Playa Lodging is an incredible beach rental less than a quarter-mile away from the beach! Playa Lodging is the height of luxury with all the comforts of home. This listing is for the two-bedroom. We also have a one-bedroom available. Playa Lodging is unique because not only is it the height of luxury, but it is a stone's throw away from the beach. Playa has been furnished with everything that you need to feel comfortable: wireless internet, all the standard kitchen appliances, Apple TV, surround sound, and much more. No corners have been cut on this vacation rental! For those who love adventure, Carpinteria is the perfect place to surf, hike, fish, sail, and much more. For those who prefer to relax, great shopping and dining are minutes away. Also, Santa Barbara is a ten-minute drive away. The unit is less than a quarter-mile from the beach and a 10-minute drive from Santa Barbara. Carpinteria has a charming small-town feel to it, with surfing, hiking, fishing, sailing, and great shopping and dining less than 5 minutes' walk away. You can get to Carpinteria via the Metrolink. There is a stop right in town. You won't even need your car!

We had a great stay in this wonderful rental. Very comfortable and updated, this property has everything you could ever need for a beach vacation. The outdoor fire pit was an evening favorite. And the property manager went above and beyond to take care of us without even asking!

Playa Two Bedroom is a wonderful property: updated, immaculate, perfect location, well appointed and beautifully decorated/landscaped! Host is highly responsive & an excellent communicator! Beautiful upscale property within walking distance to the beach and ocean. This property spared no expense. Everything is upgraded from the appliances to the dishes. We highly recommend this property as one of the very best in Carpentaria.

Absolutely loved our stay here - the property fantastically situated a stones throw from the beach and walkable to every restaurant in town. The unit was fresh, clean and designed with superb attention to detail. Could not have asked for a better getaway in one of our favorite beach towns along the Cal coast.

Great weekend getaway
Loved this condo on Linden Ave in Carpinteria just a few blocks from the beach and walking distance to great nearby restaurants. The finishes were new and great quality, and the beds super comfy. I look forward to returning!

The location was fantastic! A 1 minute walk to the beach in a friendly community. The beds were so comfy and the kitchen had everything you needed. The appliances were all high end!! This was such an amazing place! From the minute we arrived we enjoyed the outside patio with gas grill and fire pit. The place was warm and welcoming. We had everything we needed and more. A great weekend getaway location! We can’t wait to go back. Our toddler felt right at home with the cozy setting. The park , restaurant, brewery and beach being incredibly close was a plus. My husband and I loved the cozy firepit at the front patio for an evening drink and early morning coffee!

Beat place I’ve ever stayed

LINDA the property manager was awesome. If we needed something, she was there asap. The place was immaculate. The beach was steps away. My kids loved every minute. We will be back for sure. We can't wait!!!

Beautiful Home!
Perfect 2 bedroom close to beach. Clean, updated, comfortable. Property management was great when we needed extra shampoo. Fire pit was great for toasting marshmallows. So close to the beach! Love this place.

Nice location. A short walk to the beach or to the downtown shops and restaurants. Had something missing in the room and the manager showed up within 10 minutes with a replacement.

Amazing location and property
We aren't new to Carp but it was our first time staying in this property and it was fantastic. Everything was brand new and clean and the check in process was extremely easy. The property is located about a block from the beach and perfectly situated to walk to all of the great little spots in town. The property manager was very responsive and we look forward to staying here again.

Wonderful place to relax and enjoy Carpinteria, and some things to consider
Overall, the week my friend and I spent in the Playa lodgings was wonderful. So much so, it was hard to head home. Linda came in an instant when we had a question and was unfailingly pleasant. The unit is nicely fitted out and was very clean. Our end unit had a small back porch along with the front patio, and we used both. The location within a block of the beach couldn't be better; my friend got up early and ran the beach each morning, and I headed down every late afternoon to swim and read and people watch until sunset.
We did have some minor issues, however, and I want to alert folks to a few things: 1) The unit seems designed for tall people. I'm short (5'2") and have a replaced knee that is stiff. The baths are elegant, but the tub in the master bath is way too deep for anyone short with knee or hip problems to easily climb in and out. I switched bathrooms with my friend and even she, who is a few inches taller, had difficult getting out of the tub. The shower in the other bathroom was perfect for me in terms of mobility. The door hook, however, is so high that even throwing my towel up sometimes failed to catch it. It would be helpful to have a lower hook placed on the wall, or a suction hook placed in the shower. 2). The cabinets in the lovely kitchen are so high on the walls that I could only reach the bottom shelf. It would be nice if the unit(s) had one of those folding steps tools so getting things into and out of cabinets was easier. 3). The layout of the bedrooms seems designed for a couple and 1-2 children--which I'm sure is a more common configuration--not for two adults traveling together who are not a couple. My friend hit her head three times on the top bunk as she got into/out of bed; we had to pad the bed railing with beach towels. If the bunks will be kept (and kids surely enjoy them and fight over who gets which), it might be good to get the type of bunk bed set-up that allows the bunks to be separated into two twin beds when adults are using that room. While the room is quite small, I think beds set perpendicular to each another would work if only one adult was to be in the room, or the second bed/bunk could be temporarily put in the storage shed. In spite of these issues, we loved our time, it was difficult to leave, and I keep wishing I were still there. :-)

Perfect rental
What a perfect condo; spotless, comfortable, perfect location, everything is within biking/walking distance , no need to even bring a car just take the train which drops off literally a block away. Linda the property manager is simply perfect; so good at her job. Linda is on the spot with any issues; she makes you feel like an old friend.
I recommend this location highly; we will definitely return....
