About this house rental
Lake Austin Duplex, across the Street from Lake Austin, Hula Hut, Mozart's Coffee House, & Walsh Boat Landing. This is a fully remodeled home down to the studs. It is a full time Vacation rental since 2013 with no personal items in the place. This is not somebody's home the owner leaves and you check in. It is in the heart of Tarrytown probably the nicest and safest neighborhood in town. This rental Is on the #18 every 15 minute bus route to downtown, the capital and UT. This is a pet friendly place and is professionally cleaned & sanitized between guests. Please note that there may or may not be one or two Airstreams in the backyard. These are the owners personal Airstreams that he stores there. These are not for rent for short or long term rental. Keywords: House, Great Location

The home was exactly as described and the location couldn't have been better. Quick drive to downtown and walking distance to a few restaurants and a great coffee shop. We met the host and he made a lot of great suggestions about the area. Looking forward to coming back soon

The house is only a few minutes from town and right across from the lake. So, it has the feel of being a vacation spot with the easy convenience of also being close to the heart of Austin. There are lots of places to eat within walking distance or a short drive. A really nice H-E-B (fantastic Texas-based grocery store chain) is only a few blocks away if you like to cook.
The owner is friendly in his communications and super helpful if you have any questions. I was in town on business for only one night, but would definitely book this property for a longer stay.

My family stayed here in August during my daughters camp. The location is perfect! We enjoyed walking to Mozart each morning for coffee. The house suited our needs just fine and an important but hard to gauge from listings is shower temperature and water pressure. They were both fabulous.

We had a great time staying here. Prime location, just a walk away from lake Austin. Wish we could’ve stayed longer. Will defiantly stay here again! The house is very clean and has all the things you need!

My daughter and I stayed here and it was just perfect. Easy check in, very safe, and very clean. Right across the street from the lake in an upscale neighborhood- very close to all the great Austin hot spots. The owner was very kind and answered all our questions in a timely manner. He had our place ready early, which was very nice. What a great experience!!

Stayed here over a 3 day weekend. The property was ready, clean and had everything you need to enjoy your stay. There’s a restaurant and coffee shop nearby and a boat ramp to Lake Austin to people watch. There’s also a grocery and other eateries within a short drive. The beds were comfy, A/C was cool and linen was fresh.

I got the opportunity to meet the owner in person he's a great guy and friendly as well. The place was amazing and a great affordable price. Much better than staying at any hotel, as I've stayed in hotels for years. Clean and has up to date pest control. The area and house are nice. It is literally just the same as living at an actual home, away from wherever it is you may call home. Couldn't ask for better!

My husband and I rented this property for a short anniversary weekend get away. The house was everything we needed. The location is amazing. It is feet away from Lake Austin and a great coffee shop as well as minutes from all the restaurants, spas and activities. The host was very communicative. I would definitely stay here again.

This location was ideal for several of our local Austin faves! A block away from Hula Hut & Mozart’s coffee, just down the road from Lions Municipal Golf Course, close to Zilker Park, downtown, and much more! The unit itself was perfect for our family. Extra bonus, the shower water pressure was amazing! It has a nice backyard and deck that was handy for our dog. The owner was super friendly and easy to get ahold of. And we also enjoyed all the tv channels when we were in for the night! We will definitely look into staying here again for any future trips to Austin.

Location was great for us. Right across the street from the water. Walk literally across the street to restaurant and coffee shop. Bed was comfortable. Slept great. Host was easy to work with and gave clear instructions on access, etc. Would definitely stay here again.

This property is in a lovely neighborhood and you can walk across the street to the marina area and have coffee, drinks, and food. Full disclosure it’s not very private and all outdoor spaces are visible from the street, but the property should meet all your needs and it’s a quick drive to town.

A great place! Perfect base for exploring Austin. Convenient to Barton Springs, Mt Bonnell, Zilker, and lots of good restaurants. Hula Hut, a two minute walk was a favorite. Excellent owner. Easy communication. Happy!

Stayed in town during a remodel. The location is great, even for a local. I enjoyed walking to Motzarts for coffee and walking my dog in the adorable neighborhood. Pet friendly with a fenced yard .

Place was great, looked exactly as listed. Yard was fenced in for the dogs and walking distance to some cool places to eat and a lot of Christmas lights.

Stayed here for Austin City Limits. The host was just truly amazing. What a guy. Gave us rides to the venue each morning - never even asked him. We walked home at night (30 minute walk from the venue exit) but if we'd asked he probably would have picked us up!!
The house is totally completely stacked with everything you could possibly need - pots, pans, plates, full fridge, great deck with river views - just perfect!
The master bedroom bed was huge and comfy. The shower had awesome water pressure.
We wanted for nothing. It was a lovely experience.

Easy Walk to Abel’s
On the lake and coffee for breakfast. Quiet, dog friendly. Rental is very clean and owner is very responsive..thank you for a great weekend! master bedroom king matress is very firm- nothing wrong with it- just not love you preference. Loved the extra plugs for all electronic devices.

We were looking for a place to shower and sleep after spending the day on Lady Bird Lake. We got a very warm shower and a very comfortable bed. Clean space. Lyle had paper towels, t.p. and soap for our stay. An easy walk to some really good food and music. Location is great.

Super clean, right next to the lake and oysters Landing which has great restaurants etc. Perfect place to put in a kayak or paddleboard. The lake is right across the street. Lyle the owner was awesome and very accommodating. Would highly recommend for anyone getting away to Lake Austin
