About this house rental

Summary:
Architect designed, open floor plan 3 bedroom +loft, 3 bath (2 en-suite). Third house from best Seabright Beach. Sleeps 8-10. Home is beautifully furnished with 3 Queen beds, plus flexible beds in loft, will work for kids or adults. 2 car garage, sunny deck, BBQ, large & open kitchen.

The Space:
We have a Sunny, Spacious, and Modern 2100 + sq. ft. sunny home for those looking for the entire family and/or extended family. The house is a 1.5 minute walk to Seabright Beach for body surfing, boogie boarding, relaxing, etc. Walk to La Posta restaurant or several others on Seabright Avenue, or walk or drive to Johnny's Harborside or Crow's Nest Restaurant on the harbor. It is a 10 minute drive to world class surf at Pleasure Point beaches or Steamer's Lane. It is a 10 minute walk to the Boardwalk and 15 minutes to the Santa Cruz wharf, or you can drive if you like. Shoppers' Corner, Whole Foods and Safeway are a 5-7 minute drive away. Go for a swim or lounge at the beach and come back and relax or cook up a fantastic meal in the large and functional kitchen. There is a Weber Genesis natural gas BBQ on the slate deck outside the living room for those of you who love to cook on the grill. Or dine at one of the aforementioned restaurants, or drive 10 minutes to downtown Santa Cruz and enjoy some wonderful dining at Oswald's, Soif, Bantam (on the Westside), El Palomar on Pacific Avenue, or many others. Bring your kayaks, bikes, surf boards, etc. There is some extra room in the 2 car garage to keep them indoors.

The master bedroom has a Tempurpedic mattress and an en-suite large bath with a 6 foot bathtub with shower over. The downstairs bedroom has its own ensuite bath. There is a laundry area in the garage with washer and dryer which are there for your use. Best to bring your own laundry detergent.

We have 2 brand new (July 2013) Smart TV's, 50" Plasma in the living room and 40" LED in the loft for the kids (or adults). There is also wireless internet throughout the house.


(THIS IS NOT A PARTY HOME! We encourage families and family gatherings, as this is a special home in a special place. Please understand that we know our neighbors, they know us and they have our phone numbers to advise us if a raging party is going on. So, please if you plan to have a raging party this is NOT the home for you. We do not mean to ask you not to have fun. Please come and laugh and play and enjoy yourselves and your loved ones; just remember the Golden Rule and enjoy yourselves responsibly.)

When you read the "Amenities" section, you might mistakenly think that Smoking or Pets are allowed. Please note that this is a "No Smoking" and "No Pets" house.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the entire house, plus the laundry area and the 2 car garage with remote control openers. There is a kids' Radio Flyer wagon, and couple of bikes with helmets and fluorescent yellow vests, a couple of boogie boards--and, of course, Seabright Beach, voted the Best Beach in Santa Cruz by the Good Times.

Other Things to Note:
1. The listed weekly rate does not apply from June 12, 2021 through August 14, 2021 and there is a minimum weekly rental during those dates, on a Saturday to Saturday basis. The rate for a week during that period is $3,250.
2. There is also an 11% City of Santa Cruz Tax calculated on the total of the rent plus the cleaning fee. Airbnb does not have a line item for this in their listing pricing so it has to be paid for separately.

Interaction with Guests:
We do not live at the property so contact with us is usually only by email or phone contact. If, during your stay, there is an issue with something not working please contact Courtney via cell phone, call or text, and I will make sure that the appropriate trades person comes as soon as possible to see what is the problem and make any necessary repair.

Getting the family all together is getting more difficult, but the invitation to this location was worth clearing the calendars. So close to the beach and Boardwalk made this location more than ideal. Cool mornings on the upper deck enjoying coffee with the ocean view was terrific. The house had everything we needed to enjoy the week. I've already told friends about this lovely home.

This was our third year staying at this rental. As advertise, it’s an easy walk to the beach, boardwalk and down to the harbor. The house is very roomy, and everything could possibly need in the kitchen. Will be coming back for our fourth year here. Jesse and family

We loved the location and the house itself. Kitchen was the best equipped VRBO ever and we do cook. Was roomy and had a nice ocean view from the deck. Just one thing was disappointing--two bedrooms had no dressers. When you are in a nice home you do not want to live out of a suitcase. Would definitely rent property again.

Some friends and I rented this house to celebrate a special birthday. The house was the perfect choice because it's spacious, well-equipped, has garage parking, and very close to the beach! The view of the water from the living room and deck was very enjoyable. I would definitely rent this house again! It feels like a home.

This house is perfect. Big, clean, and great location. Includes beach chairs, wagons, bikes, corn hole, and more! The only thing I wasn’t aware of is the other space underneath the house that others were staying in. I couldn’t figure out who was talking all morning since my group was sleeping! Wasn’t bad, especially since I was the only one that heard it. Don’t let that stop you from renting. It was fabulous!

Our family has been getting together in Santa Cruz every year since 2014. We thoroughly enjoy this location as it fits all our needs and is so close to the beach! It has all of the amenities we could want. The garage parking Is a big plus! We hope to stay here again next year and very much appreciate the owners sharing their home with us! Gratefully, Carole and Family!
