About this cottage rental
This Caribbean Cottage features an Open Concept design with a Vaulted wood beam ceiling, and two patio door walkouts. One patio door leads to the screened in porch with a white round table and 2 comfortable sling back chairs. We also have 2 folding chairs overlooking your own private garden and sitting area with a hammock and two south beach chairs. The other Patio Door leads to the barbecue deck off the kitchen and two more chairs and an outdoor end table. The screened in porch has a view of Flowering Shrubs (Beauganvalie & Hibiscus), Palm Trees, Mahogany Trees & other Mature Trees to provide a shaded area to relax on the Hammock or put you feet up on the Ottoman while sitting in our South Beach Chairs in the garden.
The interior features vaulted caribbean wood beamed ceilings painted white, 12 x 12 Italian Porcelain Tiles throughout. Decorated by an interior designer for Optimum functionality. Their is a new wooden platform bed and super comfortable mattress. The Bed Frame is Cherry Wood with 2 drawers at the foot of the bed. We buy our mattresses from Donna at Island Furniture. She provides the same mattresses to the multi million dollar beach villa's. So you will sleep well.
We removed the traditional closet and had a professional install an IKEA PAX Closet Organizer so you can unpack your suitcase and easily view your clothing and put in on a shelf, hanger or in a drawer, whichever your prefer. There is also a full length mirror in the bedroom by the closet organizer and a 2nd mirror in the bathroom above the vanity. There are lots of plugs so while one person is showering the other can be blow drying there hair in front of the full length mirror. There is a 3rd mirror by the sleeper sofa if there is a 3rd person.
There is 1 Queen Bed with 2 drawers in the foot board and 1 Queen Sofa Bed. This a Studio Guest Cottage. Open Concept with a 3 Piece Bathroom, separate shower, vanity sink, toilet, window and cabinet. Furnished by Island Furniture and this high quality Sunbrella Slip Cover Sofabed are the same type you see at high end beach villas. There are 2 of them upstairs in the main house. If you have a big group coming you may want to rent Sweet Escape Villa & Guest Cottage and sleep 6 in private bedrooms and up to 6 on queen sofabeds. We also manage other villa's and help arrange weddings and honeymoons, excursions, boat rentals and more. Just ask Katherine.
We recently moved the half wall to the left 16" to make room on each side of the bed, to have a night stand. So it is no longer pushed against the half wall with the white shelving unit. So the Stanley Day Bed has been replaced by a luxurious slip cover queen sleeper sofa so you can relax on the sofa or use a TV tray to eat and watch your favorite show or post your photos on your laptop.
A Smart TV is mounted in the corner up high so that you can watch it from the bedroom area and the living room area as well as the kitchen. The Kitchen has white cabinets, gorgeous black, gold & silver granite countertop, undermount sink with a modern Moen Faucet with Sprayer, large fridge with freezer, stove with 4 burners, an oven & broiler, toaster oven, coffee maker, tea kettle, blender, microwave, pots and pans, cutlery, dishes, mugs and glasses and tupperware to pack in your cooler for a picnic or to take to the beach. We also provide 2 coolers one large and one smaller.
The Bathroom has wall to wall 8 x 16" White Ceramic Tiles from the floor to the ceiling. Then we added a 4" Cobalt Blue Accent Band horizontally around the room, through the shower and window sill. We installed "no slip" cobalt blue mini tiles on the floor of the shower. Easy to keep clean, bright and gorgeous.
White bath towels, hand towels, facecloths and High Quality White linens provided.
We also installed a new Screened In Porch System, new window screens and door to your garden area and driveway.
Weber Spirit Barbecue with Cast Iron Skillet in the middle. Also propane tanks provided. There is also a full spare.
White Igloo Cooler, Fashionable Beach Towels for you to use on the property or in the rental car to the beach or just exploring. We recommend keeping you cooler full of water & gatorade at minimum, with a bag of ice, so you can keep hydrated all day long & save money. They sell 24 & 32 size water bottles at IGA & Gatorade in many different sizes. They also sell Beer, Coolers, Alcohol, Wine & Spirits at the IGA, just not on Sunday. I recommend the Wine Cellar Store in between the IGA and Sweet Escape for better prices on Beer, Alcohol, Wine & Spirits. There is also a TCI Island Brewery who make Turks Head Beer and sell it for approx $33 for a case of 24. They also sell Rum for approx $14 for a 26er. However, I prefer the local Bambarra Rum that they sell at the Wine Cellar & IGA. It has a really nice flavour and they use it to make the Island's Amazing Rum Cake. They have two different sizes and they make great gift idea's. You can purchase them at FOTTAC in the Regent Plaza, at the Wine Cellar or the Departure Lounge at the PLS Airport. They make an amazing Jerk Spice, West Indian Mustard & Guava Jam as well. They have a Gold Rum, Silver Rum, Reserve Rum & more.
We can arrange a Jeep or SUV Rental, Seadoo 3 seater PWC or a 21 foot Wahoo Centre Console Boat Rental Available at an additional cost!
There is a 2 Bedroom Villa on the property at an additional rate see VRBO # 271855 for details or www.sweetescapetci.com

Cottage had everything my husband and I needed for our adventurous vacation. Josie met us at cottage and made the best rum punch for us!! She also went over maps and gave us ideas to eat and visit. We felt very safe at the cottage as it has gated entry. Tons of added ammenties to use here if you choose which gives makes you feel welcome. We used the provided beach chairs, umbrella and cooler alot which saved us money as we traveled to different beaches daily. We added 2 extra nights to our stay and were promptly assisted with this. Will definitely stay here again.

We had a great 8-night stay at the cottage, which is centrally located to everything on Provo. It is perfect for 2 people--if you have more than 2, go for the villa!
Katherine was a great host, giving us lots of information before we arrived and helping us out with things there, and we highly recommend her.

This was the perfect type of accommodation for our getaway. Easy to navigate and close enough to everything.

My husband and I spent 2 weeks in this very special little cottage. It was perfect and exactly what I expected from the pictures and description. Kitchen had everything we need to cook which was good because Turks and Caicos is a very expensive island. We pack a suitcase with frozen food from Omaha steak( learned from other trips to the islands) and we were so glad we did. Groceries are expensive(butter is $16 a lb) but once you get over the sticker price it was OK. Just be prepared! The location of the cottage is perfect, short drive to multiple public beaches with free parking. We were reluctant to try Bight Beach but it turned out to be our favorite. Never crowded. Short drive to multiple restaurants too. We have stayed on St John and Abaco and found that the driving on Turks and Caicos is much easier even though it is on the left. We will definitely be back!

This was the perfect place for me and my boyfriend to stay during our visit to Turks. Having the ability to be mobile on the island and access to all the wonderful beach supplies at the VRBO opened lots of options to see the whole island all the beautiful beaches. The hosts were very knowledgeable about very helpful.

Location was central to everything on island. Katherine works hard to make your experience the very best. She’s a great communicator and pays attention to all the details. Loved being able to kayak and night off the dock. Her recommendations for dive operators, restaurants, etc were all spot on. Highly recommend!

Had an amazing time staying at this villa. It was clean, very quaint, and comfortable. Plenty to do at the cottage, with all water gear supplied: kayaks, paddleboards, snorkeling gear, coolers, beach chairs, etc. Though not on the beach, it has access to a dock that gets you to the water. We rented a vehicle at the airport for our stay (although, you can rent 3 different vehicles from the cottage) which allowed us to explore the island, as there are many amazing beaches to see. Preferred this to staying at a resort where we might of been limited to one beach. We had the luxury of having the host, Katherine, staying on the property. Although, she gave us all the privacy we wanted, we enjoyed spending time with her, as she quickly became a good friend and attended to any of our needs. She even provided us with some of her own groceries on the first day we arrived, until we were able to stock our own. Seems like she also had a never ending supply of Rum Punch that she continually invited us to share with her. She also took the time to explore with us and show us all the good spots around the island. She was absolutely amazing and we plan on staying in touch with her, especially since we will eventually go back. The location of the cottage is centrally located on the island, so getting to every point on the island was very easy. We easily give this rental a five star rating and would recommend it to anyone.

The cottage was just what we wanted and all two people need. We enjoyed sitting on the canal side deck. It has great access to all the beaches, but you need a car. The host provided a world of information and their assistant was there to greet us, answer any questions and make suggestions about what to do and where to go. They were very responsive to the few needs we had during our stay. We look forward to our return.

Katherine is very responsive and accommodating. The 3 of us stayed in the guest house. At first we thought it was going to be too small of space, but quickly realized that we were only there to shower and sleep. We spent 6 days venturing to every edge of the island.
- The location is perfect, right in the center and short drive to anywhere.
- Top of the Cove Deli was our daily breakfast and coffee. Great people, clean, best prices.
- Katherine provides details and recommendations for the entire island. Very handy for first time visitors

This was my first vrbo experience and it did not disappoint. Katherine and Josie were fabulous hosts and so easy to work with. They responded super quickly to any questions I had. They gave us great tips and places to try. I am recommending this little peace of heaven to all my friends!

Perfect reasonable spot to stay on T&C in Provo. Great location just on a short bumpy road to get there. There are a lot of bumpy roads here. Great amenities provided. Beach chairs, umbrellas, kayaks, cooler chest, snorkel equipment. Kitchen is a great plus. Katherine is very friendly and meets you on check in and checkout providing you with all the local spots to eat and see. Great tips on how to get around island. We’ll be back!

Had a fabulous time kayaking and paddle boarding the canals and ocean, grilling fresh fish off the boat, and taking the jeep to Malcolm's Beach and Split Rock. Catherine and Josie are awesome hosts!!!

We enjoyed the VRBO itself with the colorful flowers and sweet smelling nigh jasmine. We also benefitted from a location easy to travel the whole island. We kayaked to the lakes, snorkled all over, and made great use of the other equipment provided. Thanks for the stay,

Katherine sent detailed instructions regarding the arrival process and information related to our stay. Josie greeted us with rum punch, which became our staple for the week. The cottage was charming and cozy, just right for our family. We rented the jeep and spent most of our days at one beach or another - which is all we really wanted to do after coming from a place with subzero temps. Everything was exactly as described in the listing. We had a great trip, and I would happily recommend this property.

We stayed in a one room guest house, it was perfect for us, as we did not spend much of our time indoors. The property is on a canal, that is salt water and very swinnable, I came across two large turtles. We used the snorkeling gear to snorkel the beaches of Providenciales. I would stay there again.

Katherine and Josie made the whole experience even better. Katherine provided great details and support about "must see" places and restaurants. The cottage was clean and easy to find. The area felt safe as well. Its close to the beach and easy access to the main road.

Lovely Cottage and amazing extras
This property met all our needs. It was extremely clean and nicely decorated . The kayaks, paddle boards and water trampoline where included which makes this a beyond perfect place. Also included beach chairs, umbrella, life vests and snorkeling equipment . What makes this place exceptional is the support from Katherine and Joselyn. Katherine was beyond amazing with her immediate response to all our questions and concerns and Joselyn was there to greet us with their delicious RumPunch and wonderful suggests for an ideal vacation . We couldn’t have asked for more! We highly recommend this lovely property

Excellent Getaway
The Sweet Escape Villa is a beautiful property that is a short drive from anywhere you want to be on Providenciales. We stayed in the smaller guest house, but had full access to the canal, numerous kayaks/paddle boards, and all three other great amenities. Josie met us on the property, served us a delicious drink, and showed us all the best spots on the island. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. We definitely loved our stay here.

Absolutely Perfect!
Wow, what a great property!
This was our second trip to Providenciales, and we're so glad we chose to stay on Katherine's property this time around. Katherine was incredibly prompt, professional, and detailed in all of her correspondence. The property itself was in a good location, in great condition, and had a variety of amenities to offer. We greatly appreciated Katherine and Josie's flexibility with our arrival, and their willingness to help make other arrangements for us prior to our departure.
Overall, we are very happy we booked this stay, as it made for an amazing getaway! Thank you Katherine and Josie!

Wonderful little cottage in great location!
Katherine and Josie were both so accommodating and easy to work with throughout the entire process. We landed around 12:30 PM and Katherine arranged for a shuttle driver to take us directly to the villa which made arrival a breeze! We arrived to the cottage a bit before check in but Josie was there waiting with our rum punch! The island phone is a huge help- we used it to call and make dinner reservations a few times since our US phones didn't work there, and the best part of having it was being able to use the Wave app. We used the app daily to go to and from and it made driving their much easier! We also rented their Jeep- as other people have mentioned, it is older and rickety, but it does the job. The only downfall for us is that it has no AC, and it was in the high 80's while we were there, so it was very warm most days without air.
The location is ideal, as it is very centrally located. My only disappointment is that I didn't realize the villa was right behind the cottage and that we wouldn't have actual canal views or more space/privacy. We were lucky in that the guests in the villa did not use the dock area, so we had it to ourselves, but just be aware that you may need to share that common space with other renters.
We had an issue with the property across the canal being under construction (a random and unforeseeable fluke), and when I reached out to Katherine about the loud noises and long work hours, she immediately arranged for us to go to another property free of charge, so we were very thankful for that.
All in all a beautiful island and cottage that was perfect for our 6 day honeymoon!

Amazing Cottage Property & Island! -:)
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sweet Escape Guest Cottage. It was beautifully decorated, well cared for and had everything we needed and more. The Weber Grill, AC, WI-FI & Cable TV were all nice to have. It was a comfortable place to come home to after a day exploring the island, snorkelling, walking on the most beautiful beaches and swimming in the most beautiful ocean. We rented the Jeep and it was the perfect island vehicle. We could put the top down when we wanted and have shade when we wanted. The property is beautiful with mature trees, flowering shrubs and we enjoyed the dockside patio, swimming in the canal, kayaking down the canal to cooper jack bay beach and bob's bar at south side marina. Flamingo Divers is also located there and a great company to scuba dive with - smaller groups so not rushed and the best scuba diving we have ever done. The dockside patio and screened in porch were also a great place to relax with a nice view. Thank you to Katherine & Joselyn for making our vacation an amazing on. We really appreciated your guidebook with the driving directions to all your favorite places on the island. This was a huge time saver and we saw more of your island then any other island we have been too.

Very accommodating owner and manager
Due to some turmoil at home, my trips plans changed several times.
Katherine (owner) and Josie (manager) helped me out every time.
I sure made it difficult for them at times, including recovering my passports and valuables from the safe after I had moved out.
Katherine was more than fair with her treatment of me.
Thanks for a great stay.

Cozy cottage with everything you need to the beach!
Great cottage and super friendly, helpful folks (Josie and Kate) taking care of it.
We had an awesome stay, and found everything we needed for the beach (beach towels, chairs. mat, umbrella, snokeling gear, coolers, etc)
The cottage is small/cozy but has good AC and all the essentials. Couldn’t ask for more.
The Jeep is what one should expect of an almost 20year old vehicle in the tropics, but it is also a lot of fun to drive with the windows open and perfect for two people exploring the island. Rates are very fair, so again, couldn’t ask for more!!
Had an awesome stay, highly recommend.

Enjoyed
My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Sweet Escape guest cottage. The cottage nicely appointed, clean, and well stocked with essentials. Sweet Escapes is centrally located on the island, making it a great home base for exploring. We really enjoyed cooling off and relaxing in the canal in the evenings after a long day of exploring. Definitely recommend Sweet Escapes Cottage.

Magical trip
House was exactly as posted. It was quaint clean, and perfect for the two of us. We rented the Jeep which was also a great benefit. It is in a great location as well. Josie greeted us upon arrival and was readily reachable during our stay. Katherine provided beyond enough information to guide us. We would definitely stay here again

Nice small cottage
First, the communication with Katherine throughout the process was fabulous. She was very quick to answer all of our questions! We got picked up at the airport by JR and met at the cottage by Josie. Josie is very friendly and she was waiting with rum punch and cold beers!! She explained everything to us and ensured we had no other questions before leaving us. The cottage is small but it worked out ok for us since we didn't plan on spending our days inside. It was really clean, fresh linens, towels, etc. No complaints there! I just wished they had space for indoor dinning set. The kitchen had everything we needed except a good toaster. The BBQ is amazing and we grilled almost every night. We came across a few minor issues that were quickly looked after. If you plan on using the snorkeling equipment, try it in the canal before you hit the beach!! We also rented the Jeep - a little weathered but it did the job! Overall, we had a great time at Sweet Escape. Thank you Josie and Katherine.

Wonderful stay
We stayed at the Guest Cottage for 6 days in February of 2019. From the time of booking to check out, both Katherine and Josie were wonderful to work with. The cottage is small, but fit our needs perfectly, and was an amazing value. We were able to cook most of our meals, which kept our entire trip cost down tremendously. The cottage is centrally located, and a perfect home base for exploring the entire island. The water sports and accessories that come with the cottage were awesome too. We had a maintenance issue with our a/c unit, but Josie handled it quickly, and had it back working very fast. Our favorite beach by far was Malcolm Road, we had the entire beach to ourselves for the day, and the snorkeling was amazing. Sapodilla Bay was a close second, but had a completely different feel, no snorkeling but very shallow, calm and so pretty. We will definitely be back, and will stay here again, or maybe upgrade to their Villa on the same property.

Clean and Affordable with a Responsive Gracious Host
We were a family of 3 who stayed in the smaller unit on the property. The cottage was clean and well outfitted with the essentials needed for cooking our own breakfasts. Hosts were quick to respond to any questions or concerns. Pricing was very reasonable; accomodation can be very expensive in Turks and Caicos. The location does require one to rent a vehicle, so if you go out to dinner, you cannot have a drink, especially if you are concerned about driving on the "other side" of the road. We were a bit nervous about driving at night, so ended up having early dinners and going back to the cottage to read and relax. The hosts did connect us with a local shuttle service who was quite reasonable in his pricing, so we were able to go out one evening and have a couple of drinks; we could have had more nights out if we had thought to inquire about this option earlier in the week. The vehicle we rented from the host broke down, but the host did not charge us for the days that it did not work, and transported us to our next destination at no cost. The hosts connected with a local marine where we were able to rent a boat for a couple of days. Unfortunately they did not have the kind of boat we would have liked to rent, so best to book this well ahead of your trip if you have specific requirements. The water in the most beautiful we have ever been in, anywhere in the world. We had a lovely interaction with the famous local dolphin, "Jo-Jo" when we were out in the boat.
Overall, a great property with a responsive, informative, and gracious host. The rum punch and beer on arrival is a lovely touch!

Awesome anniversary trip
Beautiful little cottage with everything we needed. Katherine and Josie were excellent hosts and readily available. Renting a car/Jeep is essential to getting around the island. Our favorite water sports were Coral Gardens to snorkel, and Island Vibes Tours for the snorkeling/swimming excursion. Loved eating at Chinsons, Mango Reef and Hemingway’s. We will definitely come back!!

Great vacation to the Turks and Caicos
We spent a very comfortable week in the Sweet Escape guest cottage. It was a lovely spot for the two of us away from the hustle and bustle of the resort and tourist area, but not so far away that we we couldn't easily access all the amenities that the island has to offer. Katherine was fantastic to deal with, and was very helpful and prompt with and questions that we had. The cottage was cozy and had everything we needed. We really appreciated the extras such as beach and snorkelling gear. We highly commend renting the Jeep as it allowed us to explore the island. We found some out of the way places that were beautiful and private. On our last day, we found a quiet little gem called Pelican Beach on the eastern tip of the island where there was a human made reef just off shore. We discovered the reef purely by accident, but agreed that It was the best off beach snorkelling that we found all week. Although the reef was small, it was teaming with life, and felt like we were snorkelling in a fish aquarium. If you enjoy snorkelling, we would highly recommend making the trek across the island to explore this little hidden gem. Katherine recommended taking a tour with Island Vibes, which we quite enjoyed. Seeing the reef and all the ocean life was amazing. At one point we looked over to see several Reef Sharks swimming with us. Unfortunately there was a large group on the boat that was not interested in the snorkelling, even though it was a snorkelling tour, but did take great advantage of the free bar. Tthe tour with got quite wild, changing the experience of the trip. Captain Mike was very apologetic, and assured us that most trips were not like that. He offered us a free trip the next day to ensure that we were happy. He did his best to make sure we got the best experience possible. In the end it was still a great half day tour. Thank you to Katherine for all her hard work. Her property showed pride of ownership, and she truly tries to give you the best experience possible. Also, we couldn't beat the affordability of this little cottage.

The amenities inside and out make it feel like a hotel/resort, but the privacy puts you on your own island! Recommend it to anyone.

Perfect place for us
My husband, 4 year old son and I stayed in the cottage for a week and had a wonderful time! Joselyn is very helpful and there if you need her. We love having a washer and dryer because it cuts down on the luggage we have to bring. The bed was comfortable. We cooked on the grill every day. It was the perfect size for the 3 of us. We never felt unsafe, which was something I was concerned about. The house has a safe too. We also rented the Jeep and did a lot of exploring around the island. One of our favorites was Pirates Cove and Bonefish Beach (same location). Getting there took a long time but it was part of the adventure. We would definitely stay here again!
