Perfect Beach House location!! This unit in Ocean Beach Cottages is a Fantastic luxurious remodeled, downstairs unit with awesome views of the beach, the pier and sunsets. This unit includes a large private front yard and a private back patio. Walk across the street to the beach! Hear the waves crash and watch the pelicans fly over the pier.
Enjoy the relaxed Ocean Beach lifestyle in this excellent location close to all. Once you get here all is within walking distance! Relax in the front yard that sits above the street level so you have nice views of the sand, waves, pier and the sunset. We are 10 min from the airport, an easy uber or lyft ride away.
These units have been completely remodeled. Luxurious 2-bedrooms with large wood planked floors features a large living room with views, a gas fireplace and wall mounted TV and full cable TV, WIFI. There are french doors open to the front yard with amazing views of the ocean, relax and watch the waves crash on the beach. This is the perfect spot to have your dinner at the outside table and watch the sunset.
The dining room has views to the pier and a large table with the breakfast bar that opens to the kitchen. The kitchen has quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances. There is a full stocked kitchen with pots, pans, dishes and more. There is a toaster, blender and coffee maker. The kitchen is big enough to make a Thanksgiving dinner!
The master bedroom suite has a king size bed, a full bathroom with tub and a private patio as well as a wall mounted TV. The 2nd bedroom features a queen sized bed. All decorated in an upscale beach theme. There is a queen size pull out sofa in the living room. The 2nd bathroom is in the hall and has a walk in shower.
This unit has a private gas BBQ, a large outdoor table, washer and dryer, and all you need for the beach, beach towels, boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrella and sand toys for your use.
Perfect location next to the best beach area for swimming, boogie boarding and surfing, sandcastle building, and tide pools. Check out the tide pools under the pier at low tide, see the sea anemones, crabs and other sea life.
We are walking distance to the main street Newport Ave. with all the restaurants, bars, and shopping. There are lots of new breweries and restaurants with rooftop decks.
Close to the longest concrete pier in Southern California and great tide pools. The pier has great fishing and a nice cafe with stunning views.

For the most part, we really enjoyed our stay. The house is great for a family or group of friends. The location was central to everything we wanted to do, we were within walking distance of the beach, and the yard on the downstairs units was great for hanging out. The unit also came with beach toys for our use.
The biggest drawback was that we could not get ahold of the property manager. She sent me messages about the check in process but when I reached back out with question about check in and parking, we never heard back from her. The handle in the master bath was also broken but I wasn’t able to report it to her since she didn’t respond to any of my other messages.
Still overall mostly pleasant experience though.

We had a great stay, house was clean and fully stocked. It was great to walk to the beach every day and it was very centrally located to everything. Only issue to call out was the airport noise. It was much louder than expected, maybe bc it was a holiday weekend or maybe bc it was foggy mornings and evenings but it was loud on Sunday and Monday, Tues was much quieter. Parking was fine to share a spot except the last night, Tues. The other car had to get out early for the airport so I couldn’t park there and it was street cleaning day Wed morning so we struggled for a spot

The condo was great, clean, and well appointed. However the description of Ocean Beach was not accurate. The beach was dirty with trash and urine smells. Homeless people on every corner wherever you walked. Wednesday night they said there was a Farmers market with music. All it was was a 1969 Woodstock party on the beach. People openly smoking weed and doing other drugs. I've live in California my entire life and never have seen a dirtier beach and unwelcome transients everywhere. Will never go back. Very embarrassing bringing friends from out of town to see this mess.

Great location and lovely outdoor areas
Great location can walk to beach, pier, bars and restaurants, coffee houses, shopping, and party stores. We really enjoyed the front yard nice table and chairs to sit at.
My grandchildren and the adult family members enjoyed being outdoors here.
Great Farmers Market on Wednesday.
Beds were very comfortable.
Showers worked well.
Only suggestion is to update the furniture in living area and the kitchen stools.

Very very dirty apartment
I was surprised how dirty the apartment was and the host did not even bother to respond when I messaged her about it. All beds had stains and bunch of hair in it. Rugs and floors still dirty with crumbs. Pillows, couch, and chairs are covered in stains and smells disgusting. Back gate door been broken the entire time. Only things we liked was how easy was check in and how close it was to the beach. Overall i wouldnt book this place again.

Friends Getaway
My friends and I were looking to get away and relax for a few days, and this Cottage was perfect! Communications with the host were easy. The check in process was seamless. The Cottage was clean and big enough to comfortably sleep 5 adults. The location was great! Ocean views from the windows, a quick walk to the beach and to downtown Ocean Beach, a short drive to Pacific Beach or Downtown San Diego, and easy access to the airport. My only wish is that we stayed longer! I hope everyone staying here enjoys this Cottage as much as we did.

We had a great stay and loved the extremely comfy beds as well as the view. We didn’t hear any of the other three neighbors while staying and street parking wasn’t easy but it was manageable. Amazing amazing location.

Parking problem
Loved the property and it’s proximity to the beach. Other tenants got reserved parking space, we did not. Parking was a nightmare as it was on the street and many visitors to the beach park there as well. It’s also under an airport approach so it could be quite noisy. But we got used to that. I would return again but would insist on a parking space.

Gorgeous Beach Cottage💙
We had the BEST time staying here all week! Our daughter and her friends had space to roam the beach and adjacent park, the sound of the waves lulls you to sleep you’re so close. The lifeguards are on point which is great because the waves can get rough. The cottage is beautiful and contemporary, clean and well-stocked. The street parking wasn’t an issue for us because we loved walking around Ocean Beach! Kira was an amazing host and we will definitely be coming back!!

Perfect Location
This was a great place for my husband, myself, our adult daughter and her 22 month old. Very Clean and spacious, right next to the beach, tide pools, and local community stores, restaurants, farmers market and quaint neighborhood. It had a high chair, and a pak and play for our grand daughter to sleep in. We enjoyed our time there.

After reading the reviews we liked this option because it was close to the beach. Great local shops for finding treasures. Nice chill people for the most part. But a lot of crazies too. It’s not La Jolla that’s for sure Where it got extremely frustrating and time consuming was parking or lack there of This is where you have to wait outside and illegally park until you see someone coming out of a spot and then run back to your car in hopes someone else won’t get said spot It was so frustrating when this building has parking for other units but apparently not the one rented, Completely stupid and needs to be addressed because it really made it difficult to come back and relax after going and seeing the sights. In addition a good cleaning would have also been nice we arrived to old chicken in the refrigerator door and spaghetti sauce smeared on The cabinet inside the door so the housekeeping may have missed it. I’m sure they have no issues renting this based on the location which was awesome and because the house is blue it is a beacon to see where you are headed when coming from the beach. But please fix the parking issue. Because of it, our family will not return.

Vacation by the sea
Very comfortable and lovely condo close to the beach. but bbq was old and junky and there wasn’t any propane so we weren’t able to bbq our last evening. The Security gate was also broken. Easy walk to Newport and the dog beach was also close. Loved watching all the surfers. Sunset cliffs very fun

Great place close to the beach.
We all enjoyed our stay at the blue house. Our two teen sons had a great time. There was room for all of us and the house is very clean and felt safe. The other neighbors were very nice and helpful and quiet. We all loved the very close proximity to the beach and the boys were in the ocean every day. The easiest access to the beach we've had in San Diego so far. The only downside is probably already known to anyone going to Ocean beach - yes it's under a flight path and yes the planes do start at 6:00 or 6:30 am each day. Depending on the wind it can be loud but it didn't ruin our stay as we're all early risers but worth noting. It was pretty quiet as far as people for most of the week - the weekends and Wednesday with the market get busy. Ocean beach is fun and it would be great if the city would power spray the main streets like Newport as they did need a cleaning. We stayed to the Main Street across from the beach which has a really fantastic fish taco restaurant with sushi and other fresh fish options - a great place to watch the sunset. There's another pretty good restaurant in that location as well. Each am we went to the Newbreak cafe for coffee and a smoothie and some mornings we took the short drive to La Jolla beach for coffee etc. and went to explore beaches. Overall a great spring break with lots to do!

Beautiful break from the desert!
We wanted a place that was close to the beach and within walking distance of shops and restaurants. This was the place! We found it very easy and was lucky to find parking very close to the house. There is not a lot of available parking, so we didn't take the opportunity to explore the town more than we could do on foot, as we did not want to risk losing our parking spot. The house was clean and well stocked for our needs and literally just a few steps away from the beach. We had a bottom unit, so we were able to enjoy the ocean from the yard. The only downfall to the location, is that it is in the flight path of the airport so don't plan to sleep in as the planes begin taking off for the day at 7am sharp! The upside is that because it is so close to the airport, it is just a 10 minute Uber drive away. There is a grocery store and a Target within walking distance for those last minute needs too. I would definitely book here again!

Everything in the listing is 100% accurate. The whole place was very clean, stocked with everything you need, and perfect for a beach getaway. The location has everything you need all within walking distance and the beach was perfect. The only downside was street parking is very limited so try to get in early or just walk/use ride share services. Communication with the host was seamless and we couldn’t have picked a better place.
