There is a large refrigerator, a microwave and a dishwasher. Cable TV, streaming services (login not included), and free WiFi are also available.
Plenty of beautiful beaches are within a 15-min drive such as Kamakhonu and Magic Sands beaches. We had a wonderful stay. This house is located in a gated community, which is very quiet. The house was well stocked with plenty of towels and bedding. Josephine was very responsive to any of my questions and concerns. I would definitely recommend this home for any families looking to stay in the Kona area. Very close to downtown Kona and a great central location.

We were here to have a relaxing time and see the sites/beaches/restaurants/hikes/parks - that we did. However, the house to us was not comfy. The couches were made up of a frame with particle board piece laying on top and cushion on top - very uncomfortable! This was the case for Both inside and outside furniture. Beds were very hard and not comfy. Pillows were ok. The only comfy place was out on the lanai, sitting on the tickets. E writhing else was clean - although the tiny single person shower in the massive master bath had us shaking our head as it was very claustrophobic. Lots of condiments and supplies along with very clean home was enjoyed by all.

My coworkers and I had an event and we stayed with Josephine! It was a beautiful house and she was a great host!

We stayed 3 nights. I really liked the neighborhood, very quiet, great views. This property is very roomy, nice layout. I loved the lanai. The kitchen is well appointed and well stocked with staples, which is nice. The furnishings are on the cheaper side. The patio couch is incredibly uncomfortable. Honestly just needs new cushions. Kitchen is a little beat up but nothing terrible.
The best part is the location. It’s a short drive to Alii drive and downtown Kona but it is so nice to be out of the fray. Safeway is close, which is convenient. Good base for trip to Kona.

We loved the fresh mangos off the tree! I do wish the kitchen would have had some more amenities, but overall it was fine. I would have also liked a little more seating in the living room so everyone (6) could have sat and visited. We did have a wonderful time.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at this house in Kailua-Kona. The house was exactly as advertised; the house was clean, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen well-stocked, etc. We also loved coffee on the lanai for sunrise and drinks on the lanai for sunset. Josephine was extremely responsive and readily available,, and she even accommodated us with a late afternoon checkout. We'll stay here again next time we're in Kona.

I LOVED this house. When I was narrowing down my choices of where to stay, I had queried the owner about amenities and expected to hear back within 24 hours -- Josephine answered me in less than 20 minutes. On a Sunday morning. I booked with her right then and could not have been happier with my choice.
The house is spacious, as are the patio and yard, with amazing views downslope to the ocean and up and down the coast. Sunsets to die for. My mom is a bird nut, so she had plenty of new ones to identify and observe (she'd never been to Hawaii). The neighborhood is quiet, the neighbors are friendly and every once in a while you're softly serenaded by someone's cow a block or two away at feeding time, which we thought was hilarious.
Please keep in mind that this is someone's home and not one of the hotels out in town, so some of the towels and dishes don't match. Big whoop. But they have stocked it chock-full of every kitchen appliance you could need and there are beach supplies in the garage for your use.
Overall, I can't say enough good things about our stay or the owner, who was lovely to deal with throughout. I will absolutely try to book my next big island trip to correspond with when this property is available!

Great location, fine home
My family and I booked this home as we needed a place to stay while in town to attend my Grandpa’s funeral. We had adequate space, privacy, even enjoyed a mango or two from the tree out front. Great sized home that can accommodate 10+ for a casual hang.

Large modern house in excellent location
Overall my family was comfortable but we found lack of maintenance such as broken screen door and bathroom shower missing half of sliding door should have been repaired. House was tidy on arrival, but could benefit from a professional deep cleaning.
Hostess was available to answer any questions we had.

Perfect spring break
Lovely house! We enjoyed our stay in Kona for our family’s spring vacation. The house is well equipped, comfortable beds, located close to Kona downtown and its beaches. It was amazing to wake up to the stunning views from the house! It is a great place to relax and the owner was kind, responsive, and gave us great recommendations for the area. Highly recommended, mahalu!

Perfect Location!
The location of this property is ideal! Having stayed in Keahou and Kealakekua Bay areas on previous trips, it was wonderful to be feel 'in the center' of things. An easy drive north for the beaches, south for snorkeling, and close to town for eating out or picking things up. The gated community the house is in was quiet, safe, and the neighbours we met were friendly.
The home itself was as advertised/reviewed and had a well stocked kitchen, plenty of bath and beach towels. The two singles, queen, king bed arrangement was ideal for our family. The view from the lanai overlooking the town of Kailua-Kona was wonderful. Checking in was straight forward and the opportunity for a later check-out greatly appreciated. Thanks Josephine for the checking in on us along the way and the use of your home! Aloha!

Just what we were looking for
Great location - 5 minutes or less to town and in a gated community, so quiet and secure. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds very comfortable. The key to a top-notch VRBO stay is the host. We discovered an issue with the BBQ and Josephine had it replaced with a new one - on a Sunday!
We paid $4.00 for a lime and I'm sure Josephine would have helped with that if she could.

Great Place
Lovely place overall. Was great for 6 of us. Bedrooms, kitchen, and living areas are plenty spacious, and the lanai is fantastic. Was especially nice for one of our members who has a disability since there's maybe only one tiny step to go up, but otherwise everything is flat and plenty accessible. Because of the location though, you get lovely sunset views looking down to the water. All of the amenities were exactly as described and there's everything that you'll need to enjoy your time on the island (beach towels, etc.). Parking is also easy and safe as it's a private residence in a quiet gated neighborhood. Just a few things to note in case you're considering this property for your stay: the house is a way up a steep hill, so unless you're really fit it's not really walkable to anything in the area (just a 5 minute drive though to practically everything in town); this is a charming well-loved home and with that comes a few little quirks (i.e. sliding door off the one bedroom that easily falls off the track--easy enough to put back on though). Overall, a great place (with a very responsive host!) that you should definitely consider for your stay.

Beautiful home with a fantastic view
The home is located in a lovely gated community. Very quiet. The lanai and backyard had a gorgeous view of the ocean.
The master bedroom is huge with a really nice bathroom
The second bedroom is nice with a very large closet
The third bedroom was small and while it would be great for small children it was a bit cramped for two adults ( we did kinda knew that by the the descr

Wonderful week in Hawaii!
We loved our stay in this home. We were a group of four friends, and this 3 bedroom home accommodated all of us easily. The beds were very comfortable and the bedrooms are situated so that everyone had their privacy and quiet when they were not in the main rooms. The open living/dining room gave us plenty of space on the days we needed to get some work done. Hands down our favorite space was the lanai, so perfect for early morning coffee, lounging, evening cocktails. The view out to the ocean is so beautiful and we enjoyed using the binoculars to spot whales and watch the sunset in the evenings. The neighborhood is a very quiet, residential neighborhood, we didn't run into that many people but everyone we did meet was very nice and welcoming. The AC stopped working a couple of days in to our trip and the owners were very quick to respond and had someone out the next day to fix it. Thank you for a wonderful place to stay on Hawaii!

Great location
Pros:
This place was a in a perfect location. It’s a very nice gated neighborhood that is quiet but still close to downtown Kona. The house is big and the lanai (as mentioned by others) is beautiful and perfect for starting and ending the day. The place has the basic utensils and kitchen stuff needed. The host is super nice and easy to communicate with.
Cons:
The house needs a lot of updates and is very basic. The screens and blinds are outdated and don’t work. The screen door is dented so it doesn’t close all the way. The blinds that another reviewer mentioned were going to be updated, still haven’t been and blinds fell off, wouldn’t close, etc. The shower door in the bathroom with a tub only has one door and it doesn’t work. The furniture is not comfortable (it’s all wicker). They don’t provide toiletries so bring your own. The WiFi had issues and it’s suuuper slow so it’s hard to do any work if you’re working remotely.
All in all, if you’re looking for a basic place that is large, close and quiet, this place is great! We didn’t spend much time here since we were out and about all day long so it worked just fine for us. Would have loved it if it was a little nicer but it worked.

Ohana House
Spacious, comfortable house. Great view, quiet neighborhood and conveniently close to the airport, the village and an enormous grocery store. For our multi-generational group, the layout of the house was perfect since bedrooms are separated from each other and common areas. Overall a great place to relax.

Great Location
Had a great stay at this location. Just like in the pictures. The place has a lot of the beach stuff like chairs, boogie boards, snorkel gear so that was an amazing bonus. Property is a bit older but we came to the big island to be outside, we didn't cook here but the place has everything needed. Owners had very fast efficient communication and would recommend.

A lovely spot to stay in Kona
We really enjoyed our hours spent on the lanai with the oceanview. And it was so easy to get to our favorite beaches -- ABay, Hapuna, Spencer and upnorth to Hawi and Pololu Lookout.

Location, location!
We had a fabulous trip staying In Mululani Green Haven. It was so close to everything in Kona and the location allowed us to miss so much of the traffic that we had to navigate through the other time we came to the big island. The convenience to grocery, water refills at WalMart, and easy access to Ali'i drive made this a fantastic choice. The neighborhood was quiet and tidy. I can't say enough good things about it. Also having the space of 3 bedrooms was wonderful!
The main suggestion I have is to replace screens and some of the windows. We tried not to use the A/C more than necessary, but because some of the windows were hard to open and the screens had holes, we weren't able to cool the house off enough at night, so we ended up closing it up before we went to bed and relying on the A/C. Also some of the blind slats would fall down when we opened or closed them, and we had to pop them back into place. Also one of the burners on the stove was broken. Overall, these were minor details and we greatly enjoyed our stay. Josephine was great! She checked on us and was responsive to questions. I loved working with her. We would stay again! Awesome views also, and the lanai was fairly private. Excellent overall.

Perfection in Malulani Gardens!
House and location were wonderful. Furnishings were great and the view also. Communications with owner/manager were excellent from booking to checkout. Mahalo for letting me use your home for some of our wedding guests 😊

Great place for a multigenerational family trip
Our group of six ( two grandparents, mom and dad, two children age 3 and 4) greatly enjoyed this lovely home. The lanai was fantastic with great views of the ocean and sunset. We spent all of most of our time out there, making use of the bbq and the outdoor living area. The yard was very safe for the children with a good high fence and room to run and play. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was very well stocked with spices, condiments, coffee, etc. The beach chairs and outdoor gear was appreciated. The cupboards need to be repaired, but the owners have plans to make these repairs. I would recommend this house to families or groups.

Nice view. Great porch. Quiet
The porch makes the place worth it. Neighbors were nice but moving. Not a place for loud folks. Had everything and more.

Great host, great location.
The location is a short drive to the historical / beach areas. It is quiet and well kept by the host. Josephine was responsive to my questions and knowledgeable about the area.

Beautiful home, ideal location.
We, five people spanning three generations of a family, spent a week in this beautiful home in Kailua-Kona. Our original goal was to use it as a base for exploring the west side of Hawai’i: night snorkelling with mantas, day snorkelling off the beaches, exploring the petroglyphs up North, learning about Hawai’ian culture, and, of course, eating local food.
Our hopes were more than met - Josephine’s home was in an ideal location for us, in a quiet, private community, yet with quick access to shopping (Walmart is a 5 minute drive, downtown about 10) for food and other supplies.
For longer trips, we could be on the highway in a few minutes, for destinations either south or north, launching us on our out-of-town adventures.
The home’s three bedrooms gave us privacy when needed, and the lanai let us hang out together, enjoying the ocean view and the visitations of various birds and the occasional gecko. On the few days that we stayed home, the air-conditioning kept us cool and let us catch up on our sleep.
The house was clean, quiet, and spacious. It was equipped with everything we needed, other than our food, including barbeque, swim fins and beach chairs. It even has a mango tree, which on occasion dropped fruit onto the driveway, and which we, of course, ate for dessert.
I have no reservations in highly recommending this rental home.

Awesome location and comfortable place to stay
The house is very conveniently located near Kailua-Kona. As mentioned in the description, the view from the back lanai is amazing - a great spot for viewing the sunset! The house worked very well for me, my husband, and our 1.5 yo daughter. The open kitchen/dining room/living room area was great for our daughter to play in and the bedrooms were nice. The A/C also worked well and we used it to cool down the house at night.
Josephine was an awesome host: responsive, nice, and flexible. We requested an early check-in (in the end, we didn't actually make there early) and a late check-out (to let our daughter take a nap at the house before heading out to the airport), and Josephine was kind enough to grant us both.
As mentioned by some of the other reviewers, the house does need some basic maintenance (e.g., the screen doors were tricky to use, the sliding shower door over the tub didn't work, and some of the surfacing on the kitchen cabinets was falling off. That being said, we weren't too bothered by these little issues.
I would happily stay at this place again!

Fit our needs perfectly
Location is excellent for Kailua-Kona---it's close to many activities. The house is clean, roomy, and well stocked. The three bedrooms worked well for my husband and me, and our daughter and her family. Our little granddaughter loved the lanai. Josephine was quick to reply when we had questions or concerns. The house is tricky to find the first time; keep driving up and up with some zig zags.

Great Location
The location of this rental was perfect, shopping and restaurants nearby, beach close and within driving distance to major site seeing. The beds were comfortable and the home was adequately stocked with the things we needed. It was nice to have access to beach chairs, snorkels, and even a stroller!

17 day stay in Paradise.
Great location, quiet neighbourhood, accommodations perfect for 5 adults. House was a little tired looking, in need of a good deep cleaning and needs fresh paint, blinds and fans need to be cleaned. Had a chance to point this out to owners as they live on mainland and maybe not aware of "tiredness" of property. Found owners very cooperative and easy to work with so I am sure they will address the cleaning issues. We really loved our stay there and would book there again in future and for sure recommend.

views of Kona Town and ocean breezes!
the house is centrally located in a nice gated community. Was well stocked and clean. Lanai offered great view of Kona and cool ocean breezes. Landlord kind enough to let us in house before formal rental period started so we could put groceries in refrigerator. Would surely rent from Josephine again. House served 5 adults well. Two of three bedrooms have an ocean view.
