This is a great property. Very clean and well appointed with pretty much anything you would need. Kitchen has a great layout and lots of room for more than one person to prepare gourmet meals with two stovetops and ovens. Easy to find by land or water and docks are large and sturdy. Just check the waterlevels if you plan to dock a boat under about 20ft..

Overall this place is amazing. Huge fridge in the kitchen and massive walk in pantry. (w/second fridge) Lot's of space inside and out for all your needs. One callout: We visited in Oct and the water level was so low we couldn't dock our boats. There is a marina just around the corner but they charge $30 each day. Check in with host before you book to confirm water level.

We stayed here July 2022. Great spot, tons to do and see. Cottage was great inside! More than you can ask for. Worked great for our family with 2 kids and mother. Kitchen is well stocked with a massive fridge! My only downside to this review is that the backyard is needing some TLC. Deck is dangerous. Chairs legs falling throuh deck boards when you sit, and or loose boards, or rotten boards. Furniture out there could use an upgrade as well. All in all it was a great time! We enjoyed the water and cottage all week! Will be back!!

We were a party of 4 seperate families, 8 people in total and arrived friday afternoon, checking out Tuesday morning.. We were immediately impressed!. The Cottage is well laid out, spacious, clean, well appointed and stunning! The fact that it looks directly onto the river only adds to the ambiance. The pictures on line DO NOT do this property justice, it is BEAUTIFUL! The Owners thought of everything,. It was an addedd bonus to have such a large Fridge and freezer to store food and drinks, they provided a hair dryer, pods and dryer sheets for laundry and even extras such as a blender and waffle maker. The Kitchen offers lots of prep space and the cozy fireplace, seperating the two seating areas was much appreciated. The master bedroom has a king bed and HUGE walk in closet, the two other bedrooms were smaller in size; yet comfortable, nicely decorated and well appointed. We specifically chose this property as it mentioned 3 en suite bathrooms, each with showers; unfortunately, after the first night we discovered that the one shower WAS NOT USABLE since the shower head sprayed and leaked water everywhere, causing a near flood in that one particular bathroom. This issue was mentioned to Marcel, our host. He was freindly, couteous and responded to all messages and calls quickly. Marcel explained that they just replaced this shower head; however, why this was not checked to ensure it functioned properlyy before welcoming guests, was an oversight. As this was a long weekend, he explained that this messsy, leaking shower could not be remedied during our stay, which was inconvenient, causing a lack of privacy as now 4 families had to share 2 showers. Although our host was polite, we were dissappointed, as no verbal apology was offered, nor even a small attempt to make up for this inconvenience, such as offering a later check out perhaps. Despite this, we all greatly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to re book in the future. The putting green with multiple exterior areas to sit and relax was a bonus. Note, the deck could use some work as some of the wood is aging;. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing, clean and spacious Cottage with a lovely view, this is the place for you!! We as a group thoroughly enjoyed this property and wish we could have extended our stay!

A very enjoyable stay at a lovely property on the canal. Our kids enjoyed the mini golf and the close proximity to the pier to fish.

A very unique part of Ontario. We choose this home for the putting green and the chance to kayak through the canals. Thoroughly enjoyed both! Would be a great house to take the rest of our family to.

We spent a couple of days at Marcel's place in Sep 2021. The place itself is beautiful. The mini-golf thing was an add-on. Each one of us liked the cottage and we would definitely visit again.

We very much enjoyed our stay in Lighhouse Cove. The cottage is spacious, well decorated with comfortable beds. The inside is really nice, and the kitchen is great. You will never run out of fridge or freezer space. The price is quite high, but that mat just be the way it is nowadays. The backyard is getting very tired. The boards on the deck are coming apart and you couldn't walk around with bare feet because some of the boards were lose and the screws would pop up and hurt your feet. The bbq was very dirty. We still used it, but definitely had issues with it. Both sinks in the ensuite bathroom were having a lot of trouble draining, so could use some attention. Overall, thought there were some issues, it's a great place, and we would certainly consider staying there again.

Enjoyed the house and the beautiful area. Lots of space for the whole family. The pictures are represented of the house. There are lots of golf courses to choose. Would rent again if in the area.

Perfect for boating

The place is pretty clean. All 3 bedrooms are cozy and have private bathrooms. The kitchen is huge with lots of amenities. The deck is very nice and there are lots of fishes in the lake. Marcel is a perfect host. For sure we will visit this place again!

Overall a great experience. Everything was there, as listed. The house by the canal is awesome. As expected you don't get much privacy because of the proximity of neighbors . A few things could be improved there and there: cooking pans and ustensiles are outdated. The junior bedroom bed has a so so mattress. But really that does not matter. It is a great house and a great value. We loved it and will definitely come back if possible

The property was amazing. Great location, really too big for just the two of us but we enjoyed the space. Lovely deck area with a choice of seating. Would be a great place to share with family and friends.

Beautiful place that was very clean and modern with a large kitchen which made cooking meals a breeze. Close to water for fishing and an added bonus was the mini golf green by the fire pit.

We really enjoyed the inside of the house, pictures don't lie, it's very nice. There is no beach, not sure why it's listed there, just a pier of concrete blocks. Groups of neighbors have viscous dogs off leach, and often curse and slur at passing boats; with only one way to access it was not pleasant. Great place to stay if you don't want to swim.

My family enjoyed our stay and would certainly consider returning next year . There are a few things which would make the experience more enjoyable. Jetty or at least a ladder to get into and out of the river .Depending on the neighbour’s generosity does not seem fair . The beds need to be at least Queen size. Toilet brushes ($3) Private beach as advertised is not available and was a major disappointment to the kids. Couldn’t get the barbecue to work . Having a paddle boat would be nice .

Cottage was extremely comfortable with a big well equipped kitchen, multiple sitting area's outside which we loved with a fire pit at one. Lovely bedrooms with attached bathrooms. The biggest surprise and asset of the stay were the outstanding channels. We were unsure about them when we booked but they were wider then expected, swimmable, and warm. Thank you Marcel!

Enjoyed a relaxing stay at Lighthouse Cove. Lovely home with great amenities. Many comfortable spaces both inside and out to relax. Very quiet neighborhood which was perfect for a vacation.

Wow, just so beautiful. We had an awesome stay at the cottage. Marcel and Jody were excellent to deal with.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cottage and appreciated the extra service from Marcel on a holiday weekend very much with the kayak and SUP rentals. We all enjoyed the putting green and they weren’t kidding that the kitchen was a foodies’ dream. The kitchen was well-stocked with a big fridge, a vast assortment of pots, pans and utensils, etc. Overall, the cottage was quite large and very well-kept. The layout of the rooms made it so we could easily congregate together or go off into our own sections when needing downtime, we never felt cramped. The cottage is on a canal system, and was ideal for kayaking and SUPing. The neighbourhood was friendly and the community was a short drive away from other attractions. Mostly we were very happy to stay put and enjoy the waterfront view, while kayaking and paddleboarding around the canals and taking in the lovely decor. Marcel and his wife have ensured the property has great amenities and everyone from the young teens to the senior citizens in our group appreciated them. All 6 of us highly recommend this property. Twelve thumbs up!

There are few things to do in the area. If you’re bringing watercraft, this is a great place. If not, maybe not your ideal place. There’s no motor craft to rent, though the owner thought there were. If you’re a cook, bring a few sharp knives. Master bed is comfy. Decor is great. Kitchen has everything needed, apart from a chef’s knife. Interior was clean except windows, most of which are now clean, because I cleaned them. Exterior needed attention. I cleaned up very badly overgrown weeds. Looks good now, so that last comment isn’t helpful. The interior is great. Looks professional and inspired. Overall odd experience and we left early.

Marcel's home is beautiful. 3 bedrooms with 3 baths attached. Kitchen is to die for if you love to cook. Clean, spacious, plenty of room to stretch out in. Spent 4 days there celebrating in the New Year. We all loved it and will be back. Marcel is a super host - very kind and attentive to your every need. I highly recommend Marcel's home.

We had an excellent time here. The property and the area are beautiful. This is the second time we have stayed in a home by Marcel and have not been disappointed.
