'Blue Bayou' is a 6 bedroom, 3 bath single-family non-smoking home that can accommodate 14 guests comfortably. Located in a quiet family neighborhood Blue Bayou is perfect for families and friends who want to get together to relax and re-connect. It features two covered boat slips, a private swimming pool which can be heated, tasteful tropical décor, air conditioning, Free Wi-Fi, and the convenience of an elevator for those who are unable to navigate stairs or just want the convenience of bringing groceries and supplies quickly and effortlessly to the upper level.
The huge master suite includes 1 KING size bed, 1 FULL bed and a FULL bath with shower and 2 sinks as well as an enormous walk-in closet. The 2nd bedroom features 1 KING bed and overlooks the swimming pool. The 3rd bedroom features 1 QUEEN bed and opens to the sun porch and pool, while the 4th contains 1 QUEEN bed and 1 TWIN bed and looks out to the pool and bayou. The 5th bedroom features 1 FULL bed and 1 TWIN bed and is adjacent to the main level FULL bath. The 6th bedroom with 1 QUEEN bed opens to the pool. All bedrooms feature comfy, high quality bedding, ceiling fans and flatscreen TV's and each has been thoughtfully decorated and furnished with your comfortable vacation in mind. The 2nd FULL bathroom is equipped with a tub/shower and the 3rd main level FULL bath includes 2 sinks and an over-sized shower with double shower heads!
The home's spacious upper level features lots of windows and french doors that open to the Balcony overlooking the Pool and the Bayou. The tropical furnishings are casual and selected for your comfort and enjoyment. The fully equipped kitchen has Corian countertops, stove, refrigerator with in-door ice maker, dishwasher, microwave, a huge amount of cabinet storage and an eat-at counter for at least 12 people. A child high chair can be found in the Master walk-in Closet. All regular small appliances are included as well as extras such as a waffle-maker, slow-cooker and popcorn maker. The desk in the kitchen area features a list of services and activities available in the area and there is a cabinet stocked with books, movies, puzzles, games and playing cards. The two spacious living areas are complete with comfortable tropical furnishings, huge flat screen TV’s with DVD players, as well as on the lower level a Ping Pong table, and Playstation 2 with games. 'Blue Bayou' also features a convenient elevator that opens to either the Kitchen or the Master Suite.
There is a huge shaded upper balcony with plenty of relaxed seating, ceiling fans, gas grill and great views of the pool and Bayou. From the concrete sunning patio you can watch your kids playing and swimming in the pool or see fish or occasionally dolphins jumping in the Bayou. In addition to the lower covered decks next to the boat slips there is a cute covered waterfront 'shack' complete with counter top, running water and refrigerator. The 'shack' adjoins the HUGE built-in charcoal grill where you can grill your day's catch! This area also offers a nice gathering place in the shade and a casual outdoor dining table and umbrella next to the Bayou. We invite guests to bring their state license plate to date, sign and nail up in the party 'shack'. The waterfront also features two covered boat slips that will accommodate up to a 30 foot boat. There is a fish-cleaning station on the pier with a sink, running water and an area to filet your catch! Clean your fish, cook them on the grill and enjoy your meal sitting on the sheltered deck! There is lots of parking space for up to 6 cars and trailers in the large driveway and garage.
'Blue Bayou' is minutes by boat to the Gulf of Mexico. Cotton Bayou public beach access and the public boat launch are both 5 minutes away. There are also many miles of protected water and bays to explore with small boats, pontoons, and the 6 provided kayaks, complete with paddles and life jackets. Enjoy adventures leading to white sandy beach islands and waterfront restaurants like Tacky Jack's, Cobalt's, Lulu's and Pirate’s Cove!
Grocery and convenience stores such as Publix are very close and the outstanding Tanger Outlet mall is a 20 minute trip by car. There are all types of shopping, family activities, movies, and live concerts at the Wharf complex. The towns of Foley and Gulf Shores offer additional nearby entertainment and shopping experiences with outstanding restaurants in all directions. Visit the nearby quaint and historic antiquing town of Fairhope. You may want to venture further to explore Pensacola and Mobile, each about an hour away by car, or why not visit historic Fort Morgan which is about 30 miles west.

Had a great time! The house is well equipped with everything you need! They have starter stuff paper towels etc for you as well as hand soap. Kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare meals. It was the most well equipped rental I’ve ever stayed in everything from floats, and bikes to first aid kit!! If you are like me, you are researching 1000 properties trying to find the best one in your budget for your family. This is the one! The hosts are spectacular, the property is awesome and truly has everything you need. Out of 6 annual family vacays, this was the best! There is so much to do at the house and the beach was great! Just go by 10 am to get parking if you go to the closest one. We all had plenty of room even for 14 people. There were ample supplies of everything we needed, even bath towels! One of my favorite details was the amount of hooks to hang towels, swimsuits, etc., but there were so many moments that we said “I can’t believe they thought of that!” Book now, trust me, you will be so happy you did!

We have a family of 10: grandparents, siblings, cousins with ages 13-70. This home was perfect for all ages. It is incredibly clean, organized, well stocked and designed around family. Not only is the location and size great but Susan and Bill provided continuous support, resources and information to assist us in planning our annual vacation. One day was a “wash-out” due to torrential rain. Due to the numerous and various activities available, the day was loaded with fun. We can not say enough good about our trip, due in large to Susan, Bill, and the Blue Bayou!!

We had an excellent stay! We were able to have a place to dock our boat for easy access around Orange Beach. The house had plenty of comfortable beds and lots of outdoor sitting. Wonderful stay
Bill and Susan were wonderful hosts. This house was the most well stocked house that we have stayed in. We enjoyed the pool, fishing, kayaking, ping pong, basketball, bike riding and played several games provided. We loved that they provide beach chairs and umbrellas as well so that you don’t have to pack those bulky items. We had 9 people with more than enough space for everyone. Bill and Susan really want to make sure that your stay is perfect. I appreciated their communication and advice about where to eat. I was a little worried that driving to the beach would not be ideal, but it really is so close and an easy process. We often took multiple trips to the beach in one day. We will definitely consider staying there again if we return to the Orange Beach area.

Best Vacation "Home" Ever!
We have rented VRBO homes all over the country for many years now -- and this was, by far, the best in every way! We have five grown children - all men, ages 21 to 26, and sometimes we have some of their girlfriends along too, so as you can imagine, it takes quite a bit of space to house all of us for a family vacation! This house was not only a "home", but it was the PERFECT home for all of us! The pictures do not even do it justice (and they are beautiful!). It was roomy, comfortable, beautifully decorated, well-stocked for any occasion, every personal touch was done with warmth and style, it was refreshingly livable and perfectly laid out for a large family. The hosts were the best in every way - even had a large welcome note written on a marker board on the refrigerator and a personal arrival gift including a beautiful card where it was remembered that we had mentioned one of our sons is in the Navy - and he was thanked for his service! Imagine lighted (timer) candles flickering on the veranda overlooking the water upon arrival....and that was only the beginning! Every single moment of our stay was graced by the thoughtfulness of our hosts where every detail was considered and managed. Perfection! Thank you Bill and Susan - we will most definitely be back!

More than the usual
Our family group--consisting of my wife and I, some of our children and spouses and our eight grandchildren--thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Blue Bayou/Cotton Bayou rental. We've stayed at other beach rentals, but this was easily the most spacious one we've rented. We were impressed with the many items that were provided for our use, like the bikes, the basketball game in the garage, the inflatables for the pool, the kayaks, the beach wagons and chairs, the gas and charcoal grills, etc. We were also impressed with how responsive, friendly, and accommodating the owners Bill and Susan were to us. When we let them know that the cornhole game was missing a bag, they bought two new sets and shipped them to us. They also called us to see if there were anything we needed and they gave us some tips regarding the local restaurants. That was a first for us! Never happened at other places we stayed. As with nealy all rentals, some of the equipment was not in the best condition--unfortunately some renters are careless and wear and tear on equipment goes unreported. For example, one of the kayaks had a hole/leak and the straps for carrying the kayaks were broken or missing. We managed without the carrying straps. A couple of the burners on the gas grill wouldn't light,but we managed without them. Overall there was more space then usual and more equipment available for our use than usual. We really enjoyed our time at Orange Beach.

Greatest vacation ever
My family decided on a family vacation to get together and catch up on what each of us had been doing for the past year. Orange Beach was selected as a summer meeting place. I searched Vrbo for a home with a pool, near the beach and restaurants, and with a canal for the kids to fish. I found Blue Bayou and soon after talked to the owner, William. He went over the list of amenities and it all sounded great. We booked the facility and hoped for pleasant weather. Upon arrival to the home and checking the grounds, my jaw absolutely dropped. It was truly amazing. When the kids arrived they too were starry eyed. Pool..pier..ping pong..basketball game..kayaking..beach..stores..all as described. With so much to do, everyone went to bed exhausted every night. It was such a great home that my family decided that we had to return again next year to again take advantage of the offerings of the home and surrounding amenities. Absolutely loved the spacious home and our vacation. Great location too.

Perfect for our family
When the owners list the amenities and items at the house, they are 100% truthful. The kitchen has twice as much as mine, things well labeled, beach chairs and umbrellas all there, even 2 grills. The dock area, fish cleaning station and extra refrigerator were perfect for our fishing crazed grandson and the pool, just steps away, wonderful for the rest. We loved sitting on the porch, watching the activity in the canal, even if it was raining. We loved Blue Bayou!!

Wonderful property!
We had a fantastic time at Blue Bayou! We loved being able to keep our boat right there with us. The location was perfect- it took a few minutes to go through the canals and then you were out in Cotton Bayou with access to island beaches and restaurants on the water. The house was extremely clean, had plenty of rooms for everybody, and was extremely well stocked! It’s obvious the owners care about their property and they were able to be reached easily. Having the pool was fantastic and the outdoor area had a mix of sun and covered spaces which was nice when we had a day of rain. You won’t be disappointed. Thank you for a great week!

Back to the Blue Bayou
This Orange Beach, Alabama get away was the perfect spot for our family. This was our first visit to this area, and John/Susan B. were wonderful hosts. We talked with them before, during , and after our trip. They treated us like family, offered many suggestions for fun things to do in the area, places to eat, pontoon rentals and so much more. We love the beach, but we had a hard time leaving the Blue Bayou because there was so much there to do! We loved fishing off the dock, kayaking in the canals & bay, swimming in the pool, playing corn hole, riding the bikes to the donut shop, & the Surfboard/ring game. We loved catching Blue crabs and enjoyed Haddie the Heron visits. The home itself was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for the week: games, ping-pong, gaming system, kitchen was fully stocked with spices, coffee, tea, and more. The last day of our visit was special to us, because we decorated the dock
( btw, Bill has the dock decorated with fun lights - so cool to light it up every night) & we had PROM 2020 on the dock.
