The place was clean and in a nice location. The lack of some kitchen amenities made it difficult to cook, which was one of my main reasons for picking this room. Over all it was a pleasant stay and the staff I talked to were kind and informative.
4.0 / 5.0
The room, the kitchen, and the bathroom were all clean with the exception that there were no towels, cooking pots, not as many utensils, bed covers, and the door at the bottom of the building entrance was staying open at night. Also, if you were to open the windows for some fresh air, there was no screen for protection. I feel like people who go there with kids is very dangerous. I think that the company should add some protection to the windows so kids or sometimes adults don't fall down and especially from a high distance since we stayed at the seal: upper. In rest, the place was great for spending some time at Lincoln City.
1.0 / 5.0
The door lock did not function properly, no screens in windows, no extra bedding for futon, paint was chipping, nothing looked like the pictures.

Very clean and cozy . I enjoyed it .

I'm not one to leave a bad review but when there is multiple things that can be easily fixed but are not, I have a problem. We had the slam our front door shut because the locking mechanism is being held together by cardboard, one of the other doors had a cardboard wedged into the side to keep it from moving, the floor was disgusting and needs to be moped in between visits, one of the plates where still dirty, there was no screen in the 3rd floor window, the couch had a massive rip in it, the coffee table had a piece of paper wedged under it to keep it from wobbling, and the cabinet above the microwave/stove is covered in grease. This one is more of a person problem but if your anything like me and like to be comfortable, the bed is rock fucking hard... we couldn't stay another night do to the fact we hardly slept the night before....

Where to begin? We rented at the Seal property upstairs. There were so many things wrong with this place I am not sure where to begin. The pictures may be of the same place, but they were taken MANY years ago because it does not look like that any longer. They did some upgrades inside, new cabinets, new bathroom etc. BUT…. The parking lot has light throughout EXCEPT by this building. The entrance isn’t marked and there aren’t any lights outside to see to get in. There is a lock code on the door, but it doesn’t work so you can just walk in. The hallway is dirty (spiderwebs, leaves, trash etc.).
When we walked into the room it is very dingy, but I thought it is ok we are just going to sleep here. Then it went from bad to worse. Most of the walls have separated from the ceiling. There were visible cracks all around the room and bedroom. The pictures don’t show the bedroom. That’s because it is AWFUL. The house is shaped like a triangle and the point is where the bedroom is. The bed looks like it was someone’s old bed they were getting rid of, and this place was the place it got dropped at. There were sheets and one blanket on the bed. There isn’t any place to put your suitcase but on the floor.
We heated up the dinner we brought and tried to relax. Things went from bad to worse. The house LEANS! I don’t me just a little it LEANS. By the time we finished eating I was sick to my stomach from leaning. We wound up booking another place and left this dump behind. I like Vacasa and will rent from them again but this property is one I will never go back to.

Loved the view from the window. Bed super comfortable. Having a place to cook was amazing. Being able to have my fur baby even more of a plus. Just wished the heater in the living space worked and maybe some how put the tv in the room. Very close drive to everything. About 5 mins to the beach or to a store. Would definitely stay again.

There's nothing good to say about this room! The bed was hard as a rock! The room totally slant's down to one side not pleased won't be booking again!

Not very big or nice.
We definitely were expecting something nicer from the photos. It's very small with cheap furniture and poorly done finishes. It's so on the 3rd floor with two flights of stairs (don't remember seeing that in the ad). We poured old drinks down the drain last night in the kitchen sink and there were ants all over this morning. The couch was very uncomfortable. There also wasn't a smoke detector in the living room but you could see the brackets and wiring for it.

Good price for an apartment with kitchen
Great location, nice walk to the beach and easy drive to outlets and restaurants. Is not a fancy place but is good for the price. My priority was to have a place to cook near the beach and it was perfect. The stairs are a challenge for senior people. The apartment is comfortable for 3 adults. The inside of the apartment was very cleaned (I was concerned when I saw the previous reviews but that was not my experience). All the appliances and the heating system were functional. No issues with security. The parking is small and at times can be difficult to find a parking space. The outdoor tables shown in the pictures belong to the complex, those are not close to the apartment.

It is worth the money to stay somewhere else! It is way worse than the pictures (the furniture and flooring are not as pictured). There is a nice view of the dumpster and highway. The walls are thin and you will hear your neighbors all night. If you expect to sleep on the futon, don't. It squeaks so bad that any little movement can be heard in the next room. If you are an optimist with little money, you can stay here and pretend your are camping and a bad campground. If you want the full list of what was wrong with this place, keep reading.
Safety Issues:
The entrance door that was supposed to be locked with a code for entrance was duct taped open so that the door could not lock and was left wide open for anyone to enter.
The fire alarm in the main room was missing with wires dangling from the ceilings.
Maintenance & Cleanliness Issues:
There was broken furniture - mattress, couch, chair, etc. - discarded and piled up at the entrance to the building.
The hallway leading to the apartment was very dirty - carpet and walls dirty.
There was hair in the bathroom sink and bathtub upon arrival.
I get that spiders are common to find, but there is a very cozy spider living in the bathroom with cobwebs that have not been cleaned in the bathroom light.
There was also hair on the "clean sheets" provided for the futon bed.
The futon was provided with sheets and two pillow cases but no pillows or blanket.
The only blanket was a very thin blanket on the main bed.
The fan switch in the bathroom was missing the knob so that it could not be used.
The futon was so squeaky that my daughter kept getting woken up in the other room with any little movement I made (and I'm not a big person) and I could not sleep through it either.
The cupboard handle under the kitchen sink was broken.
The chairs in the living area are stained.
The window ledges were dirty with coffee cup rings and dead bugs.
The walls and doors were all scuffed and dirty (this doesn't come through very clearly on my pictures).
Ripped paper towel was dangling from a lamp that looks like was an attempt to dust but was still dirty.
There was no skillet for which to cook a simple meal. We had to change our meal plans and buy more food.
There were no hot pads for retrieving anything from the oven.
There was leftover remnants of someone's dinner in the oven.
The internet kept cutting out to the point that my daughter had to miss her class that we had counted on being able to do in the room.
There is a sign hanging in the living room with directions about a fireplace. There is not fireplace in the room.
The neighbors below us were coughing so loudly all night that I thought they might need an ambulance and their child started screaming at 4 am. The second night, their dog started whining in the early morning and they finally took it out and left dog droppings by the front entrance of the building.
The office that was promised to have staff and help with issues was never there.
I called the number for help in the morning and was told that a solution would be made within an hour. I called back three more times throughout the day and there was never any updates or changes to our request for a different unit or a refund.

Good value.
It had a full kitchen, nice sized bathroom and a comfy bed.

Not what’s advertised
My partner and I left after seeing the inside of this property. The photos and description are an illusion, from a falsely advertised bed, to the literal flooring, to the torn up walls and baseboards. Clumped dog hair on old carpet characterize the entrance. We were given the wrong key code upon arrival and the onsite manager had a disconnected phone line. Vacasa, who owns the property, took multiple days to get back to us, but did refund us within a week. Their main office staff in Portland were kind and extremely helpful. I’ve stayed at Vacasa owned listings before, and they’re been great. I’m not sure how the company ended up with this property in the condition it’s in.

Beautiful place, but I believe the cleaning staff needs educated on cleanliness. Especially during a pandemic it would be greatly important!

Loved the towels and sheets. Very comfortable place to stay. Did not find the wine glasses though, so I brought the bottle home instead. Will stay here again. Good general location in the city.

Cozy, Comfortable, intimate...
It was very Nice, good view, and even tho it's just up 2 flights of stairs, it had a well lit simple layout.
The fridge is very small so pack lightly, and some of the pots and pans have seen better days. If you like cardio than this place is awesome! There are quite a few stairs and a few hills to get to the beach.
All in all we had a good time!

The original spot (Seal-Upper) was bad. But moved to a house .was amazing
We were not happy with our original booking. The entirr place is doenhill and not centered. I was very upset and crying as it was my anniversary weekend.. But..when i spike with Lacey at the front desk, she went above and beyomd to make us happy. Found us another property that was absolutley AMAZING. Lacey was so kind and dis everything in her power to help makenthings better as it seemed like things kept happening one after the othet with keys ot being in the lock boxes at either location. Lacey wqs quick to fix everything. I want Lacry to know she was amazing help and i appreciate EVERYTHING she did for us. We will most definetly be coming back to stay at the beach house. Please let Lacey know she helped make a very hard siuation so much better just by being kind and trying her best to make us happy.

Great for the price. Helpful office management and staff.
Place was pretty clean.Toilet clogged but we unclogged our selves. No air conditioning. Need to open windows. Kitchen amenities could be a little better. Close to beach was nice but a little trek.

Don't let the picture fool you!
Such a dissapointment. First thing you notice is the floor slants and you feel disoriented. The dorm fridge is small and the kitchen is not well stocked. If you want to cook, this is not the place for you. It was kind of dirty. There was a stain on the comforter and when we walked barefoot, our feet got filthy. The wear and tear of this place shows. On the up side... the walk to the beach was enjoyable and on a clear day you could see the ocean from the front window.

Not Reccomended
There parking lot is very small and parking places are very crowded...We didnt have a parking spot and had to park across the hwy at a cinema..Our neighbors downstairs were loud up until 2am and were smoking weed, which came right up into the room were the kids were sleeping..We had to close the window due to this..Then it got very hot and no A/C, I called the 1888 number but they did nothing to solve this...I demanded a refund because we spent our whole vacation upset but she said "we try to make things right" well, nothing was done so how is this trying to make it right? The room was nice and clean, just service here was not good.

This one was a looser
The room smelled like a dirty fish tank and wet dog. The wood floor was sticky and the tile floor in the bathroom was disgustingly dirty. So dirty that I never took my shoes off while we were in the room. There were cobb webs in the corners and dirt and dust on the baseboards. The kitchen table had no chairs, the tv was wobbly and crooked, we were thankful it worked. When I called the phone number on my email and left a message, my call never got returned.

Hollow wooden steps/ you can hear your neighbors late night conversations.

Slanted 3 story, apartment
You have to walk up 3 flights of steps to get to a slanted apartment, there is no view and you have to walk a good 4 or 5 blocks to get to the beach. The bed you have to sleep the opposite way or your feet will be hirer then your head. If the power goes out dont worry it will be turned back on within the hour. There's no chairs to sit on at the table, so that romantic dinner forget about it.Also, make sure to slide the futon which isn't comfortable towards the door if you want the heat on because you don't want to start a fire, and the heater is behind the futon. It doesn't work very well but if you have something that can prop the bedroom door open and turn the heat on in there then eventually the place will warm up. Oh, and the pots and pans hopefully who ever is there before you has not burnt them. I don't know how ofter they switch them out but our pot and skillet was scorched on the bottom. Good luck on your stay, I won't be returning.
