The views at this home are incredible. It’s so relaxing sitting out on the patio. There’s a fire pit and hot tub there which are very nice. However, the house itself needs attention. The home needs a proper deep clean. We spent the first few hours cleaning the kitchen- dirty refrigerator shelves, dirty silverware trays, dirty microwave glass with a gross film on it etc. The bathrooms were not up to par. One shower had mold everywhere and one toilet made a loud screeching noise constantly. The bottom of the toilets were nasty. The rugs in the master are filthy and not washed between guests. The bedroom upstairs with 4 king bags where the kids stayed was very dirty under the beds. Our kids had toys roll under and there was food, empty drink bottles, random shorts etc. The house is huge so the cleaning crew is surface cleaning at best. The gate was broken and we constantly had to fill the pool up - it appears to have a leak. I’ve given this feedback to management in the past that they need to clean their homes better. They have amazing properties but they are slowing going downhill.Basically if you don’t mind spending a little time cleaning or you aren’t bothered by some dirt, I’m sure you’d have a great stay. The location is perfect and overall our family had a great time.

Web site pictures were deceiving and need to be updated as to how the property actually is. Updating of two of the shared bathrooms upstairs and master bathroom needed as well as bed comforters. Outdoor patio chairs needed to be replaced and outdoor weeding round the house was needed. Outdoor fountain wasn’t running. For the cost of the house and pictures from website we expected better. Also, the driveway up to the house was treacherous as it was tight curves and narrow with no way to pass a car coming the opposite direction. The location as far as Mountain View’s was great, kitchen was well supplied with cookware and having three refrigerators was great. Closeness to activities and parks was also good.Maintenance people were quick to reply the three times we called them and very friendly.

Mountain View was the perfect fit for our large family get together. It was so nice to have everyone under one roof. Thoroughly enjoyed the pool house, hot tub and large kitchen/dining room. All rooms were large and accommodating. The views were beautiful and sunset was magnificent!

This home was host to 20 members of our family in July. The views are so incredible and we spent as much time as we could on the large patio by the pool house but were limited by the oppressive heat. Something to consider if you are booking in the summer. There is a corn hole game but one side is broken, we brought our own so no big deal. The kitchen was very well appointed and we had everything we needed for large meals. There was plenty of extra bedding and pillows if needed. The basketball “court” is more like a basketball wall, be careful as we had a few balls roll off the edge of the area and had to climb to retrieve them but the kids still had plenty of fun with it.Our biggest disappointment was the pool. I picked this house because of the pool and assumed even if it was really hot out we could spend a lot of time swimming. Unknown to us in advance, the heater was broken and the water temp was 79 degrees, too cold for the adults but the smaller kids splashed around a bit. Since the pool is indoors it doesn’t get warmed by the sun. It is a drive to any hikes because of the location of the house (not to mention difficult for our smaller children) and we would have spent a lot of time swimming and hanging in the pool house (which was lovely) so that was a big disappointment for us. The pool house has a theatre set up which would have been great but you can’t see the screen during the day because the room is well lit and by the time it’s dark enough to see the screen the smaller kids have gone to sleep. Nothing to be done about that, just something to keep in mind. Lots of room for our group in the house even though the bathroom set up wasn’t great, several couples had to share the small bathrooms but it wasn’t a deal breaker and we made out fine. Overall it was a great house and a nice place for a gathering. Customer service was outstanding throughout our stay!

Cabin is old and tired. I imagine was nice back in the day but needs renovated. Only one room with its own bathroom. Mold in the showers, cabinet paint all chipped up, very dated and not well maintained. Found a cockroach - which I had to hide from the kids or we would have left that day.. maintenance had to come fix the gate, but unfortunately, it still did not work properly. Driveway was crazy. We had a great trip, but the house needs updated.

My family was celebrating my nephew's gradation. The property was very nice, you are in the middle of nowhere, so if you were loud, it's not a problem. I loved that the pool house is separated from the house. We also had a visitor (a bear), I wish I could attach the video. We were sitting on the back porch and when we saw it. We took video inside the house through the window. The only minor thing was, the cabin could have a little cleaner. There were flies in the master bedroom in the tub. Also the driveway to get to the gate is like a roller coaster. I would rent again though.

3/5 stars The good: The house was very private Pool house was awesome Grill worked awesome Everyone had enough room to hangout but also have their own space!The bad:House was not cleaned well at all ; hair trimmings were on the bathroom Floors, walls were dirty, and a few other things Disposal had a glass stuck in it, and drained poorlyBasketball hoop was broken (disappointed)The landscape had a t shirt molded in the rocks, cig butts everywhere even on the concrete patio , blunt roachs on the ground. Overall had a great time but the house needs an overhaul cleaning wise and updated master bathroom very old and toilet had puke or something on the base. Wouldn’t book again for the price we paid for 4 days . ($9200) . Recommend reducing the price or putting money into the property.

We had a great week at this place with extended family. It’s secluded and you really don’t have to leave once you are there. Plenty of space for the family to gather and plenty of room to spread out.
The pool and fire pit area were heavily used the whole week, and there is an awesome view of the mountains we couldn’t get enough of.
We even had a few visits from a black bear.
Two minor dings
- they weren’t ready to check us in at 3 on the day of arrival.
- they need to do a better job of cleaning the place between guests. Several places need some extra attention, nothing that was a mood killer, just clearly haven’t been cleaned in awhile.

We would not recommend You would think the leaves would have been blown away from in front of the doors, they would have picked up the trash lying around, wiped off the countertops and tops of dressers, cleaned the spills off the poker table, cleaned the coffee pots and emptied the ashtray at the front door, but they did not. This was not the best stay we have ever had but not the worst, although I can't remember what was. The concept of all this in one house was amazing but reality was we will not do this again. This was over a 10k trip and not something we can do all the time. WE really expected a lot better and cleaner house for the money we spent. We had to wash all dishes before we used them and clean all rooms. Just because when you walk in the house it gave you the feeling it was not clean.

Omgggggggggg the house was better than the pictures, home was beautiful and my family needed to be the only house on the mountain because they were so loud lol I know they scared the bears away... This house is very dated and poorly maintained. The front door and the sliders were very squeaky. We had to buy WD40 to apply to them. The kitchen was poorly maintained. The dishwasher was touchy about starting. The toaster was touchy about working. One drawer was crooked and wouldn't shut properly. The paring knives were dull; we had to buy a sharpener. There were 2 can openers; neither worked. There was no grease trap on one of the grills, which attracted bears to our porch, and it also ran out of gas during our stay. The Blackstone griddle didn't heat adequately.
We had to call maintenance 3 times for the a.c. The first call was for a leak that was dripping from the ceiling onto the game room table. Then the a.c. on the second floor and master bedroom stopped working. The temp went up to 83°. It took 2 days and 2 visits to get it fixed. The first tech added charge to one unit. The upstairs temp that night never went below 82°. We called again the next morning. We were told a tech would be there that morning. Then the time was changed to late afternoon. He arrived even later, so we lost a whole day due to waiting for him. This time it was a defective capacitor in the other unit. To make matters worse, there was no ceiling fan in one of the upstairs bedrooms nor in the master bedroom. The knobs to open the windows had been removed all over the house, so we couldn't get any outside air. This is a huge concern and a real hazard in case of a fire.
In one bedroom the fan worked, but the lights on the fan didn't. There was no pull chain to turn them on. In the master bedroom, the bed was very squeaky.

Horrible,nasty, and very unclean. After paying 7 grand for 4 days I expected to walk into saying WOW. Instead I was extremely upset about how nasty the mansion was. Had to go buy cleaning supplies to clean the house ourselves which took half the day. Walked up to the home looked like noone has touched the outside in forever. After contacting Elks Resort they sent a guy out but after hearing his story that HE only have an hour to turn around a mansion this size I couldn't be pissed with him.. Also, on the video in the pool area it's only 1 pool not 2. I would've like to have been told this before I booked. Very misleading. A beautiful Mansion like this should invest more in the workers cleaning the house.

Horrible,nasty, and very unclean. After paying 7 grand for 4 days I expected to walk into saying WOW. Instead I was extremely upset about how nasty the mansion was. Had to go buy cleaning supplies to clean the house ourselves which took half the day. Walked up to the home looked like noone has touched the outside in forever. Upon arriving and to our dismay, we were not very thrilled to find several things wrong with the home as well as it being outdated. We paid over $5,000 for this property and for the owners to not keep it in luxury style is terrible.

* Could not access WiFi and Internet until Friday, Oct 1 when Xfinity technician came out.
* Upon arriving the air conditioner on the main level was inoperative; called maintenance and he responded and was able to fix it.
* There were numerous bees swarming the area and bee hive living in the bush bed directly by the front entrance door. The exterminator never showed up as we were told from maintenance.
* The home is outdated.
* Kitchen cabinets are old and some broken off the tracks.
* Refrigerator outdated.
* Ceiling fans issues:
* Dead bugs in all of the fans throughout the house.
* Lighting is extremely dark especially in the kitchen because most of the lights in the ceiling fan only had 1 bulb instead of 2-3 bulbs.
* One of the upstairs bedrooms ceiling fan didn't work when the light switch was turned off. Mainly because there's no "cord" to pull the fan to work.
* Kitchen ceiling fan has a broken cord.
* Vents: some of the floor vents are broken and needs a screw ex: kitchen area
* No iron to iron our clothes however there is an ironing board...
* Bed comforters and pillows all needs updating.
* Needs larger cooking pots and silverware to prepare large meals.

My family and I visited the Elk Springs Resort Mountain View Mansion on this past Monday, September 27-29, 2021. We paid a total of 4,040.00. Although the view itself was spectacular, I was overall displeased with this stay. The primary reason was because I went into the master bedroom to get some rest for the night and when I pulled the blanket back I saw two large separate spots of a dry white substance which resembles semen.....I immediately began to question..,.if the blanket is dirty and not cleaned properly what else had dirt lurking around it. Earlier my mom said it was dead bugs and leaves everywhere and began sweeping....then she washed her linen because she said it smelled dirty before I found spots on my blanket. The bulbs in the bathroom had extreme amounts of dirt on them, and we were emailed by the office that the projector screen was not working in the pool area. In addition to all this, we went outside Monday night to use the fire pit and it was full of ash and dirt all around the pit we did not use it because no one wanted to clean the mess out after all we did pay a maintenance and cleaning bill. We called and left a message at the front office around 5:30pm about all the items above including electrical outlets that did not work in the kitchen counter when we tried to plug in devices.
They called back at 6:38pm saying they received the message but sent no one to the property. The next morning I called the office and reiterated what I mentioned above and added the new problem which was the possible semen on my sheets. Not ONE time did the person I spoke with apologize for the inconvenience. She just said she would send a team out to the property to address the issue and report it to management.! The maintenance staff Mark? And the housecleaning staff Loli ? Showed up at separate times around 1:00pm Tuesday to fix the issues mentioned above.
