Villa Marcella was beautiful and a magical setting for our wedding that exceeded our expectations. What makes this villa a 5+ rating is the Property Manager, Amanda, Fred, the owner, and the team on site (Alan, Leo and Mimi). All were helpful and attentive, and I am not sure how we could have hosted so many guests without them. A hurricane passed through the weekend before and the team worked so hard to prepare the villa for our arrival. Apart from the beach being washed out, you had no idea as the villa was in perfect condition.
We booked the villa for 5 nights and had family and friends stay with us (17 total). Everyone had enough space to find a moment to themselves or to gather in the kitchen area, sitting room, or outside. We lounged by the pool, gathered around the firepit at night, and had a great time. We arranged for two meals to be prepared by Alan and Leo at the villa...one on arrival night as everyone was tired and the second on the morning of our wedding. The food was awesome and we had enough leftovers for days.
Our stay at the villa and having our wedding here was top shelf! Hats off to the team at Villa Marcella! Thank you!

Villa Marcella lived up to all of the positive reviews and exceeded our expectations. Alan and Leo took great care of us at the house. Although the beach is not swimmable, it didn’t deter from the beauty of the location.

We had a group of 12 stay at the Via Marsalla for four nights in January for my birthday.
I've stayed at the Pedregal over a dozen times, and the fact that this property was right on the beach made it one of a kind.
We worked with the property manager Amanda and had a catering company come through the last night to do a nice stringed light dinner on the beach.
All in all it was a great trip!
Lots of amazing pictures near the rocks on the beach as well!

Great Trip!
I brought some of my employees down to stay at Villa Marcella for a little R&R and they were blown away by the home, the beach, and the food the house chef cooked for us. 30 Year Vow Renewal
My dream was to bring all of my kids (ages 20-26) to celebrate our 30 year Anniversary and this Home made the trip spectacular. The Home is beautiful and the beds are very comfortable. the kids choose to stay home rather than go to town for dinners. I am a frequent traveler and I would recommend this property because the location was very safe and the team provided was wonderful.

Amazing 16th birthday house!
Celebrated my daughter’s 16th birthday with her friends. Chose it because it was spacious and on the beach, loved it because it has everything. No reason to leave the compound. The property, owner and staff were pronominal!

Incredible home, incredible staff
There’s not one bad thing to be said about this property or staff. I’ve vacationed one pedregal multiple times and have had great experiences, but this experience was unlike any other. We had a crew of 15 and the house never seemed Remotely cramped. From the breathtaking views from the home, to the staff, to the private beach, we were in awe for 5 straight days. Everything in the house worked, nothing was broken, and beds were comfortable. I would recommend this house to larger parties 1000/1000 times. I will definitely be back! Thank you Amanda for the incredible communication and making everything a breeze.

Great Vacation Property
We had a lovely time at this property in Cabo. Positives were its location on the beach, the quality of the staff and amenities of the home. We had two elderly parents with us so the number of stairs within the home was a little bit of a challenge but that was specific to our family and not at all a negative to the property. The beach outside the house has quite a dangerous rip tide so please be careful with younger children. Pedregal is beautiful but given this home’s location in the community it is a little difficult to make quick trips into town. All in all a great trip and a wonderful property.

Villa Marcella July 2019
Wonderful property and attentive staff. Spent the week with friends and had an event for roughly 25 people (dinner right on the beach), and everything came off beautifully. There's a beautiful beach that comes right up to the back patio stairs (don't try to swim in that surf!), and it almost felt private. For the whole week, we probably only saw a dozen or so other people walking around. Just a great overall trip.

Magical experience in every way possible
Our experience at the Villa Marcella began way before checking in. Amanda and Fred are great to work with, providing first-class service from the beginning. My wife and I chose the Villa as the location for our wedding based on the size, accommodations and proximity to the beach. Our wedding week was fantastic, having both her and my family stay at the Villa, with our friends at a hotel nearby. The staff is great, quickly becoming part of our family. Waking up each day, having listened to the waves crashing all night is the best way to start any day. Our wedding was magic, and the guests were in love with the atmosphere. I would highly recommend Villa Marcella and we hope to return one day soon. Thanks for all your help, it was a please to work with you!

Absolutely breathtaking Villa Marcella
The Villa was gorgeous and immaculate. Very comfortable rooms and beds. Perfectly arranged for our large group of 11 to have dinner, play pool, enjoy the bar, watch movies, and relax on the terrace and watch the beautiful waves, or slip away to a quiet place to read. The location on the beach had very few people, the set back gave us privacy at the pool. We felt very safe at all times at the Villa. We had the most amazing service from David our concierge, Benjamin our chef, and Carmen who kept everything clean each day. Benjamin is amazing in the kitchen. We ate most meals there 3 times a day and each was creative and delicious. I truly don't know why we ever went out. The few times we did we all said to each other--Benjamins food is much better than any restaurant. David took care of every need we had from transportation to setting up a snorkling trip, to serving dinner. He and Benjamin even went with us to Costco! Perfect hosts at our finger tips at all times. Carmen made everything fresh each day. We did not lift a finger. A week went by way too fast. We made such great memories. Villa Marcella was magical and worth every penny!!

Stunning Mansion on the Sand- Truly Created our Fairytale Wedding
Like many others, my wife & I were married at Villa Marcella in June. It was literally the most amazing day anyone could have possibly asked for. We had exactly 100 guests and it was plenty of room for everyone. We even had multiple guests tell us it was the best wedding they've been to, BY FAR. The staff was amazing the whole trip, and we opted for the chef services. Benjamin made us breakfast every morning at the time we requested. Don't sleep on the French Toast! The best thing about this villa though is Amanda, she was out of this world helpful. We relied on her throughout the whole process, and she was very responsive & always went out of her way to make sure our stay was perfect. We still keep in touch with her today & have even discussed hanging out next time we're in the Bay Area. We rented the other two villas as well for our guests, and they all had rave reviews themselves. They even make comments about how we have to do a reunion trip in the future. I cannot say enough good things about our experience, and I can personally guarantee that you will not find a better venue in Cabo San Lucas if you're trying for an intimate, beach wedding.

The Perfect Wedding Venue.. and a Fantastic place to Vacation
My husband and I were married at Villa Marcella and it was the most magical experience of my life. The views are breathtaking- perfect golden sand, beautifully shaped boulders, and miles of open ocean. If you are looking for a wedding venue, look no further, you will not find a better place. We had a barefoot beach ceremony, and have stunning photos of the waves rippling behind us. There is plenty of room around the pool for the reception, and a great spot for a dance floor as well. We had 75 people and there was plenty of room. Aside from being the most beautiful wedding venue, Villa Marcella, Descanso and Gran Vista are all amazing places to just vacation with friends and family. We rented Descanso and Gran Vista for a week as well for our guests, and every single person said it was perfect in both accommodation and service. Adrian is the main caretaker of Villa Marcella and he is a kind, generous and personable man. And he is an incredible chef! We hosted group dinners before the wedding for our guests, and Adrian and the other caretakers cooked for everyone, and their dishes were really outstanding. His jumbo shrimp was to die for! If you stay here, you should absolutely have them cook for you. Having the staff was wonderful- they did the perfect job at gaging when we needed their help and when we needed privacy. The villa itself is spectacular. We called it the marble palace. And lastly, Amanda, the manager of the villa is the most helpful, responsive person I have ever dealt with. She told me last fall she would help me along the way since this was also my wedding venue, and she went way above and beyond responding to obscure questions from guests that I passed along to putting up signs on each door stating the name of the room, and much much more. She is an incredibly easy person to work with, which I think is a huge reason to also consider this for if not your wedding venue, than a great vacation spot. Best place I’ve ever stayed, hands down.

Exceptional service and even better accommodations - First Class!
Fred and his staff were awesome to work with - I could tell I was dealing with a first class operation on my initial inquiry. The team was very informative of the area, always available to answer questions and I was treated as a VIP at all times . The Villa was over the top - amazing views, a location that couldn't be better and onsite staff that helped with groceries, meals and other day to day housekeeping.
The day before our arrival, Hurricane Blanca threatened our entire vacation - we almost didn't go - naturally we were concerned about canceling last minute but Fred was a stand up guy - he offered us a full refund - the excitement got the best of us, we bit the bullet and decided to let the storm play out while we were there. Good thing we did because we had the time of our life. In the end we did leave a day early as the storm continued toward land fall - Fred once again was a class act and refunded us the last day we were not there. We had a large crew and this was only one of the Villas we rented, the other home was also a great experience but the service was not equal and there was no refund on the last day either.

Magical, Majestic Villa Marcella
A long postponed stay at Villa Marcella due to cancelled flights after the hurricane and it was worth the wait! The owners were so accommodating in our reschedule even though the Villa itself sustained no damage. From the moment you enter the light filled villa with a 180 view of the ocean, you are relaxed and well taken care of by Adrian and the staff. The rooms each has its own air conditioning control, so all can sleep in comfort. The small fridge in the bedroom was stocked with water, tea and beer at our request.
Adrian cooked us gourmet meals each night and shared recipes and cooking techniques. He went almost daily to the fish market and store for fresh finds. His BBQ Jumbo Prawns and Enchiladas were a huge hit but no meal was less than exceptional so leave it to him and you will be happy. His raspberry vinegarette, churros, bananas foster and other specialties were just wonderful. The girls never left the house except a quick trip into town for the Kentucky Derby and some shopping, and the boys had a ball catching a 140lb marlin on the GoDeep boat with Captain Frankie set up by owner, which Adrian then cooked up to perfection.The house is perfectly furnished with lots of comfortable chairs that face the ocean which because of the storm in New Zealand had huge sets of waves we could watch all day. This is not a swimming beach and caution should be noted, don't turn your back on the waves. But it is a nice long, safe, wide walking beach. We decided it was the most reasonably priced luxury vacation we had taken. Other than rent, we paid about $20pp/day in food, Adrian for Cooking and Tip. Recommend contacting Costco and having them pull your items so when you or Adrian arrive, they will just load it for you. No running around the warehouse or waiting in line. Since house at bottom of a hill, good hiking/running was available right outside the door. Bring a espresso pot as they only have a coffee maker but it made great coffee.

Incredible beach front Cabo experience
Villa Marcella was an incredible place to spend a weekend in Cabo! The beach is pristine and the ocean views cannot be beat. Sunsets and sunrises both were amazing. The beach is very walkable and we explored many times.
The house itself is also an absolute delight! All of the bed rooms are spacious and comfortable. The kitchen area is very conducive to big groups while the downstairs area was a great place to hang out with friends. We played pool, ping pong, swam, and relaxed. Overall, I could not give this villa higher marks!

Magical Vacation Estate!
My family and I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Villa Marcella. I was the 2013 "3 nights free" winner and ended up extending extending our stay so that we could fully take advantage of this beautiful home. This home was perfect for our group ranging from an 11 month old baby to the 65+ grandparents. Each bedroom offered a tremendous amount of privacy and beautiful views that let you feel you were all alone, while the numerous common areas were perfect for family meals and activities throughout the day. Lastly, being on the beach -- and the last house on the stretch -- afforded us tremendous views, countless walks, and breathtaking sunsets.
We simply cannot wait to return!

Villa Marcella, Beachfront in Pedregal
We recently visited Cabo for our third time and stayed at Villa Marcella with 2 other families, 13 of us total. I cannot say enough nice things about this property and how beautifully it worked for our group. There are two gorgeous master suites, another very nice smaller beach suite, and two add'l large bedrooms w/ two king beds each that worked wonderful for our teenagers. The rooms are all very private, allowing everyone to have their "space". The property is not within walking distance to town, but the beach in front of it is very nice, though not recommended for swimming. We did have a rental car but most nights called a taxi van to take us in and out of town.....it worked out great. Adrian, the resident caretaker is a true gem and willing to do as much or as little as you would like......everyone in our group loved him and his homemade meals were truly the best meals we had in Cabo, fabulous! He speaks wonderful English and was very helpful each day with taxis, dinner reservations, and local connections. One windy day he even walked out on the beach with kites for our kids to fly, and another with fishing poles for evening fishing! We were also spoiled by the housekeeping, as that is not a provision we've experienced in other VRBO's we've rented in the past.....what a nice treat. Planning our trip was a piece of cake too with the help of the owner Fred (who actually came by twice while we were there to check on us), and his assistant Amanda.....they both were incredibly helpful with suggestions of local restaurants, dinner cruises, fishing boats, scheduling, etc. Overall, our stay at Villa Marcella was excellent, we absolutely recommend this property, and look forward ourselves to staying there again in the future!

Amazing Amazing Amazing....Oh and the House is Amazing Too!
Over the past few years a group of us have had the privilege of staying at all 3 of Fred's properties and WOW are they wonderful. It is hard to see ourselves staying anywhere else when come to Cabo.
All of the house are great but that is expected when you stay in 5-10 million dollar homes...The reason for the 5 star review is the easy of working with Fred, Amanda and each house caretaker, Furtunato and Adrian. Fred was able move things around and accommodate our last minute reservation. Amanda was very responsive with any and all questions I had. And the caretakers are there when you need them and out of the way when you want privacy. They know how to joke around and are very personable. Over the years we have found it much easier to have the caretaker prepare breakfast and dinner each night. They do an amazing job.
I strongly recommend staying at Marcella, Gran Vista or Descanso. I guarantee you will love it!!

BY FAR THE BEST PLACE IN CABO!!!
My Wife and I recently tied the knot and we had booked the Villa Marcella as not only our place for the wedding but the place to remain for the half week we were in Cabo! We couldn't have made a better choice!!! The place is located in the Beautiful Pedregal Neighborhood and it has by far the best location of any Villa in the area. There is ample room for fun and relaxation and the Villa is so big and yet so comfortable as well! The owner was by far one of the easiest people to work with and the Villa's caretaker went above expectations and did so much to help make our stay amazing! It's rare you find this type of customer service when dealing with a vacation property but these guys were really on it and made our wedding and vacation so easy and beautiful! We would whole heartedly recommend the Villa Marcella to anyone looking to have the best spot and time in Cabo! There wasn't a dull moment and it was all thanks to the serene location and beautiful home!!! Many thanks to the owner (and assistants) and the caretaker for their above and beyond mentality along with the gracious efforts before, during and after our stay. Most definitely the most special place we have ever been! Muchas gracias!!!!!

This villa is pure magic
Villa Gran Vista, Villa Marcella and Villa Descanso are pure magic. Tucked away in the gorgeous hillside that is Pedregal, these three homes provide friends and family the perfect, luxurious getaway. My husband and I used all three homes for our wedding weekend in November 2013 and we were thrilled with each villa. Each of the homes have their own unique perks, and if you have any questions about renting all three homes, working with Fred, having a wedding on the beach in Pedregal and a reception at one of these homes, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. I am an event planner by day, so doing this for my wedding was a dream come true. What we were able to do for our destination wedding could not have been done at a hotel, that is for sure. These homes are intimate, the epitome of luxury and somewhere we plan on visiting for years to come.
The care takers for each home are also brilliant. Adrian (Marcella) and Fortunado (Descanso, Gran Vista) will take of anything you need, from cooking to cleaning to grocery shopping.
While we would not change our wedding for anything there are a few things to note when renting the homes:
1. You need to provide ALL of the security deposit up front in cash. I rent homes/apartments all around the world and this is the only place where we have had to pay the deposit in cash. I know it is to protect the owner, but it is not my preference.
2. The floors are REALLY slippery when wet because they are beautiful marble. You have been warned!
3. If you do rent one or all of these homes PLEASE be sure to keep track of things like towels, dishes, hair dryers, etc. Wouldn't want you to feel nickeled and dimed upon leaving.

Fred, Greetings from 39000 feet! It was tough to leave your beautiful home this morning in Cabo. I can't think of just one word to describe our experience. It was amazing and enjoyed by all. Adrian made the trip for us,he is a true gentleman and enhanced our trip more than I can describe. Not only is he an excellent chef, but we felt as if he was apart of our trip.
