Lowcountry Living is Elegant, yet Comfortable. This spacious home, on beachfront with glorious views, is designed for a large gathering of family and/or friends. The main living area, warmed by heart-of-pine, has five sofas to accommodate hanging-out and visiting. Antique dining table seats 10-16 with four stools at the adjoining kitchen counter/bar. Both areas look out over the set-down screen porch with tables, chairs, hammock, and sundeck onto the beautiful white beach and ocean. You are just close enough to see dolphins frolic from inside the home, and we are center stage for sail surfers from Breech Inlet to pier. We are truly the closest to beach/ocean you can get. Why priced so well? We are the owners, grew up here, live close by, and have been doing this for 20+ years now, so we are competitive at pricing. Compare our photos to others.

All BRs have extra wall and floor insulation, four of these have ocean views and three have doors onto the upper level deck. The large kid's room has been painted to resemble an aquarium. We keep 10-15 beach/sand chairs, a large cooler, and an awesome all-terrain Wonder Wheeler to tote your things across your private boardwalk and down the dune.
Our outdoor areas are Not vacuumed and dusted weekly. We have tried forever to get Charleston palmetto bugs, mosquitoes, ants, and no see 'ums to go away (pest control yearly contract always), or at least behave, to no avail. We have info for a service that will set you up with wood and canvas loungers and umbrellas each morn. Email to ask about our shared pool access. Washingtonian.com DC used our home as the photo for DC Beach Guide: 3 Tips on Renting a Beach House" - July 16, 2018 -OCEAN BOULEVARD'S OCEANFRONT HOMES ARE THE CLOSEST LEGALLY POSSIBLE TO OCEAN ON THE ISLAND. LOCATION... LOCATION... LOCATION! We choose this specific lot out of many (in 1987 when Ocean Blvd just opened to building) for the closest legal proximity to the beach (7 yds down our private boardwalk), safe swimming area, and non-crowded privacy from the commercial area, a 3/4 mile walk.

Again, We are set up to very comfortably accommodate 10 adults with 2-6 children, or 12 adults. Isle of Palms now strictly enforces their CODES which limit the number of guests in all rentals. We may only exceed 16 guests for children 2 years or younger. Guests risk a fine for violating Codes. We now have a golf cart available for use by licensed drivers only, with signed waver! We pay a Professional Cleaning Company MORE than what is charged here to do the most thorough job possible. Sometimes mistakes are made. Previous guests put poorly washed utensils, glasses, etc away in cabinets, spill makeup in a closed bedroom drawer, stain multiple things. Kids leave creative things in hidden spots,... M&M Cleaning does a great job, and will come back to correct reasonable complaints. (We've had 8 cleaning companies in our 22 years renting by owner. 3 closed. 4 were fired. Their business is tougher than ours.) The outdoor areas are cleaned regularly, but not in between every weekly Summer use and will likely have sand and dirt, etc, just like a yard or any outdoor area. Grill will have a gas tank, but it is possible you will need to get a refill and/or your own charcoal.
We Highly recommend Charleston Place, the Mills House, the Dewberry Charleston, Wentworth Mansion, (and more if you ask) for white glove, daily, full staff service. Bed linens and bath towels can be provided. Sheets and towels are certainly guaranteed clean, but not free from small product stains. You may rent linens from a service if preferred, or bring your own. (Please note: there is a separate main floor master Suite NOT available for rental that will be locked off and empty for your stay, and is Not part of the 6BR/ 4.75BA . and-We also have a small oceanfront condo that sleeps up to 5 - 3/4 of a mile up the beach for small groups or additional guests, listing here is 116783. Ask about great rates and availability.)
Private chef services are available. Ask for more info. Also note: We provide a limited amount of start-up paper goods, soaps, etc. Our cleaners provide quality basic linens. Some guests prefer to bring their own for maximum comfort. Extras are also available for rent from our cleaning service, or several independent ones in the area. The full deposit will be returned if a CANCELLATION is made 90 days prior to April - Labor Day reservations. 50% will be refunded for a cancellation 45-90 days prior. 100% minus $100 handling fee will be refunded in any case, if the spot can be filled after cancellation. Off season and last minute rentals are 60/30-60 and 100%-$100 If filled. A serious threat of hurricane (actual Hurricane Warnings for the Charleston area in the next 72 hours) would constitute a 100% refund. Guests, and guests of guests, are NOT allowed to have or bring Firearms in or on this property, excepting water-guns. It is standard practice to have guests empty trash upon leaving, as they may have stinky stuff (diapers, seafood, shells...) which permeates the place when not cleaned for hours, or occasionally the next day.

We had a couple issues at the house. Susan was most gracious and had things repaired. We had a great time in the beach! Was wonderful to be able to just walk down to the beach!

My family of ten people ( ages 10-85) and I were here for our grandaughter’s wedding near by and we all had a fantastic weekend. I’ve been coming to Isle of Palms since I was a child and have stayed in numerous houses on the island , but this is by far the most impressive. It is so warm and inviting, very relaxing and right on the ocean. I personally appreciated the vintage look of the house, although it’s not that old. Our host gave detailed information in a timely manner which was so appreciated. Many thanks for a wonderful experience!

We had a great stay at this house… it’s a little quirky but in a comfortable and comforting way - old school. The proximity to the beach is unbeatable, a Harris Teeter a mile away, easy drive to downtown Charleston. We loved the big giant dining table, and the comfy couches. Very handy having two fridges, and there was plenty of hot water, good water pressure.

The house description was spot on - I appreciate all the detail and I knew that the home was "loved" over the years...and we loved it some more. The beach was SO close to the house and not crowded even on the weekend days that we were there. Lots of kite surfing later in the day that was so fun to watch (not sure if that's the correct term), we were so close to everything that we could get in and out of the fray easily. Communication with the owner/rep was fantastic.

Enjoyed our stay in your beautiful home. The views are fantastic. Having the chairs and beach toys available was an added plus. The house is so close to everything and having the golf cart was very convenient for quick trips to Sea Biscuit restaurant. There was plenty of room for our group.
