About this house rental

The John Collins family would like to invite you to our (licensed short term rental) 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath home. Owner-operated for affordability, and located next to the spectacularly scenic Wasatch Mountains, ski resorts and city amenities. The home can be rented on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. 8 beds total. 1 queen and 2 single in master bedroom. 2nd bedroom 2 queen beds. 3rd. bedroom has 1 double and 1 single bed. 4th bedroom in basement has 1 double bed. Each bedroom has small TV with Stick. Ping pong table located in unfinished basement. Tile throughout kitchen area and hall. Gas stove. Cathedral ceilings in living room and master bedroom. Hot tub on deck with with deer and elk on the hill at times. Mountain views from master bedroom. At Christmas time the house is decorated and with a 9 foot tree. Excellent snow removal plan. In the summer the hot tub heat is off from June till mid October. Local park next door. 2750 sq..ft.

A group of friends were volunteering at a nearby conference. This house provided just what we needed! It is an older home, but was clean and comfortable, with lots of seating in the livingroom. The kitchen was well stocked (except for spices like salt and pepper), with a variety of dishes and pans, and we loved being able to make smoothies in the morning with a very nice Ninja blender! Just a sidenote, the fourth bedroom is in an unfinished basement, but the bedroom itself was finished and comfortable. The other bedrooms were upstairs and were great for what we needed. John was nice, and was responsive to our questions and requests. We would stay here again.

Great base for a week of mountain biking in the Salt Lake City area. House is well equipped including stuff you often have to buy on arrival. Rooms are comfy and spacious especially the master on the front. Garage a bonus for keeping bikes and equipment in.

We enjoyed the house and all the bedrooms. The kitchen had all the cooking tools but if you plan to do any cooking, bring anything that you want to add to your food such as spices, oil, sugar or coffee. I know that I'm a clean freak but when you have something poking you through the sheets and find someone else's toenail, that is disgusting. We could have written our names in the dust in the living room. I would not invite someone to stay in our home if it was that dirty.

Place is as described. A little dated. But that doesn’t take away from anything. Large living room was great for everybody to relax. Well stocked kitchen. The only thing that wasn’t great, as others have said is the amount of light in the master bedroom doesn’t allow sleeping in to long. Otherwise great place, wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Great host communication.

A+++ our stay was perfect at this place. I would have given 5 stars but there were two things that need improvement… 1. Put some sort of curtains up in the master bedroom. The morning light coming thru the half circle window is bright and woke us up daily. 2. The bathrooms need new door knobs, not a single bathroom door would latch/lock properly. Other than those two things this place really was perfect.

6 of us stayed very comfortably. Kitchen was well stocked with grocery store very close. Living room had great seating to visit. Only issues-the crockpot didn’t work, and a few of the beds were noisy.

Place was very nice, ping pong table and hot tub a plus!! Place very clean. Host easy to communicate with. A couple of board games or card games would have been nice for night time activity!! Just a Heads up trash cans in garage can be smelly not sure if a rinse would help with that. We would of done it but didn’t find a hose to help.

We had 3 great days of skiing the mountains in the surrounding area. The property is in a great location and we enjoyed the ping pong and hot tub after skiing. Would stay again.

My sister's family and mine had a great time. We played darts and watched a movie. We were going to Utah to have Thanksgiving with family at another house. This place worked out for all of us to sleep in. Thank you!

Very clean. We went for a funeral and this worked just great. If you hike or ski this location is perfect. I missed that 3 bedrooms were on the 2nd floor and the 4th was in the basement. Lots of stairs. There were a lot of beds in all rooms. You could have a big family with you.

Perfect location for skiing Snowbird, Alta, Brighton, and Solitude. Right at mouth of canyon, short drive to any of these resorts. Plenty of room for everyone.

Great place to stay. However, some buddies and I were surprised to see the property manager stop by the house 2x unannounced to supposedly “put chemicals in the hot tub.” He was very protective with his hot tub and said that we broke the cover when it was in fact held together by duct tape and pvc pipe that he made himself. Nice guy just thought he was being a bit over protective of the property since we are some young guys in our 20s renting from him.

The property was simple, clean and perfect for our two families. The layout is great; we loved the ping pong table and dart board; and the location is perfect for access to Alta/Snowbird and Brighton/Solitude.

John is friendly, helpful and professional. His property is as advertised and is well-equipped to nicely accommodate our group of fellas. The garage is ideal for ski / snowboard storage, the living room is perfect for watching movies / sports after a day on the mountains, there are plenty of beds, the kitchen provided all the tools we needed to make 4 dinners that week, the washer / dryer came in handy with socks / baselayers (it was very warm on the mountain during our stay) and the location to Snowbird, Brighton and Solitude provided easy access whether by bus or by car. Plus Lyft / Uber arrived at our location fairly quickly. We plan to revisit Utah / SLC again and we will be reaching back out to John. Definitely recommend this property.

I highly recommend this unit as a great location to access the ski areas of both the Little Cottonwood and Big Cottonwood canyons. The unit is located near several restaurants and the grocery store is about 1/2 mile away. The unit was very clean the beds comfortable and the water in the showers was hot. The Hot Tub on the deck was an added bonus after a big day on the mountain. It rain/sleet/snowed in the evenings several nights so it was nice to have a garage that fit two cars. We'll rent it again the next time we ski Utah.

This house is perfectly located for the majority of outdoor activities, especially skiing. The grocery store is a half mile away and easily walkable. Big bedrooms, nice sized living room with stone fireplace, washer and dryer, basically everything you need for a lovely home away from home. The owner contacted us to ensure we were able to get into the house. A 4 person hot tub on the deck was perfect after a day of skiing. The house is located away from the road and is extremely quiet. Included is a pingpong table and dart board on the lower level. Please consider this house for your next ski destination. You will not be disappointed!

John's Condo is a large cozy place to stay during a visit to Salt Lake City. The hot tub is a great added bonus to be able to enjoy after a long day on the slopes. Would recommend to stay here again
