Stayed a long weekend to fish the local rivers and chose Harold’s house. Great, great value for the price. Harold is super nice and the house was cool. I’m 6’6 tho and the shower is far too small. But it’s clean, 5 min from town. Would recommend.

Quaint little cottage, with all the amenities of home, and great location, close to town. Slept great in the comfortable bed. Full kitchen, cute sitting area as you enter the cottage. Kind and caring hosts.

What a lovely stay. Both the place and the hosts exceeded our expectations! Truly felt like we were living at home! The place had everything one needed for a comfortable stay. The sun room in the winter is lovely. The cabin is accessible and is located in delightful Red Lane a mere 2 1/2 miles from the Hot Springs State Park. Thermopolis is a gem. So much to offer in beauty, people and tempo. We will definitely be back and will recommend it to family and friends.

This property is located within literally a hundred interesting things to do and see. A world class dinosaur museum, hot springs park, hiking, buffalo, kayaking ,fishing, local history museum busting at the seams, the historic Safari Club, the One eyed buffalo restaurant, plus a full service grocery store with Deli, and great prices. The host family is gracious & helpful, plus the cabin is classy quaint! Everything you need to have a wonderful stay. The bed was comfortable, everything clean, plenty of air conditioning. Evening walks were cool. Wifi, plus Hulu, Disney plus, and a host of other streaming channels. (I even got to pet the little goats) Everything and everyone was great. The only thing I would change would be our timing, going in early spring, or late fall when the temps were cooler, instead of July.

Harold was great, very friendly and helpful. He even suggested a day trip that was a lot of fun. The cabin was great. It had comfortable beds, nice decorations. We would definitely stay here again.

Cozy Cabin
We enjoyed our stay. The property owner was very helpful. The cabin was clean, well equipped and comfy. Just a short drive to many area attractions and necessities such as gas and grocery. We were staying during a hunting trip and everything was great. The parking area is a little tight if you are pulling a trailer but if you are able to back up a trailer you won't have a problem. We had a great time!

Cute Property!

Cute Casita
Stayed in Thermopolis for a fishing tournament at Boysen Reservoir. Decided to go a day earlier and stay a day longer than we head originally scheduled. Harold and his wife were happy and more than willing to accommodate the two extra days. The casita was very clean and just as described in the listing. Harold and his wife are wonderful and had no problem meeting our needs. We would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. Thank you both for a wonderful stay!! We will be back!!

We booked this property based on its excellent reviews, and its description as quiet and rural. We were surprised to discover that the house is adjacent to busy Highway 20 - approximately 20 yards - and also near an active train track. The property is littered with trash and abandoned equipment, and it smells strongly of chicken manure and sulphur. The house is surrounded by several other houses and outbuildings, and there was not a “pasture” in sight. The house, while clean, was in rough shape, with holes in the wall, worn flooring, and an interior that feels cobbled together. I am 5’4 and had to duck to get under the shower head, and one doorway was barely taller than I am. When we calmly explained our inability to sleep due to constant highway noise and smell, and asked for the remaining night to be refunded due to the inaccurate property description, the owner refused a refund, raised his voice at us, and told us that we should not leave a negative review. We left a day early very disappointed (I will insert that the owner was initially friendly and also that we left at 2pm, which would have been too late for Harold to rebook; however, we felt we were due 1 night’s refund based on our experience). As experienced travelers both in the U.S. and abroad, we are befuddled by this property’s positive reviews and are disappointed by the owner’s hostile response. I wish VRBO would allow us to attach photos that show the true state of this property.
