough to wineries and downtown viroqua. Far enough to enjoy the patio free from any hustle or bustle. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others

The Honey Barn was everything we could have asked for and more. The peace and quiet of the area only broken by the gentle clip-clop of a horse drawn carriage had us thinking we were in a different country. Hiking with our two pups was terrific. The Honey Barn is warm and cozy with all the creature comforts one would need. The host is communicative and inviting. We would highly recommend this place for those that love to be outdoors, love nature, want a warm and cozy barn to experience, and enjoy peace and quiet. Just lovely! Thank you!

The property was fantastic. The house was nicely decorated and cozy. Enjoyed watching the Amish with their horses going by during the day and our dogs had plenty of places to roam around. Will definitely be back another time.

We enjoyed our stay at this location. Just the right size for us. Loved the rustic interior and yet all the modern conveniences you need. Quiet, peaceful. Enjoyed watching the Amish buggies go by. The location worked out great for travel to a couple of different parks for hiking. I would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely beautiful and exactly as described. Just close enough to town where finding a coffee shop/places to shop and eat wasn’t an issue, but far enough away where the stars were gorgeous and the property was peaceful and quiet. Would love to stay again in the future. Excellent experience, and communication from the host was above and beyond.

Bedding, linens, and towels were clean. Decorations and accessories were very dusty, dirty, and there were many cobwebs throughout the cabin. The lighting was very yellow in color and dim throughout. All amenities were well stocked and accessible.

The Honey Barn is a peaceful retreat in a gorgeous setting. The house is cozy and has everything you need, and the hosts are friendly, responsive, and attentive. We especially appreciated the porch and fire pit, where we could enjoy the sunset and listen to the owls hooting in the woods across the road. Our October drive on the county roads to Wildcat Mountain State Park was stunningly beautiful. The house is a bit closer to the road than we expected, but there's little traffic to disrupt the serenity, and we appreciated the Amish buggies trotting by. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Very beautiful area. We enjoyed the Amish traveling by the cabin. We took many scenic drives and stopped by the farm stands and orchards along the way. Traveled to trout streams throughout the area and had some good luck fishing. We enjoyed grilling at the cabin after a long day of sight seeing. We look forward to coming back to the area again. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

Property owner very responsive. If you like peace and quiet and beautiful view of bluffs in the valleys of the Driftless part of southern Wi. You will enjoy this house. The Amish bakery close by and the Amish going by daily was a plus.

Unfortunately the road is too busy and loud. The great room is wonderful. Needs a few repairs on the railing upstairs. And the shower should have grab bars.

We really enjoyed this quiet property. There was a constant flow of Amish horse and buggies down on the road which we really enjoyed watching. The stars are quite beautiful at night.

We had a wonderful relaxing stay! The surrounding countryside was so beautiful & quiet. A great place to visit & get away from all the hustle & bustle. The Honey Barn was very neat & clean and Rick was quick to respond when we accidentally locked ourselves out lol. We are hoping to return soon!

We loved our stay at the Honey House! It was well-equipped and clean, and Rick responded quickly to our messages. Our favorite things: the antiques and assortment of eclectic furniture and decor, the sound bar we could play our music on, the fire pit, the horses ciip-clopping by, and the peace and quiet. :)
