I booked this trip away in early February, as I sat with my wife in the ICU at UNC Hospital while she was on life support fighting for her life. We always took a vacation the last week of May, and I was determined we still were. I immediately knew where we should go, back to the cabin we stayed in when we got married. Through the next hours, days, weeks, now months I have witnessed miracles in the healing of my beautiful wife. As we drove over the covered bridge and up the driveway to the cabin, tears flowed from her eyes. We stayed at the cabin most of the time, just relaxing and enjoying our time together. Sitting on the back deck listing to the stream was a favorite, as was the afternoon we spent at the NC Arboretum. This will always be a very special time, at a very special place to us. A true gift to us both, and I can not thank you enough for the opportunity to have been your guests. I am sure we will be back again.

We LOVED the home, location & ammenities. I travel a great deal, and there are many reasons that I loved this home.
The mattress, furniture, towels, cookware, utensils, toilet paper...all high quality. Not that horrible one-ply garbage. And the entire place, inside and out, clean and organized. We had the windows open the entire time and you can hear the river from everywhere in the house! So relaxing. Sleeping with that sound is the absolute BEST. A lot of the time, the actual listing isn't as 'great' as the pictures show - but this one nailed it. What you see is what you get and you will love it.
Top notch communication with the property manager. There was only one 'issue', if you want to call' it that, was the barking dogs. The visitors before us noted the dogs in the guest book, as well, but I didn't see it anywhere else in the book, so I am assuming this is a temporary issue. It's far enough away not to drive you crazy & it's only during the day, but still loud enough that you hear it. No fault of the property owners/management. Maybe someone on vacation and their dogs are out during the day alone?
Also - the location is awesome. Close to Asheville & the Blue Ridge Parkway. There is endless things to do. We liked to venture out once a day, but mainly stayed at the cabin because it's so amazing - hot tub, river, fire pit, deer, etc. Fabulous!! We plan to return this autumn.

What a wonderful anniversary trip! My husband and I enjoyed the peacefulness of the cabin and its surroundings. Coffee each morning on the porch and relaxing each evening to the sounds of the stream below was amazing! The house was very inviting and cozy! We appreciate the quick attention of the host to respond to our messages and needs!

This property gave me the exact break from work that I needed. From spending mornings with coffee and a book with the sound of the stream to afternoons walking the trails to evenings catching up on movies (after some time in the hot tub), I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I particularly liked the fact that the two balconies and the firepit area gave me a variety of places to sit and relax. The fact that I didn't have to drive anywhere to enjoy walking through the woods was great, too. I could easily see myself coming back again when I have some time off.

Cabin is amazing! The 2 porches were very nice. Especially the large porch on the back facing the creek. We enjoyed listening to the water flowing along. Furniture was very comfortable. Living room furniture was so comfy and perfect for reading or watching tv. Cabin was very clean. We did not use the hot tub.

This was our second time staying here. It's just as beautiful and relaxing as the first. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend away for some R&R.

This was a short stay for us, but the cabin was better than advertised. The rooms were smartly laid out, and their was everything one would need. After a couple of long days driving & exploring the Blue Ridge Parkway and surrounding areas, it was nice to come back for a good soak in the hot tub. Tammy is very responsive and made sure our stay was great!

Wow this place is amazing. I stayed here during my solo trip to NC and I looked forward to ācoming homeā to relax in this cozy peaceful place every night. The calming sound of the stream below, birds chirping was just the thing. . Tammy the host was great! In the middle of getting ready to venture out to my Biltmore excursion I heard a loud bang out by the road and then the power went out. I immediately messaged Tammy and she reported the issue. A few minutes after pulling out of the driveway, I passed the lineman truck and the power was back on shortly. Except for my hair being a little wild, it was all good.
I sincerely hope to return again. I lived every moment and every detail.

We really enjoyed our stay in the cabin. We loved how remote it felt and it was a perfect location for doing outdoor activities/hikes and city activities while we were in town. I highly recommend if you and your partner are wanting something private but not too far from things.
The space was very clean and well taken care of and all around wonderful! The host was always responsive when we had any questions, Tammy was very accommodating. We would love to stay again in the future!

Everything was wonderful, except for the hot tub. The hot tub was set at 92 and so we had to wait to enjoy sitting under the stars. The cabin was very clean and the bedroom was very inviting with the views of the creek. The back porch swings and rocking chairs were a plus. We also enjoyed the fire pit and the trail behind the cabin.

The cabin was wonderful. Reminded me of going back in time to a quaint cottage in the woods with all the modern conveniences. We dragged a chair that was in the creek up to the fire pit area, and left the house immaculate to show how appreciative we were for our stay. I promise anyone who rents this cabin will not be dissatisfied. It was a fairy tale Christmas. Thank you for a wonderful memory.

The beautiful creek wraps around 2 sides of the cabin. We really enjoyed the fire pit area that overlooks the creek. The 'bedroom ' doesn't have a door and that may be an issue for some. A few minor problems were resolved quickly by the owner. We would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend and really enjoyed it. It felt very cozy and secluded, and we loved sitting on the deck listening to the rain. So peaceful!
The bed and pillows were very comfortable. I did not realize it was a studio, but it was nice that there were curtains to close off the sleeping side of the cabin.
Like others have said, the barking dogs at the neighbors were a bit of a nuisance during the day. Overall, it was a really nice stay.

This may have been the best cabin I've stayed in. It felt very secluded while still being a short distance from the city.
I stayed here with my wife and we had so much fun.
There were only a few minor things we found in our stay that were not issues but not what we expected.
There is a gravel road leading up to the paved drive that was hard to see our first night because it was all one large puddle from the rain. The neighborhood dogs also barked all morning, if you are a light sleeper it might become a bother. In the end these were minor inconveniences for us.

My wife and I loved our stay. It was our anniversary and we wanted to just kick back and relax away from the hustle and bustle. This place is secluded and quiet most of the time (barking dogs were a little annoying) but the sound of the nearby creek was the ticket. We spent nearly all of our time at the fire pit relaxing, listening to water cascading over the rocks; so very relaxing. We will be back.

Beautiful ,comfortable home . The deck was amazing to sit and listen to the creek. We didnāt get to enjoy the fire pit and chairs much because of rain but itās really nice and the hot tub was great.. The only thing that wasnāt perfect was the neighbors dogs barking which I know you have no control over. But the place is beautiful and still give it 5 stars

My wife and I absolutely loved this cabin, will definitely be back and recommend it to our friends. It was very clean, well kept and welcoming. Check in, and out, was easy without any hiccups. Close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and to downtown Asheville as well for those who may want to leave nature for a short time. 5-star all the way!
