The mile long beach is just across from the front entry gate. The property has a gated 450 foot driveway just off the middle of Sea Oats Beach. The dock is right out the back door. The home is on the bayside and very close to Channel five and Indian Key channel. It is all very private.

This property is absolutely beautiful! Gorgeous view from the huge screened porch. The dock was perfect for our pair of 21' boats with freshwater hose & power. The owner is great with communication & helpful.

House is just as nice as it looks. 3 of came down with a boat and 3 kayaks. The dock made it very convenient for our boat. We were also able to easily launch 3 large fishing kayaks from back yard. The canal is loaded with snappers and barracuda. Just outside the canal we found large tarpon. Bridges are all around and there’s a great Cuban restaurant 1 mile away. (Habanos) food is great and the pricing is very affordable for the area. Avoid Publix at all costs as it’s ridiculously over priced. Hit a super Walmart before getting to the the keys would be my advice. Getting back to the house, Chris, the owner was very easy to reach and seemed like a good guy. I’d stay again and give the property a A+

Took family of 5 with boat for spring break! Great location and we had a great time. Easy access to ocean, backcountry, Robbie’s, Lorelei, Alligator Reef, etc. House was clean and owner was very available. Upstairs screened in deck was huge with incredible views of the bay.

Our family had a wonderful time in the Keys and didn't want to leave this home. The house was comfortable and had plenty of space indoors and out. We appreciated that the entire living space, kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms are all on the upper level. The view of the water is absolutely beautiful. My husband and I enjoyed relaxing and enjoying the view from the porch and decks and my teenagers loved fishing off the dock. We saw a manatee, plenty of fish, a nurse shark, lobsters and shrimp. The home is within a minute's drive to get bait and within 10 minutes to Islamorada and all the shopping and restaurants you could possibly want. We look forward to booking again in the future.

Very relaxing! A spacious and gracious home away from home. Comfortable beds, clean top to bottom, excellent laundry space, great kitchen set up, and wonderful views of the water. Jump in off the dock for a cooling dip, relax with a morning coffee on the veranda, sunbathe in the afternoon on the outdoor lounges. Wonderful private vacation!

Great location for quiet stay yet close to fishing and restaurants. We rented a boat for the week which worked out great to fish and go to lunch/happy hour. Chris was a great host—very responsive and helpful from booking to check out. Wouldn’t recommend renting a golf cart-not necessary and can’t go far. Will definitely be back

Only 10 mins to Ch 5 bridge for access to the Atlantic. Restaurants, gas, bait, and tackle all within minutes drive time. The kitchen is very well supplied for cooking, also.

We went fishing and diving in the morning/afternoon and relaxed at night taking in the beautiful tranquil view, while sipping Margaritas! Loved watching many fish, little lobsters and even a turtle from the dock!
The house is very well located with many restaurants close by, and when we wanted to cook, the kitchen was very well equipped.
Chris, the owner, was very responsive when I had a question.

The house is awesome and the location and dock are perfect. My daughter enjoyed all the lizards and sea life and we snorkeled off the dock. We saw several sea turtles, nurse sharks, and lots of parrot fish while there. The king bed was comfortable, which in my VRBO experience is hard to come by. Need new bed pillows though. Chris was nice and easy to deal with. Thanks!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed this trip. The location was perfect, we had our pick of many very good restaurants and easy access to the bike path while not being directly on the main road. Even with the temporary reconstruction going on, and its effect on the riding path, we were able to bike ride several miles in each direction and get to restaurants and Anne's beach without having to cross bridges. We rented kayaks and got out in the water to enjoy sunsets. The lower level of the house, being open, allowed us ample room to store our "toys" - and we were able to rent a boat and bring it right up to our dock, which was super convenient. The house has a nicely stocked kitchen, amply sized bedrooms, and the screened living area was THE highlight, as we spent many hours in the morning and evening on that porch. Location! Location! Location!
The FL Keys is one of our most favorite family vacation spots. We have traveled here on about 20 separate vacations. There is nothing quite like the Keys and this property is a gem and ranks amongst the very top stays (an we've had a lot to compare it to)
The house is very private. You can spend your entire time on the dock watching the sea life - we saw parrot fish, manatee, lobsters, nurse sharks, snapper, jelly fish, barracuda just by looking into the water off the dock. You can fish for hours. We got a couple rafts and just floated around the dock. Walk across the street to the ocean side. My daughters collected the most amazing sea shells ever.
See both the sun rise and set from the house - practically panoramic water on all sides.
An amazing screened in porch for relaxing. I don't think we turned on the TV one time. The house has everything you need. Plenty of room, well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds. Great outdoor seating and lounge chairs.
Chris was always responsive and thorough in all his communications.
We went to Anne's beach - minutes away from the home and Bahia Honda - a great day trip. Founders park, the bird sanctuary, Robbies, glass bottom kayaking. We went on a private fishing trip. You could easily dock your boat and have great access to bay and ocean.
Great places to eat and close by - Morada Bay, Habanos, Lazy Days, Islamorada Fish Company, Square Grouper, Lorelei's.
It was by far one of our best trips yet. You won't be disappointed in this vacation home. We're already looking forward to our next trip.

Absolutely Amazing
This is truly paradise. An amazing property, location, and a wonderful owner who made our family vacation an absolute joy. Chris was extremely helpful and so easy to work with and he has made this place a little slight of heaven.
The location is perfect. Tucked away from the busy highway and yet just minutes (walking and driving) to some of the best fishing, kayaking, swimming, and snorkeling in the keys. We caught some of the biggest fish of the week directly from the dock at the house and saw manatee in the mangroves a few minutes paddle behind the house. Amazing.
Kayak rentals were easy from a local place that delivered and picked up. Anne’s beach is a short walk/drive away, and sunrises and sunsets are magical from the back deck.
We would definitely come here again and would rent from Chris in a second. Perfection!

Relaxing
We had a good time, relaxed and got away, which was our goal. There is an ant problem in the kitchen. Chris is good to work with but will send reminders if he “sees” that the trash hasn’t been carted down to the end of the road, even if it doesn’t need it yet. We found this a bit odd. All in all, a nice enough stay.

Great stay in Islamorada in waterfront home. “Old Keys” charm with some modern amenities. Tons of fish off the dock to entertain kids and adults fishing for hours. We brought our own boat and kept it at the dock. Easy access to both Gulf side and Atlantic side. Super fun experience for everyone staying at this home!

Property is an ideal location for boating and fishing. Caught several fish right from the dock and also enjoyed docking our boat right at the property for daily use. Very easy and convenient.
House had a wonderful screened porch area where you could watch the sun rise. Very peaceful. Kitchen was dated but was nice and large. It is in need of some deep cleaning, especially counter top, which is made of 3x3 tile and wide-wide grout lines. Cabinets inside and out could use a good scrubbing too.

Our family of five enjoyed this VRBO very much. It was perfect for our family and a nice quiet vacation. The communication with the owner was easy and timely. Easy to get into the property as well. It was our first time in this area of the Keys and by far our favorite! So beautiful. Great location for watching the sunrise and easy to get out fishing. So nice waking up and jumping on the boat! The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were clean.
Side note & in no way does this affect our view on our stay, but just wanted to mention that the driveway can be tricky to backdown with a boat/trailer. Pack your patience as well as your clothes ☺️

Great stay and location
This was perfect for our family of 4 active adults and fur babies. We brought kayaks and paddle boards and were conveniently on the water with great places to explore and fish just a paddle away. Manatees, parrotfish, snapper, tarpon, nurse sharks and sea turtles were all either swimming by or spotted on our paddling escapades. But there was still plenty of time to relax in one of the many spots around the house: screened in porch on the second level, decks, yard right on the water and of course on the end of the dock. The washer and dryer were in one of the bedroom closets but that was no big deal for us, it made that bedroom smell fresh and clean every time we did a load and it was a creative way to keep them on the main level. A grocery store was 8 miles away and we found great restaurants that allowed our dogs to join us. Would definitely come again! Thanks Chris for a great stay and being so responsive!

Pros-The house was nice and in a great location. The owner was easy to get In touch with and helpful. Had a good time with family.
Cons- The guest bedroom had what appeared to be dirty stained sheets. The a/c was set to not go below 72 degrees. Overall a good place though.

Perfect location!
Property was just as described. We have stayed in Islamorada many times but typically stay in Port Antigua which is very close by. We enjoyed this property more because of the privacy and the outdoor areas. There are so many places to enjoy the outdoors. It is also very close to the bay and offshore water access. Hidden Sportsman Gem
Just returned from a great stay at this property!Like my title says its a hidden gem for sportsman, Although I would recommend it to any vacationer that likes a little seclusion as its tucked back off the road to offer a good bit of privacy. This property was clean and well maintained, Chris the owner was really easy to get messages to and responses back quickly. I'm a long time Key's vacationer and have rented a bunch of homes in the area, and I thought this home to be a good value with a lot of little things that make for a good vacation. My group of 4 large guys found the large beds very comfortable, it has a really large screened in porch for a great sitting/eating/cocktail area, with a great view of the basin area and some good ocean views looking towards the east. There was plenty of parking and great storage under the house for all the stuff you bring on vacation and never use, (for us it was mostly a back country fishing vacation , so we stored a bunch of gear an extra trolling motor, pinfish traps a bicycle and tons of other stuff, it was great piece of mind to have a safe area for stuff like that with easy dock access, this area would be perfect storage for a dive vacation to dry wet gear and get ready for your next trip in the shade) Also a good sized bait/fish freezer down there. The dock has great water pressure and electrical outlets with a good sized cleaning table, and deep water from the dock all the way out to the ocean, I would say you could easily keep a large twin outboard boat or medium size inboard boat there with no worries about hitting bottom getting in or out of the basin. This home really had a great feel to it, it captures the essence of the keys well, we saw a lot of small and large birds a few iguana's and had a nice visit from a large manatee while we cleaned fish! Everybody in my group agreed that it was just far enough out of town to enjoy the seclusion of the area but not so far you couldn't get what you needed quickly. Many times its tough to get a feel through pictures and descriptions for a rental home, Truly this home has a great balance of location, Tranquility, ocean and bay access and creature comforts needed to have a great vacation.....we'll definitely be back!!!

Amazing Vacation!
Our family just got back from an Amazing trip staying at Chris's home!! This was our first trip to the Keys and we are already talking about re-booking for next year. The pictures don't give you the whole picture of this property. The entire side of the house is a Huge screen porch that looks all the way out towards the Gulf without any other homes in the way. We brought our 28' foot boat with us and there was plenty of room to park it at the dock and our trailer we backed in under the house. We launched the boat a few miles past the home at Seabird Marina. It was a nice Marina and big enough for our boat. They also have bait, ice, beer etc.. There is a little side street running parallel to the main highway that we were able to pull off on until we backed the trailer in all the way down their driveway and it was easy to get it under the house. The inside of the house was adorable and had everything we needed to feel comfortable. A Publix just opened there last week and is about 8 miles back in Islamorada. The outside of the house was great for chilling out. Our children fished and had a blast with the casting net catching all kinds of things. Lower Matacumbe was just the right speed for our family. It is much smaller than some of the bigger keys and has a few restaurants but is literally 2 miles back to a much busier Islamorada. Our favorite place to eat by car was Pierre's and The Beach Cafe at Morada Bay. They share the same beautiful gulf front beach. Pierre's is pricey and fine dining and The Beach Cafe is the laid back side. The grounds are absolutely lovely!! Our favorite place by boat was Hog Heaven on the Atlantic side. We ate here several days after snorkeling around Cheeca Rocks and the Lighthouse. The lighthouse was amazing! SO many fish!! We found a great underwater sandbar that was a local hangout just out from the house and around the front. There were tons of boats anchored there and all the people stood out in the water enjoying themselves. The kids could stand and throw the ball. That was lots of fun!! We had so much fun and fell in love with the Keys! We can't wait to go back!!

Fantastic Keys Getaway
Chris's house is clean, well maintained and offers plenty of space including a great screened in porch. We fished from the dock each morning and caught sharks, a stingray and watched a manatee. Chris was very helpful and had completed some repairs after the hurricane. It appeared the Keys fared better than the news channels portrayed. I would recommend his place to anyone and appreciate his excellent customer service. Our group rented a fishing charter and traveled to Key West and had a great time there as well.

Family Vacation Spring 2017
My family recently stayed here and we all had a wonderful vacation. The house is gorgeous and very clean and comfortable. We all loved the outdoor space porch and tiki hut to enjoy the breeze and beautiful scenery. We also all caught plenty of fish right off the dock out back. We rented a deck boat for 2 days and were able to bring it to the house and docked it there for the second day. That was a convenience we enjoyed. The neighborhood is quite and well kept. Everything is in good working order at the house and Chris was always very prompt in answering emails or phone calls when I was inquiring about the rental. Another plus is that there are plenty of dishes, cooking utensils, and pots/pans in the kitchen for cooking and meal times. We all enjoyed ourselves thoroughly and are hopeful to have another family vacation there next year!

Great Location and Great House
My family stayed here over Winter Break and had a great time. The house is beautiful and in a lovely spot, well away from the road. Very private and felt like we had our own oasis during our stay. The canal the home is located on is clean and gorgeous with easy access out to the Gulf/Bay side. My kids kayaked and paddle boarded everyday and if we had our snorkel gear, they would have done that as well. Easy access to the canal and there is a dock to fish off or park your boat if you have one. Lots of wildlife to see. Sea Oats beach across the road isn't the best beach for playing in as it is very mucky but it is good for collecting shells and putting kayaks into but don't try wading. The home is as described and Chris was prompt in answering all my questions. Had a great time and we look forward to returning!
