KACEE'S RETREAT IS A SATURDAY RENTAL
KACEE'S is perfect for larger families or groups! Just steps from the ocean, it features 3 decks, a six person hot tub, outdoor shower with hot and cold water, charcoal grill, fish cleaning table, wireless internet, off street parking, and much more. The 1st floor, with 2 bedrooms connected by a full bath, is perfect for children. Each bedroom has a pyramid bunk and a 32" flat screen TV. There are floor fans in both bedrooms. The 1st floor also has a beverage cooler and extra ice maker in the hall. The 2nd floor features 2 queen bedrooms connected by a full bath, and a master bedroom with a king bed and a full bath. All three bedrooms have 32" flat screen TVs. The bedrooms on this floor have ceiling fans and all of the bedrooms feature large closets. We supply bed linens which will be left on each bed for you. The washer, dryer, and an extra refrigerator are also located on the 2nd floor. An ironing board and iron are stored in the hall closet. On the top floor, you'll find the living area with a big screen Roku TV. The large dining table seats 8 with additional seating for 4 at the bar. The kitchen has plenty of counter space and storage, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, electric stove, microwave, and toaster oven. It's well stocked with a coffee maker, Keurig, electric can opener, blender, crock pot, hand mixer, electric griddle, 2 sets of dishes, and plenty of pots and pans. The half bath is also located on this floor. The top deck, opening off the dining/living area, has a table and chairs for 4 and 2 lounges. If you're an early riser, have your morning coffee and watch the gorgeous sunrise over the ocean. Relax in the evening and watch the reflection of the setting sun on the water and the moon rise. Most days you can see dolphins and the brown pelicans are usually out diving for fish. The hot tub is located on the lower deck, with access from 2 of the bedrooms, including the master bedroom. This deck also offers an unobstructed view of the ocean. Just across Rt. 12, within walking distance, is a convenience store and a very nice little surf shop that offers surf lessons. The major grocery store on the island, Food Lion, is about 17 miles south in Avon.

We have been going to OBX for 25 + years and this house was absolutely the best house. This house met and exceeded our expectations. Plenty of room for everyone, close to the beach, very clean and well maintained. Would definitely stay in this house again. Response from the owners was exceptional on anything. We had such a fabulous stay. The weather was great and the house was very comfortable with lots of room for our big family of 6! We loved the decks and hot tub was relaxing. The dog hair could have been cleaned up a little better but overall cleanliness was great! Beds were very comfortable. We truly enjoyed our stay!

This house was a great little get away. The pen for the dogs was an amazing find! It definitely helped with the rainy days where it would’ve been a pain to walk the dogs. The area itself had a lot of things closed, which was expected for it not being “in season”, so we had to travel about 25 miles in either direction for town fun.
The short walk to the beach was excellent! Fair warning that the kitchen/living area is on the tippy top level which was probably my mistake not reading the layout.. so if you have someone with difficulty with stairs keep this in mind. Also there is no garbage disposal so be careful so you don’t clog the sink! Over all I really enjoyed our week. The beds were SO COMFY which is always a plus!! Can’t go wrong with a good beach house on the beach that allows dogs!

Mary was so nice and had excellent communication through the booking process. She gives detailed instructions and tips. The property was so beautiful. We had a great view of the ocean. The dog run for this home is AWESOME. It was so nice not to have to go out in the rain to let our pups potty. The home is more than well equipped. In fact, it had 2 refigerators, a wine cooler and an ice maker. Super cool. Hot tub looked inviting but we didn’t use due to the cold weather. We saw porpoises popping out of the water on one of the days there. I really enjoyed listening to the sounds of the waves each night. I really appreciated that each of the rooms had different mattress styles. My husband was a big fan of the master but I enjoyed the memory mattress in one of the guest bedrooms more so I made a switch mid trip. We walked over to the convenience store just across the way several times for snacks. There was even a Filipino food truck there during the weekdays. Yummy! Kacee’s Retreat certainly offers something for everyone. Don’t hesitate to book this one!

Rodanthe is such a cute little quiet town. The beach was great, the view from the deck was gorgeous! It was our first time in The OBX and we definitely will be back!

Great family spot
My wife, daughters (8 and 3), parents, dog, and I loved our week at KayCee’s. The home was spacious, clean, and well-appointed with an unbeatable location just steps from the beach and gorgeous ocean views. Mary made the check-in/out process and communications very smooth. The location was private and quiet—you truly feel off the beaten path. The beach wasn’t crowded, though it was narrow and the steep drop off and rough waters made swimming a little tougher for our kids than some other beaches (we typically go to NJ). The kitchen was well-stocked and there were a handful of good dining options within 10-15 minutes, but many more options are 30+ minutes away. Not an issue for us as we cooked most nights and appreciated being away from the crowds at more populous Outer Banks towns. Overall it was a great stay and we’d highly recommend it to others (especially if you have a dog!).

Location was fabulous. We had an age group from 2yrs-83yrs old and this house was perfect for all. The kItchen was well stocked with all the needed necessities. The owners provided great info of surrounding area prior to checkin and were very responsive to any of our questions.

Wonderful Week!
We had such a great week. The ocean and beach views were wonderful from both decks and the beach access was near by. The built in safety gates and second fridge were very handy to have. The home was nice and clean and the check in and out process was easy and went smoothly. I now have a new favorite house to stay in for future our vacations in Rodanthe.

We enjoyed our Xmas week at this great location! Watched sunrise with coffee on the porch and sunset in the hot tub each evening! Great location to beach, easy to get to sightseeing locations and our pets enjoyed the porches/dog run. Thanks for sharing your house with us!

Great Fall Beach Getaway!
We had such a wonderful time here. We love the house and its location and the views from the decks, access to the hot tub, extra fridge and ice machine, having the gas station and convenience store so close, great fishing opportunities nearby, a sweet little playground for our daughter to play at a stones throw away, decent restaurants within an easy driving distance and a quick walk to the beach.
Mary was lovely to work with through the entire process. We’ve been coming to the Outer Banks for a very long time, and it’s always been our preference to try a new property and explore a new town, but after staying here, we’ve already rebooked for next year!
We’re already counting the days until our family can return to Rodanthe and Kacee’s Retreat!

Great location
We really enjoyed our stay at Kacee’s retreat. The ocean/beach is beautiful and right there. Getting off and on the beach was a little more difficult than we initially anticipated (there is a man-made dune that you have to go through/around to get to the beach) but we got over that quickly. The house provided great accommodations, but it could have been more thoroughly cleaned before check-in. Overall a great vacation and we would love to stay there again.

Vacay 2021
The house was great for the six of us. Nice and close to the beach. Upstairs deck was great to see the sunrise in the mornings. A pantry to store all your food and two refrigerators.
There were some areas that needed dusting and the next door property left their big spot lights on all night which shined into the master bedroom but that was pretty minor problems.
The owners were very responsive with any questions I had. We would rent it again.

Great Week Off the Beaten Path
This is an amazing house. Incredible views of the sunrise from the top deck. Very spacious and well kept interior. Comfy beds. Great amenities (outdoor shower and hot tub were our favorites). Literally steps to the beach where you’ll have plenty of space to sit read out and enjoy yourself.
The area doesn’t have all the choices of restaurants and shopping that you get in Nags Head or even Avon, but you can’t beat the peace and quiet that you find at KaCee’s.

We had a great time. The house was very nice and comfortable. We loved the upper deck. The deck furniture was nice and the views were great. The beach was just steps away and not crowded. If you like a bit of adventure, go out on the beach at night with a flashlight and see the crabs scampering around. The owners were nice and quick to respond to our questions. I would definitely consider staying here again.

Absolutely the perfect place for our stay. Without a doubt one of the best we’ve ever stayed in. Location and view are great. House was clean and in perfect condition. The owner, Mary, was very responsive to any questions we had. House is very dog friendly. Plenty of gates to keep the dog secure. Was perfect for our family group of ten. Perfect Dog friendly Beach Stay
We loved our stay here. Everything was well equipped and clean when we arrived. The beach was just a few steps away. We really enjoyed hearing the waves at night and watching the stars from the hot tub. The dog run is perfect for bigger dogs and really came in handy for us. The only thing we would change is staying longer! We hope to return to this lovely home in the future.

Everything was very nice. The house was wonderful (that dog run is awesome!) the views were terrific. We sat on the deck and had coffee while watching dolphins swim during sunrise. Amazing place.

A perfect spring getaway location
We really enjoyed out stay and highly recommend this home, everything was as described. The beach and all surrounding beaches we visited were empty, plenty of shells to hunt, amazing sounds of the waves crashing in and amazingly peaceful. We had a beautiful view of both the sunrise and sunset from the patio or beach, which was just steps away. The kitchen had everything needed and then some to make many meals for the family. Many things were just starting to open during our stay, we tried Lisa's pizza on their opening night and they were great, fast and delivered right to the door! There were plenty of beds and space for those traveling with groups. Most beds seemed very comfortable, our kids loved theirs, but the master bedroom mattress is one I would avoid, unless you plan to sleep in the middle and alone. We had high winds on several of the days, so some patio time was limited due to blasting sand, but so much space between the different floors, front and back to spread out and relax outside when weather allows, along with many awesome seating options. The owner said they were getting a new hot tub soon, the water was freezing cold in the current, so we didn't get to take advantage of that feature either. However, that is a great addition on the patio facing the beach to relax as well. We did experience some ants as a few mentioned, they seemed to be entered through the top floor's patio door area, but as the weather warms up in my world it comes with the territory and we just kept killing them as they were found, not in excessive amounts or anything. This house had much more parking availability than many of the surrounding homes too, also being behind 2 other houses, the driveway didn't seem to get as covered by sand and water as some right up front either, which was awesome.

House is at the beautiful and convenient location. There are convenient stores nearby or around 25 mins drive to food lions. You can see the ocean and listen to waves while relaxing in the hot tub. House is well maintained and clean. There are plenty of rooms. Mary responded to our questions fast and was very helpful.
