About this apartment rental
This is a 1200 sqare foot, newly refurbished spacious 3 bed, 2 bath condo (see video above)with a 2nd floor uninterrupted ocean view. You can sleep 8 people (this means 8 individuals, children or adults, regardless of age) comfortably in this extremely well equipped condo. Just bring yourselves - everything else is here! This is a very quiet, small, and well maintained condo complex ideally located on a peaceful strip of Coco Plum beach in Marathon, Florida Keys, just north of Marathon airport. *During hurricane season (Jun. 1st - Nov. 30th) booking cancellation due to weather will earn a full refund.* VACA-20-596

The property was quiet and comfortable. Just about the halfway point between Key Largo and Key West. Pool was never overcrowded. Could go relax without dozens of people being out there

This place is WONDERFUL!!! If a comfortable and relaxing place to stay is what you're looking for, this is it!!! Our family of 5 (dad, mom, kids aged 18, 14, and 13) visited for almost a full week. There was plenty of space to stretch out and everything we needed included. Waking up every morning with AMAZING views of the beautiful beach (and pool) was just what we were looking for! It is on the 3rd floor with only stair access, but carrying groceries up some steps was a small price to pay for everything else the apartment offers. Situated at the beginning of Marathon, there are all of the stores, restaurants, gas stations, and activities you could need located right there in the area. Whether you want to grab some ice cream, do a round of miniature golf, spend the day out fishing, or hit a jet ski adventure you can find something for everyone close by. The beach outside the apartment was great for fishing, looking for hermit crabs, and waiting. We found the best beach swimming, though, at the state park about 25 mins south (Sandspur Beach was gorgeous). And, with Key West about an hour away from the apartment, you can still day trip there and enjoy everything KW has to offer too! Personally, we've stayed at Key West 2 or 3 times now. This trip, we were looking for something a little different, but still close enough that we could enjoy a couple of our favorite spots at KW! And that is exactly what we got!! Would recommend for all!! We plan on returning again next year!!

The condo was very clean and we enjoyed our stay! The condo supplied beach chairs, umbrella, cooler, etc… which was awesome! My kids loved the pool, we spent many hours there! We were a bit disappointed in the beach at the condo, since that was one of our main decisions in choosing this particular condo, and no washer & dryer in our condo. The beach had loads of seaweed and is not a beach you want to swim or snorkel at with kids. The washer & dryer is located by the office and requires quarters. We ended up having to drive to Sombrero beach and Bahia Honda State park beach and those beaches were very nice with great snorkeling as well!

We vacationed with our adult children, 7 adults in all. We all were immediately impressed as we walked in the door. Beautiful view off the balcony, nicely decorated island vibe, spacious and very clean! The unit really met our needs with the bedroom layout, comfortable beds, two nice bathrooms, and full kitchen.
The location was perfect. We enjoyed Marathon, Bahia Honda, Islamorada, John Pennekamp, Key West and the views in between.
Communication before and during was very good, afterward was so very appreciated. We did not realize a few bags of souvenirs and a sentimental necklace were left behind. Angela texted shortly after we left to let us know they were found before we even realized they were missing. What started as a "bucket list" vacation is now a family favorite. We look forward to coming back.

Beautiful view. Keith was amazing and helpful. Condo was clean and had lots of beach chairs and items to use. Lots of beds and comfortable. Porch was amazing to have morning coffee with the view of the ocean and pool.

It was a nice property. It was clean and quiet and the view was amazing. The 3rd bedroom is a child’s bedroom, so it’s more like a 2 bedroom unless you have kids under 10. The location and view more than made up for the sleeping arrangements. We would stay again if we have a smaller party. Owners and property management were wonderful.

This was our very first trip to the keys and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. We were celebrating our sons highschool graduation. The pool and ocean view was breath taking. We loved how quiet the community is. It is perfectly located for a drive to the northern keys or the southern keys. Thank you for a pleasant first trip to the keys.

Meagan the property manager was prompt to respond. The best location I have stayed in the keys! Cannot recommend more. Plenty of room for everyone. The condo also had a closet full of fishing gear!

Check in was very easy. Condo was clean and well stocked with everything needed to live there. We were happy to see beach chairs and an umbrella available for our beach excursions. The condo was very comfortable and homey. We loved the artistic and eclectic furntiture and decorations. The view was beautiful, the beach in front of the house was ok, not as clean as I'd like but still beautiful. After reading about the area, we understand the balance of nature. We went to other beaches that were lovely also, especially Bahia Honda State Park. The condo development was very quiet also, The pool was nice and clean also.
Just one improvement point: The sheets and towels had high laudry fragrance, My body reacted to it which doesn't usually happen. I had to buy some benadryl to ward of the itchiness.
Overall it was really nice and if we ever visit the Keys again, I would definitely return.

The condo was just great! perfect for the extended family getaway. And Meghan was wonderful, especially with our plans changing a couple of times before arrival. She helped me through all that and we had a wonderful 10 days in paradise!

The condo was exactly as shown in the picture, but actually was larger than expected. Top notch ground and pool facilities. Extremely clean and quiet.

We have stayed in this unit before and were very satisfied with it both times. The condo was very clean and everything we needed was provided. The view is amazing We highly recommend this property. This place presents just as it is pictured. The condo was comfortable and well stocked. The air-conditioner stopped working but Meghann (property manager and Kevin (maintenance guy) were on top of it until it was fixed. We appreciated their quick responses.
Pool is great/ not much beach area-lots of trash. In fact as a whole we were disappointed in the beaches at the Keys.

A few things need corrected to make the condo more comfortable -
1) single bed that is along wall needs adjusted. No reason to have to climb over someone to get out of bed. The mattress need replaced ASAP. The foam add on is the cheap way out.
2) The twin bed slats fell completely onto the floor and would not stay in place. The mattress had to be put on the floor to be used.
3) Small ants invaded the kitchen every night and all bags of chips, bread, cereal had to be put in the fridge. Maintenance never showed up to correct the problem when addressed.
4) Add tvs to all the bedrooms.
5) upgrade the couches. They are worn,old and ready to move on.
6) the A/C was way to high and the condo was hot when we arrived. It took all night to cool.
7) Light switches turn nothing on in the bedrooms
8) just make a binder for the rules. The entire condo did nothing but make fun of all the notes and rules everywhere. It felt like we were in pre school.
9) Have daily towel exchange even if it costs more.

We had a great time, very clean, very nice. I would suggest noting it is a 3rd floor unit with no elevator access, if someone had a disability, they would have never made it.

The condo itself was ok. I would not recommend this complex for families with children. I was disappointed in how dirty the beach was.

My family and I had a wonderful time at this property. With three kids, we really appreciated the spacious condo and plenty of beds (including giving my teen his own room). The pool was excellent--big, sparkling clean, and warm. The ocean views from this unit were astounding. We knew what we were getting into in terms of the beach (it's not our first time to Marathon), so the seaweed didn't throw us. We appreciated how far we could go out in the ocean and still have it be shallow. The grounds were pretty and well-maintained, and my kids enjoyed the tennis court. Beyond the property, we enjoyed the aquarium, the Dolphin Research Center, Crane Point Nature Center, and local restaurants. There are so many open-air options in terms of attractions and dining. We hope to come back to the Royal Plums for our next Keys trip!

Was very pleasantly surprised with our unit!! It was so homey and decorated so uniquely!! The veiw was spectacular and the Ocean, Beach, and pool were so inviting you couldn't resist sitting out on the balcony! We left our patio doors open as the sound of the waves made us feel like our room was part of nature!! What a stress release. I have highly recommend this unit to several of our friends. We have had multiple inquiries after seeing our posts on Facebook. Only bit of a down side was the Mattresses in the back bedrooms. They could stand updating but wouldn't let that be a decision maker. We loved our stay!!!

We had such a great week with our 2 college aged kids. So much space in the condo. Loved the location. Beautiful night walks on the beach... was perfect! We had everything we needed from beach towels to coffee maker. Would highly recommend staying here and would stay here again if we are ever back down in Marathon. Also very wonderful booking experience. Very responsive owners made it very easy to schedule a relaxing vacation. Thank you!

This condo has a good location with a nice view of the pool and ocean beyond. There were always wonderful breezes so we kept cool in the 80 degree weather. The condo is decorated insort of a beach shabby chic and while it is funky, the decor grew on my husband and I in our week long visit. All other residents of the condo were friendly and we found many good places to dine out. I'm very picky about cleanliness and I found this unit to be clean. Even though we were in the Florida Keys, we never saw an offensive bug in our unit or anywhere around the grounds. The grounds keeper does a great job of upkeep and the office manager was friendly.
