While there are a number of new luxury homes on the mountain, most of these are condo-style where you enter an elevator to get to your property ~ well not at ours! Our luxury home is accessed right off the mountain from your own private deck!
WINTER SEASON HIGHLIGHTS = We are a 'true' ski in & ski out destination where you are actually on the ski run and slopeside to all the action! Our luxury home is located at the bottom of the Main Ski Lift 1. If only the best will do, you've come to the right vacation destination! Our Elkpoint Townhome is one of only 7 luxury homes at Purgatory Ski Resort (formally known as Durango Mountain Resort) where you can literally ski-in & ski-out off of your own deck! Just look at our PHOTOS! For non-skiers or those just taking a break, no location is better to be a part of and enjoy the action. Just sit back fireside and watch the skiers come down the mountain slopes through the breathtaking 18-foot vaulted floor-to-ceiling windows framed with warm timber accents! Have kids? We have our very own private 'backyard' just off the main room deck with your own snowy playground! See our photos! SUMMER SEASON HIGHLIGHTS = Our home is just steps from the mountain village with gift shops, restaurants and the community pool, spa and fitness facility. Summer activities are plentiful with miniature golf, alpine slides, bungee jumping, kids bounce-house, scenic chairlift rides, mountain biking, horseback riding, etc. In July and August the resort hosts the annual Music in the Mountains Festival with an amazing variety of music from the best musicians in the world. The fun is unlimited and no location is better to be in the heart of the action!
Inside our nearly 3000 square foot Elkpoint tri-level home, no detail has been spared in our professionally decorated, upscale home. The 5 bedroom & 4 bathroom layout is well designed with sleeping accommodations and bathrooms on each of the 3 levels.
The first level has a private oversized single-car garage with ski racks and sleds for our guests to use. In addition, there is a large bedroom/game room with Queen bed and Queen sleeper sofa, TV, and full bathroom ... This room is a perfect place for kids to hang out, play games and relax away from the parents!
The second level is the main living and dining area with plenty of room to eat, lounge fireside and watch the outdoor mountain activities through the 18-foot soaring windows. This area of the home is an entertainer's delight with an open floorplan that includes a full-size gourmet kitchen, dining table, and plenty of other seating. In addition, there are 2 bedrooms on this level (1 room with Cal King bed & private balcony and the other room with 2 Full beds) and another full bathroom.
On the third level you will find another full bathroom, bedroom (with bunkbed - Full on top/Queen on bottom) and the Master Suite. The Master Suite will welcome you to relax in the King bed while watching TV or reading a book, while the bedside fireplace keeps you warm and toasty. Indulge yourself in the Master bathroom complete with spacious walk-in closet, 2 sinks and oversized jacuzzi tub!

There is 4% resort fee included in the quote is required by the resort and must be charged and does not allow access to the Durango Mountain Club. For an additional (and optional) 4% resort fee, you will have access to the Durango Mountain Club which includes an outdoor heated pool with slide, outdoor hot tub and workout facility. When booking, just advise if you would like us to add the additional 4% resort fee.

This is the second time we book from Erin and have been extremely pleased with everything. The condo is the perfect size for a large gathering with enough beds for everyone and a kitchen that is stocked with common spices. Great views and access to Purgatory Resort.

My family of 6 and our friends, a family of 6, had a great ski vacation at this ski in/out home. The home offered plenty of space and was very clean and comfortable. Having the ski lift just steps from the back porch was awesome. Combine that with a tiny Purgatory crowd and good snow and what could be better? We had no issues and would absolutely stay at this home again.

We visited the early part of December and had a blast. The home is just as described on the site. It is so perfect if you are skiing. The snow was not great (it was early ski) but still plenty of runs open. It truly is ski in-ski out. Some of our group did not ski. They were able to watch from the inside or out on the deck. Good area just outside to go sledding also. Erin was amazing responding and answering my many questions. The seating area in the living room was so comfy. Kitchen well stocked with everything we needed. Highly recommend. Hope to stay there again soon!

Our family of 6 prefer staying at one of the Elk Point units and this is one of the best ones available. It is nice that the owners include access to the pool/hot tub without an extra charge...that is not what we have found at other units in there area.

The area is absolutely beautiful. There was an issue in the beginning of getting there, but it was resolved promptly which was appreciated. Management was not at fault but handled the problem efficiently and satisfactorily. Plenty of room for our group. Would go again and recommend this venue for larger families and friends.

We stayed with our family of 13 here for a family gathering and it was just perfect. Well stocked, very comfortable, clean, and good communication with the manager. Perfect place for a group!
We loved the place! We had 2 families and still had extra room. The condo was literally at the bottom of the bike run and so easy to get to. It was really well stocked and made it really easy to cook and hang out and be cozy. We loved our stay and would recommend it and hope to come back again!

We had a really good time on our ski vacation this year. We had groceries so we didn’t have to go anywhere but to the lift. Easy path to the door at the end of your day. I hope to stay there again next year.

The condo had like 9 small bath towels we went to the store and purchased 6 towels. The next party will have a few more towels. Did not mind purchasing the towels just wish up front they would state we have 9 towels if you need more bring them, Minor issue to me but to the woman they were very mad

Poor communication with owner/manager
We were told we would get the code for the lock within 24 to 48 hours prior to check in, we texted the owner/manager a few hours before we arrived to get it, at which time we did get a response. We never received any information about how to get the pass for the pool and exercise facility. Also we were told we would get a text the day before checking out with information about what we needed to do prior to leaving, we never received that either. The cleanliness of the property was marginal at best compared to other vrbo properties we have stayed in.

Best Mountain Location!
This property is everything you need for a great trip! Kitchen is well stocked for cooking large meals! Plenty of space for large family and perfect mountain location! Ski right to the front door from the bunny slope and the back door from the main slopes. We had our large family with toddlers to grandparents and everyone had an amazing week! Grandparents can even watch the top of the bunny slope from the master bedroom's balcony! Kids loved the patio and snow right outside the door, plenty of fun on the sleds! We will be back!
