About this cottage rental
Situated in Washington, this charming cottage for $168 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Come and enjoy our European rustic, loft style cottage, nestled on ten bucolic acres in the Cascade foothills. We have a quarter mile long driveway that crosses our bridge to where you will find your getaway home centered in the woodsy magic of Singing Dog Farm. The Cottage is elegantly finished with stucco walls, open beams, fir, oak, granite and marble flooring. The home is exceptionally warm and inviting and is the perfect place for adults to relax and enjoy a day in the country. The master bedroom has a Jacuzzi tub where you can turn on the propane fireplace and lay back and enjoy the overhead skylight, a movie or rock out to music. There is a firm, queen sized mattress in the master bedroom. The master bath has heated marble floors and an exquisite walk in marble shower, as well as its own skylight and in-ceiling speakers. There is a second bedroom and mud room/guest bath downstairs and a quarter bath upstairs. The upstairs loft living area has a spacious and open feel. The living area is furnished with plenty of comfortable seating and a good sound system. There is a writing desk where you can sit and seek inspiration from the world, or watch the horses outside the window. French doors open from the living area to a small, cozy deck to enjoy your morning coffee and greet the day. The upstairs also has a full kitchen with a gas range, all marble counters and a copper sink with copper pans hanging from above the island. The dining area has comfortable seating for four. The outside grounds are mostly in pasture where our Friesian horses can often be seen galloping for reasons only they can understand, but which we appreciate for the opportunity to enjoy their aristocratic beauty and flowing manes and tails. The compliment of our four Golden retrievers are on full time as staff members. They are always quite pleased to share their sage wisdom, listen knowingly and attentively to your troubles or just lick your face. The Cottage has all zone heating, with separate controls in each room. The entry way has heated marble flooring. We have a fair selection of board games and movies as well as satellite TV channels and crappy satellite internet via WiFi. There is a washer and dryer in the mud room. Just some additional notes, we strive to keep the cottage pristine, so we do ask that it remain, as much as practical, a shoe free home. A bench or stool is provided in both entrances to ease this transition. We also feel that our cottage and property is not suitable for children even when they are attended by loving and amazing parents. The staircase is steep and is all hardwood and the farm itself is not in any way child proofed. In choosing our decor we also knew that while more artistic for adults, the stucco finish and expansive use of soft wood trim is not very forgiving of children. Very sorry for any inconvenience and we hope you understand. Chris and Teri do live on site. We completely respect your privacy and the layout of the grounds lends itself to protecting a sense of seclusion. Please come and enjoy your stay!

Beautiful cabin that is so inviting! Love the personal touch put into the furnishings by our hosts Chris and Teri. The dogs were rhe best, and we enjoyed watching the horses during their morning and evening routine.
We spent our days hiking in the North Cascades, and appreciated the tip from Chris about Mt. Baker! Just a beautiful area!
I'm sure we will return to Singing Dog Farm during our next visit to the Pacific Northwest!

We enjoyed our stay very much. It happened to be very hot while we were there and a room air conditioner would have been nice to help with the heat upstairs in the kitchen and living room. But that didn’t stop us from enjoying our time there. The cottage and the property were very beautiful and quietly tucked away. We also enjoyed the golden retrievers and horses. This is a wonderful little cottage that’s very comfortable for four. Two bedrooms/2 bathrooms on the lower level and the large family room/kitchen area upstairs. Three great dogs are on the property, and you’ll find horses and maybe a stray goat or 2 wandering around. The cottage has good driving access to Sedro-Woolley, and the communication with the owners was easy. We would definitely rent again.

Our family greatly enjoyed our visit to Washington State and our stay at Singing Dog Farm was definitely a major part of that! We had never stayed any place other than a hotel so we had some reservations about trying this, but we are so thankful we gave it a chance! Everything about booking our stay and the actual execution of it couldn't have been made more easy. And the pictures are great, but it's even better in person! So beautiful, clean, cozy, and welcoming! I wish we could have stayed longer and spent more time enjoying the quiet natural surroundings, and of course the super friendly dogs and lovely horses too. Such a gem to find this place! It's a treasure we hope to return to some day and we can't say enough good about it - stay here, you won't be sorry!

We enjoyed our stay! Everything was clean and beautifully decorated. Pictures dont do it justice. It had everything we needed and more. The setting is gorgeous! The security guards were so friendly, we loved getting greeted by them everytime we returned. It was the perfect home base for visiting the North Cascades, rafting, San Juan Island, Fort Casey, and Deception Pass. We laughed at the owners sense of humor regarding the renovation of the cottage - been there, done that. If you get a chance, stay here!

There was plenty of room for two couples and the Christmas decorations in addition to some light snow fall created the perfect winter wonderland. Everything about our stay at Singing Dog Farm, from booking to leaving, was just wonderful. Chris and Teri's property is just so beautiful, and they were incredibly helpful, polite, and funny! Their dogs were a huge bonus and super friendly! If we ever come back to Washington, I will definitely stay again here and hopefully have more time to enjoy the cottage itself and the atmosphere. You can tell that the cottage is a work of love and pride - it's so unique and well-decorated. The master bathroom, especially, is a work of art!

The owners were A+, in personality, attentiveness, and politeness. The house gleams with pride of ownership and is extremely clean. The grounds are very well kept. We loved the dogs.
To be fair, it can get warm upstairs and the beds are a little on the hard side. We used the provided fans and it was fine.

Property is as advertised. The shower was amazing after long days of hiking. The upstairs was a bit warm at night, but the downstairs cooled off nicely, and we had no trouble sleeping. We also enjoyed the dogs, they are so friendly.

We have never had a VRBO experience quite like the Singing Dog Ranch! Entering on the beautiful bridge, you can feel how special the ranch is immediately. The entire property radiates the love Chris and Teri have invested over years of refurbishment. Humor and generosity greet you in their hospitality. My 20 something kids wanted to stay on the ranch rather than adventure in the Cascades just to soak in the remarkable atmosphere the Lynch's have created. We will be back!

This was the perfect place to return to after a day of hiking or sightseeing. The cottage itself is cozy and comfortable. The hosts have outdone themselves with the decor. There is something interesting in every nook and cranny. Loved it!

We loved our stay at singing dog farm! Space was super cool and plenty of space to hang out. It was quiet and peaceful watching the horses roam around and feed. Also, loved the owners dogs (3 golden retrievers) would greet us on arrival and in the morning. Super friendly. Recommend if you’re looking for a peaceful get away.
