About this house rental
Welcome home to beautiful Rotonda West! Concerning the recent storm damage from Hurricane Ian. There is a long road ahead for our area to recover. But Southwestern Florida needs the support of visitors to our area. We make no guarantee that your best fishing area, challenging golf course, beautiful sandy beaches, or favorite eatery will be the same for a while but we will get there.
We were very fortunate in our neighborhood and with our own home we experienced roof damage and lanai screens needed to be replaced. These repairs are currently underway.
Prior to the recent storms we had made some improvements to our outside lanai area with adding to our patio furniture. We have a glass top rattan table with seating for 8.
For those who love to soak up the Florida sun we have 5 Chaise Lounge Chairs and have recently added a Rattan Love Seat.
Additional chairs available for the deck off of the lanai and a small grassy area by the canal for additional sun bathing opportunities.
To help to ensure a nice temperature for the use of your private pool. We have added a pool heater. This way you can still have a comfortable dip in the pool for Fall and most of the winter months. With the rising cost of electricity there is an additional fee to our guest to heat our pool. Especially during the chilly months of January-April. With the Pool Heater you can brag to your friends up North on those days you choose to swim during the Winter Months.
Inside, we have added a 6 piece leather sectional with 3 electric recliners. Perfect for watching tv, reading a book, or taking a nap. If you prefer to just have some nice conversation, there is also another sitting area with a comfortable leather couch, oversized chair, and an additional couch.
By choosing to stay at our Vacation Home you are close to Gulf beaches, but you really don’t have to go anywhere … relax on the lanai by the pool, take a walk or bike ride around Parade Circle, or spend the day golfing in your own community. At the end of the day, relax and enjoy the spectacular sunset. This beautiful, tranquil Rotonda West home has 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, enclosed lanai, pool with removable safety fencing. Close to shopping, dining and other Gulf coast sites. In an amazing family friendly neighborhood.
We are also Pet Friendly and will consider Furry Members of your Family. We will only consider Dogs under 25 lbs. Hypoallergenic.
Vacationing with another family, our home will Give you Opportunities and Common Areas to Enjoy Time Together or Privacy when desired. When making the choice to dine in we have 2 tables with chairs inside or outside if you prefer to enjoy the view of the canal. If your a foodie we have recently added a Travel Friendly Notebook with some amazing local restaurants. This also contains important information like WiFi connection, garbage collection, lawn and pool services.
There is WiFi and cable available with all 3 tv's. 1 tv is located in the Main Family Living Room Area, 2nd tv is in the master bedroom, and the 3rd tv you will find in the guest bedroom off to the right of the kitchen area. The TV in the Masterbedroom is a Smart TV.
If you are planning a trip to the beach, we are located within 10 miles from our home or 20-25 minutes (depending on traffic) by vehicle. There are some wonderful Gulf Coast Beaches...Englewood, Stump Pass Beach, Middle Beach (also known as blind pass), and Manasota Key often uncrowded with excellent facilities and parking available. But during the peak season January-April get there early. No need to drag beach umbrellas, chairs, canoes or kyaks rentals are often available at the beach. Embark on an eco-tour of Lemon Bay. You'll often see dolphins, manatees, and beautiful birds.
For our guest we also have 2 adult bikes and one kid bike available. It is the responsibility of our guest on the maintenance of the bikes including the inflation of the tires and brakes. Please also keep in mind you are responsible for your own safety.
Plenty of golf and fishing is available in and around our community.
Communication is key we want your vacation and stay to be a great experience. For this reason we take great pride in addressing any questions or issues you might have prior or during your stay. We do not have a land line available but we do have WiFi connection for your cell phones.
Our home is located between Sarasota and Naples. Both areas including Venice are great places to visit for a day trip.

We stayed a month and had a wonderful time. The house, pool, canal and area were perfect. Beaches are close and nice. We found lots of shark teeth. We did 2 dolphin tours and saw lots of dolphin. We will be back!!

Beautiful home
Home is in a nice and safe area. Beaches were pretty close to the home . We enjoyed the swimming pool at the home. All the amenities you need. Stores are close to the home. Owners were very attentive and reached out to us when we first arrived to make sure everything is fine in the home. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice house
In general our stay was fine. We were disappointed that the pool was not heated between our arrival on 4/1 and 4/26. Although the daytime temps were pleasant the nights were cool and breezy so the pool was not usable.
I did not feel the kitchen was as well outfitted as most of our other rentals. I had to buy a pitcher, baking dishes, large bowels. These things are usually available.
All in all the trip was good and the house was quite nice.

Two Week Stay for the holidays
This home was perfect for our family. The park was within walking distance and the pool was perfect for entertaining the grand baby.

Nice Property but not Listed Accurately
The property is very nice and located in family friendly area. However, the property owner needs to update her information about the property and should make needed repairs to her home prior to upcoming rentals.
1) travel to the beach is further than 10 minutes. It takes about a 20 minute drive to get to the closest beach with traffic, distance, and lights.
2). The master bedroom has a wonderful shower, but has a large tub without jets. So the image in the pictures look like it is a jacuzzi, but it actually is not.
3). We expected to have a grill during our visit to enjoy the pool area, but that was broken. It was advertised, but only after making a deposit did we learn that it was broken. We requested that it be provided and fixed since it was offered in the description of the home prior to rental but was told no. So we feel that was service we paid for it, but it wasn't available.
4). The pool was cloudy during most of our visit and stay. The pool needed maintenance that the owner was aware of prior to our stay; however, it wasn't fixed until 5 days after renting the home. Our total stay was 7 days. This meant, we dealt with bugs in the pool, no circulation, and cloudiness. This was an inconvenience to us because we fully expected to enjoy pool time for ourselves and teens during our stay.
5. Feel free to look at the pictures of the bedroom. The TV's are very old and the cable systems and remotes are outdated and complicated to work. We only had 2 remote controls for 4 rooms in the house. Again, another inconvenience when you have a full house of guests and everyone can't work a tv. In one room, the tv outlet didn't work and so there was no tv there also.
Next, one of the guest room needs the mattress replaced. It was hard as a rock. The other rooms were great...but this must be replaced for everyone in every room to have an enjoyable stay.
6). The owner reports she is available to support and assist if needed; however she was very distant and lacked concern about our issues reported during our stay. We expected better customer support and consideration of our needs.
Overall, we are not upset with the owner and want to clarify that we are writing this review to only share our concerns and help make others in the future have a much better stay:). Overall, when renting, it requires updating our property and making sure those who invent in rental are satisfied and happy with their overall stay.

We enjoyed this house. It was big enough for the whole family. Loved the pool and we were only 20 to 30 minutes from beach, shopping and restaurants.

Perfect house for family vacation
Very clean, well stocked, awesome property you will not regret booking. Perfect for our family vacation. Beaches less then 20 minutes away. This house was supplied with everything we needed to stay a whole week even beach chairs and umbrellas! The pool was perfect.

Wonderful Home
This home was large enough for our family of six and just like the ad said. It was clean and incredibly well supplied for kitchen use. The master suite is separate and very well laid out. Any glitches were immediately taken care of by the owner. It is situated in a quiet and serene neighbor that is close to all the area attractions. We loved our experience and would stay here again.

Home Away From Home!
This place was perfect for our 10-day stay visiting friends in the Placida area. The floorplan is one of the best we've had in a vacation home with split bedrooms providing lots of privacy. The Rotonda neighborhood is quiet and conveniently located near shopping, biking trails, and Boca Grande. The entire house was immaculate and very well equipped with multiple sets of sheets and towels for longer stays. The weather didn't quite cooperate for us to use the pool but it was nice to sit out in the sun on the lanai on some of the most comfortable chaise lounges we've ever used. I highly recommend this spot as a home away from home!

Great Stay at White Marsh!
The house was very spacious and clean for our family of six! The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed our two week stay! The pool was warm enough to use most days (up to 88 degrees in early January) and the granddaughters enjoyed playing with the toys that were there. The beaches were very nice and clean and plenty of dining options. I would recommend this house and stay there again.

Wonderful March Getaway
We had a great time at this home. It was large enough for the four of us to have our own space. The location was ideal. It is centrally located to a lot of areas to the north, south and east. The beach was a short drive, and the Rotonda neighborhood offered quiet streets, walking paths and a nearby park. The Englewood area was much less congested with traffic than nearby Cape Coral, Ft. Myers and Sarasota. I would return to this area in the future. There are some improvements needed, which I will discuss with the owner, who was very responsive when I had any questions. I know there is no guarantee on the weather, but we experienced blue skies, sunny weather and low humidity for the majority of our time there. Something we haven't seen much of in PA during the past year! We really enjoyed our stay!

Nice overall property
For the most part had a relaxing ,enjoyable stay.More attention to detail in prepping the house would have avoided a gas grill incident as well as the pool being left uncovered.The mattresses in the bedrooms definitely need some attention..very uncomfortable.The kitchen was not as well stocked with pots/pans as other houses I have rented in the past in Rotonda..All in all an enjoyable stay with some minor inconveniences.

Great Winter Getaway
Great location, beautiful home and a very nice pool that is solar heated. Nice quiet spot. Really nice walking path in the neighborhood. Multiple gulf courses. Within 10 minute drive to multiple restaurants. Close to Supermarket. Within 15 minutes to nice beaches. The traffic is so much better than Ft Myer. Hoping to return next year. It didn't hurt that the weather was superb.

Review of August/September stay
We spent an enjoyable 2 months in this spacious and comfortable home with plenty of bedrooms (4) and a gorgeous lanai with pool. Having the ability to bring our two dogs with us was an added bonus. Pool and lawn service were provided by the owner, as is cable television (Comcast) and wifi. Conveniently located close to Englewood Beach, several Publix grocery stores and a number of good restaurants. We did mention to the owner that, for longer term visitors, she might want consider replacing the kitchen cookware/utensils and the pool furniture is getting a little weathered. All in all, this was a very positive experience for us!

Great vacation!
My family enjoyed having this lovely home as our base. We had everything we needed inside the house, added a couple of beach towels, chairs, noodles, and umbrellas to the outdoor supplies. Your mileage may vary! Beach chairs and umbrellas have a short life, and we usually contribute some to every house we stay in.
Bed in the master was very comfortable, best we've had yet in a rental.
Canal watching was fun--birds, fish, and an alligator!
We always enjoy Englewood beach and Boca Grande. We had wonderful meals at Placida Grill, Lock and Key, Farlow's, and (Little?)Tony's pizza.

Beautiful House
We had a great time in this beautiful home. The view from the lanai is gorgeous & relaxing. House is spacious & very well stocked with pretty much everything you would need. Located close to the neighborhood park, playground & tennis courts. Close to several beaches & restaurants. Vanessa was wonderful to work with & responds quickly. Loved our stay here!!

Property is beautiful.
The pool is not heated and with the cool January temps the pool was so cold we couldn’t get in. That was a big disappointment! The stove needs replacement since 2 burners do not work and the oven and broiler do not seem to get up to proper temperature. The pantry was well stocked with salt, spices, flour etc.. The bed linens were top grade and there were lots of towels. It was well worth the cost of the rental.
