Pro's: slight ocean view, clean, has all the necessities, beach toys and umbrella available, great wifi.
Con's: only the ceiling fan was in the apartment and it does get toasty starting around 10am, no AC means the windows stay open all the time and you get to hear everything in the neighborhood, don't stay here if you don't like parking several blocks away if you can find a spot at all, only flat sheets and comforter on the bed, no fitted sheet so you end up on the mattress protector and no other blanket options, several things about the property were not the same as the pictures represented (i.e. the bedding, lamps, extra fan), the shower curtain liner was dirty, and the shower head needs to be replaced. Not a great place if you want a quiet vacation and not super private since the windows have to stay open.

It is very close to the beach as described which is great. The building however is a four-plex so there are two units upstairs. While the balcony appears private it is not unless the other upstairs is vacant. If you are a light sleeper bring earplugs because any conversation or music in the other unit is completely heard even with the windows closed. Also if they are smoking in the other unit it finds its way in as well. You will want the windows open for cooler air in the evenings and again earplugs for us light sleepers. My wife had no trouble sleeping and enjoyed the sound of the waves.

It was a last minute trip to SD. Price was nice and location was great. Just a couple blocks from the amusement park a few steps from the beach. The owners were very good with communication. They texted us to let us know that it was ready early and we could go whenever we want it.

The room I booked through booking . com was completely different to the studio that vacasa gave me. It showed to separate areas with multiple beds. When I showed up, it was just a small studio with 1 bed and zero room for another bed. Very expensive and disappointing

Cons: absolutely filthy,
Stains in the toilet, crusty used hard hand towel in the shower, hair all over the “clean towels”, bath tub didn’t drain and outlets didn’t work.
Paper towels provided were dusty and dirty, looked disgusting on top of the fridge, no coffee left.

Great little condo, but parking sucks!!!
The condo and amenities were great. The only compliant that I would have is no parking. We did not have issues with walking, but the public parking areas were closed during a few hours of the night which meant we would have to get the car by 10pm and try and find street parking. However, you cannot park on the street from 8am-10am Mon-Thurs. So, then we would have to make sure to move the car from the street before 8am and park back in the public parking area. We did this until Thursday night at which point we found street parking again and stayed there until we left on Saturday morning. I would be interested in see information on the other condo upstairs and the one downstairs as well.

Sweet Sunset Studio.
Awesome location just steps from the beach. Enjoyed morning coffee on the deck while watching the ocean. Enjoyed the sunset later in the day. The bed was comfy and the towels were super soft. The kitchen had the neccessarie but would have appreciated some coffee. Had some issues with the cable and remote but assistance was pretty quick. It was an enjoyable stay and it was great going to sleep with the sound of the waves.

Great location but that’s about it. Needs a new mattress and a new couch. It’s basically just a place to sleep. Couldn’t really even cook using the pots and pans because they were so old and falling apart. If all you care about is location it’s the place for you.

Perfect for a quick beach getaway. Very close to the beach. I will advise there is no AC. It was fine with the weather we had while there, but could be a bit warm during the few weeks when San Diego gets really hot weather. If you’re like us and spent most of the time outside enjoying the beach, then there’s not much to worry about.

Hot and Smokey
The studio was as described small and decent. It was central to the boardwalk and all restaurants. The small fan in the room did not work. So I relied on the open windows to cool down. Unfortunately the group that was sharing the balcony train smoked and their smoke blew in my windows the entire time making the room unbearable. So I would shut the windows when they came out and opened them when they went back in. It was an uncomfortable hot and Smokey stay.

Likes: 1. Location, it’s super close to the water and Belmont park.
2. Room is small but cozy. Bed was comfy! Futon satisfied my kids. Full kitchen! Extra beach towels.
3. Breakfast on the porch is a must! Peaceful. Loved watching the ocean and people passing by.
4. Communication was great.
Dislikes: 1. Parking was a pain. Street parking was impossible so parked in the overnight lot south of Belmont park.
2. A/C unit is broken. Once we opened windows and put the box fan in the window, it cooled down and was comfortable.
Overall, great experience. I would definitely book again!

Nice view, my family really enjoyed sitting out on the patio for meals. It was a nice change to be able to sit outside and eat in peace without fighting flies and mosquitoes! Great location if you're there for relaxing on the beach and going to the amusement park and Sea World.

I stayed here with my 2 daughters. It was small but very cozy. The only issue we had was the other unit upstairs felt that they could take over the table outside because they were there before us. I didn’t realize it was shared but either way it was still worth every bit of it. The beach is steps away!

Nice get away
You can't beat the location, just steps away from the beach. It's a small unit, but it was just what we were looking for. Mission beach area is a bit loud at night, it's just part of the atmosphere. We really enjoyed our stay. The oven wouldn't light but we didn't discover that until or last morning before leaving, I'm sure they have since fixed it, they just couldn't get someone out on a Sunday, which is understandable. Overall it was a great stay and we would do it again.

Excellent location, on-line listing showed grill on second story patio, but it was missing.
Great location and great view. Online advertising showed a grill on top patio which was appealing during Covid, but management said community grill was downstairs. To be safe, we purchase a grill to use during our week stay. Top patio was for use of two units upstairs, that was not clear in advertising. The 4seat round patio table was missing center glass so not very useful. Recommend having two patio sets to accommodate two units and one grill so all tenants can enjoy patio view.

Ocean side apartment
The location is absolutely perfect!! 3 doors down from the ocean a couple of blocks from many wonderful places to eat. Belmont park is within walking distance or scooter distance. The only minor complaints I had was the location of the tv above the bathroom door although I didn't watch it much you basically have to watch it looking straight up. Also parking is a pain if you dont like walking. There is an over night parking lot about 5 blocks away but you can rent lyft scooters for fairly cheap quick means of transportation.
