Lovely Vermont inn!

Breakfast was excellent! Our room was very comfortable, and the location was perfect for our trip to Manchester.

Would have liked to stay longer. Such a pretty area, and great place to stay!

We didn't stay for beakfast. Owner gave use some donuts for the trip though!

Superb

The breakfast options were really good. We really enjoyed our stay with all the little touches in the decor and friendly environment. Especially the dogs!!

Just adding a full length mirror to the room.

The Barnstead Inn has an excellent location and beautiful accommodations.

Loved the Dogs! Very relaxed atmosphere.

The breakfast was excellent but they could have offered more selection. Muffins, croissants, fruit, oatmeal etc. Something that would not require more kitchen staff.

Highly recommend.

Charming in so many ways. Close proximity to dining, shopping, and activities. Excellent homemade breakfast. By far, the cleanest place I have ever stayed. Owners/staff are friendly and accommodating. Enjoyed the two resident dogs (King and Lucky).

I expect a little noise when staying in an inn, due to the shared walls/spaces. I would prefer the top floor next time because you could hear people speaking and walking upstairs. Again, I was aware of this when booking an "Inn".

Can' wait to go back same time next year

This is a wonderful place to stay. The hosts are truly gracious and can't do enough for you. Fabulous breakfasts! Great lite bite menus if you want. The vibe is very friendly and you it's easy to fall into conversation with the other guests around the firepits and in the cozy public spaces. The dogs are amazing! Super accommodating and a definite repeat for next year.

I am confident that anyone that chose to stay there would be impressed with everything.

Breakfast was very good and more than enough. Coffee was always available. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. The conveniences that they had in the house made it possible so that we did not have to go out at night.

Although a room was more than expected we were on the third floor a bit of a hike.

Old renovated farmhouse in idyllic setting, close to many attractions.

Each day a made to order breakfast was offered. BTW, the corned beef hash was exceptional! Clean and recent renovations made this a beautiful property that is family run. We will be back.

Owner's dogs allowed to roam breakfast area. Although very adorable and well behaved, I would have preferred them to not be around food areas. Just my personal preference. May be a put off for folks with pet allergies.

Delightful, comfortable, unique; we will definitely be back!

The rooms were so tastefully decorated, as well as the lounge and bar area. You will never meet a friendlier host, so genuine and accommodating. The property is adorable and very close to town. Breakfast in the morning is so tasty and fresh, not your run of the mill hotel breakfast. You can tell great care and thought was put into the details here, and it definitely makes the an enjoyable, memorable stay.

The hot water never got really hot, but I love my shower excessively hot. The rooms are not super sound proof, you can hear muffled conversations and footsteps over head. It is an old renovated building, so some of that is to be expected.

wonderful stay!

The Barnstead Inn is a marvelous place to stay! The property is well kept, clean and has nice areas for people to gather and enjoy a drink, breakfast or just relax. it was probably the nicest place we stayed during our week in Vermont. the staff is friendly and works hard to create an wonderful experience. property is close to downtown and walkable distance. We discovered many of the restaurants closed Monday-Wednesday so plan accordingly. we were disappointed the Hildene House was closed on the days we were there.

one night they had a chef come to the property to serve dinner. the only complaint I had was I thought meal was a bit overpriced for what we got. but hey… we’re on vacation.

Accommodating. Clean. Beautiful. Pleasant.

Don't even know where to begin, everything about this stay was perfect! Even with the inn being fully booked, the owners were always around and available to help with any needs/questions. They really care about their guests, and you feel like family when you stay with them. The rooms at Barnstead are gorgeous, newly remodeled and very clean. Good AC which is important for hot summer days. The property is beautiful and has a few different sitting areas to relax at. Especially loved sitting at the fire pit with coffee in the mornings and a drink from the bar at night. Pool is clean and refreshing, the property is well taken care of. Barnstead is close enough to town to walk to some of the nearby shops, but is also a short drive away from hiking trails and more "off the beaten track" areas. Will definitely have to go back to my new favorite place!

Good

Cozy and spacious rooms walking distance to the village and close to several ski resorts. The owner and staff were very welcoming and kind. Amazing home made breakfast included. Nice fire pit to enjoy your drinks.

WiFi connection was not strong. One of the rooms we stayed in needed renovation. Bar closed at 9pm. No room service. Mattress was on the stiff side. But overall charming place and would return again.

Stylish interior design. Staffs are friendly and my favorite staff Lucky works very hard from morning to nigh😉 Near to Stratton ski resort, nice location
