This house has it all as far as location, homeliness, cleanliness, and relaxation. I brought my 4.5 year old, my 6 year old, and we had a preteen in one room and I was amazed at just how much this house had to offer them from toys to books to DVD's. They were entertained wonderfully the few hours we were in the house. The garage was full of bikes, there were beach chairs, and the backyard itself was set up for family time. We spent a lot of mornings drinking coffee while reading books on the front porch, watching the local neighborhood yoga club walk back home. The walk to the beach itself was a bit far but you can also hop in the car and park a quarter mile up the road with easy access to the beach. The beach itself was never overly crowded and Pacific City itself while it had a few touristy spots felt more local. It was central to all the places we visited - Tilamook, Lincoln City, Newport, Manzanita, Nehalem, and Oceanside. If you're looking for a good bowl of clam chowder, I highly recommend Current Cafe in Oceanside. We tried Mo's and Pelican Brewery as well and Currents won by a landslide in our personal opinion. Overall, this was the best vacation we've had in a while and it is with great thanks to this home and its owners who answered questions quickly and ensured we were taken care of.

This house was exactly as pictured. A great corner lot in a super friendly neighborhood. A quick bike ride to beach with all sorts of bikes and scooters in the garage available. The decor was spot on and the house was clean and comfortable.

Our family really enjoyed our time at such a peaceful beach house. It was incredibly clean, beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. The beds were super comfortable! I highly recommend this beach retreat! Hope to stay again someday. 😊

Third year staying and it’s still our favorite home away from home. Owners are always responsive and kind. Kids always have a blast between the collection of toys and games to being outside playing in the sandy front yard and on the hammocks. Close to everything. Awesome walking trails nearby. Beautiful, homey aesthetic. Five stars

Cute woodsy house with an artistic zen vibe inside. Perfect for all ages. Tucked away from the main drag enough to feel private but minutes from the beach. Plenty to do and see up and down the coast. Drive carefully in the weather.

This was our second year at the house. As long as we’re not priced out, this will be our home away from home, family vacation spot. The location is a dream. The house is so tastefully decorated, clean, and well-laid out for our family of six. There’s tons of toys for the kids and bikes for us to ride on the paved trail through a patch of woods just off the neighborhood. Our kids will play in the sandy front yard for hours and the porch is my happy place. The beach is walkable. We love the quieter community in pacific city for a tourist town. There are lots of areas to hike and you’re not far from gorgeous countryside. Cold Water coffee is just across the bridge in the village and it’s by far the best in town. We’re sold hook line and sinker.

The best part of the house is the big, high-ceilinged great room with lots of modern decor and open kitchen shelves. The back patio and front porch outdoor spaces were great, too. We had a great time here with family.

This beach house is very conveniently located for getting on the walking trails either around and through the neighborhood or to cross over the street and get on the trail that leads to the beach. My two youngest daughters and I had a wonderful, enriching and bonding stay! The owner was very responsive to questions I had. Everything went smoothly and we would rent this place again!

I booked the house for a weekend getaway with my family to celebrate my 50th. The house was a huge contributor to a wonderful experience. The house is beautiful, comfortable and so well thought. The location was perfect. Close to the beach and easy walk to amenities. I highly recommend, and look forward to renting again.

This beach home was perfect for our family! There is a large back yard where we played "Badminton" and "Horseshoes" (both available at the home). There are hammock swings and lounge chairs on the front porch where we drank coffee and relaxed. There is sand in the front yard for the children to play with buckets and trucks (also available at the home). The beds are comfortable, the lighting is practical, the games and movies are numerous and of good selection. The beach is very close. We walked there and played croquet (also at the home), had a fire and watched the sunset. Also, Andrea was a very kind and pleasant land lord to deal with. We really enjoyed our experience all around!

Our family enjoyed a thoroughly wonderful stay at the Sand House in Pacific City! We had beautiful weather for our whole time there. Some of our family members went on the Green Acres horseback riding adventure, which was excellent. Everyone enjoyed beachcombing strolls. The children and younger adults of our extended family (who'd stayed at various beach houses there in Pacific City) enjoyed climbing and running down the huge sand dune on the beach. Everything about the Sand House was welcoming, bright, cheery, and comfortable. The place is immaculate. It was the perfect beach house for our stay with our three grandchildren, ages 10, 9, and 4. We enjoyed playing the board games; the children enjoyed the scooters; and everyone enjoyed taking turns relaxing in the swings on the front porch. Andrea Klein was available and responsive to answer any questions we had both before our arrival and even during our stay. We highly recommend a stay the Sand House, and we hope to someday be able to return. Everything about this experience was wonderful.

This house was fantastic! It was clean and well stocked. We visited with 4 children under 7 years old and there was plenty of games and toys to keep them entertained. There was a swing out front and sand that kept them occupied forever! The walk to the beach was close, beautiful, and safe. I highly recommend this rental.

We recently stayed several days at this house and it was lovely. Very comfortable, beautiful decor, well furnished kitchen. The kids loved the porch swings, and so did the parents! After playing in the surf and sand all day, this was the perfect place to come home to. We will definitely be back!

I was amazed how well stocked this house was for the kids to have a fun filled beach weekend. Honestly there was enough to do at the house, but the beach was the added bonus. Tons of sand toys, bikes, scooters, games, toys, movies, and a fun little swing on the porch. The kids were content the whole trip. The house was for the most part clean. I did have to wipe down counters and the fridge when I arrived because I could see it was not as clean as I'd like it, but no big deal for all the other pluses. The house is laid out nicely for families traveling together. We would stay again for sure. The beach is an easy walk and a fun walk!

Nice place to stay for a young family. We are a family of 5, 3 young kids. This place was just the right size for us. Bunk bed in kid's room was fun and had lots of toys to keep the kids occupied. Master Bedroom had King sized comfortable bed. Kids especially loved the 3 swings/hammocks outfront to enjoy the outdoors. House was a couple of blocks from the Haystack Rock beach and giant sand dune. We had beautiful sunny weather (a rarity for the Oregon coast) for Labor day weekend. Would stay here again.

My friends and I stayed here for a girls weekend the last weekend in August. It was just what we needed. The house was gorgeous. Such an open space, perfect for sipping a glass of wine and catching up with the girls. We didn't have kids, but it also seemed like the perfect house for kids. Lots of game and kids movies. It ended up being very storming in Pacific City the weekend we were there, but we didn't care cause the house was so warm and welcoming. The little time we did spend on the beach, the view was amazing. Just a short walk away, Cape Kiwanda was beautiful. I highly recommend this vacation rental rain or shine!

We LOVED our stay here. The house was very clean and had so many awesome details. There was plenty of room for all of us (4 adults and 2 children) and so much to do around the home. Games, bikes, fire pit, toys for our little boy, TV and lots of DVD choices (though most of them were geared towards children), sand toys, and the hammock outside were all things at the home that we used during our stay. The town is small and not a ton to do, but close to many other bigger towns and the beach in Pacific City is within walking distance from the home. We also went to the tide pools/sand dunes one morning during low tide and loved that. The owner was friendly and helpful; quick in responding. We loved staying here and were sad to leave after just a few days. If we ever come back to Pacific City, we would definitely stay here again. Would highly recommend!

What an amazing time we had in pacific City and this home made all the difference. What a great location and this home was so comfortable. The only bad thing is it made the other home we rented in Mt. Hood disappointing. The owners have thought of every detail! I can highly recommend this property to anyone looking to stay on the central coast of Oregon.
