This home although spacious is a bit tired and unkept. Dishwasher leaked, high ceiling had many floating cobwebs that fell on us. Back porch railing felt unsafe for children. Master and upstairs bedrooms had uncomfortable beds and all the linens were torn and tired. Paper towels and TP were very poor quality. Text message said my check out was 10:00 am and when I said I needed extra time for a late check out they said , sorry it had to be pre-arranged via an email that I never received! Sent them a screen shot of my contract that clearly stated 11:00! We were out at 10:30 am!

We stayed here last year and loved it. This year was an awful experience. We were a party of nine but there were only enough towels for four people. We immediately tried contacting the host via phone and chat and were not helped until 13 hours later. We couldn’t shower. Finally someone called us and gave us the code to the locked closet where all the towels were.
Also, the place was dirty. There was a half eaten pear on the bathroom counter, used dental floss and empty toilet paper rolls on the floor in a bedroom. Used tissue stuffed in the sides of the couch. A pill was also in the floor in a closet. It was as if housekeeping missed rooms when they cleaned.
Finally, they need to do some updating. None of us slept well as all mattresses were uncomfortable. Either too hard or felt like springs were coming through. The ceiling fan in the downstairs bedroom was broken. Window in TV room wouldn’t close.
The communication sent out from VRBO is also wrong. I got one text with checkout info saying checkout was at 11 and to run the dishwasher and take out the garbages. Then a few minutes later I got an email saying checkout was at 10 and to strip the beds and take out the trash.
This house is spacious, beautiful and in a great location. It just needs a little TLC and better management. Disappointed in the lack of response when we had a problem. We should have gotten a return call within an hour or two so we could have some towels.

We had a lovely girl’s trip in this beautiful home during late June. We loved the location and access to amenities (Donner Lake beach area was so nice and fun!)
The home has lots of room to spread out and is very beautifully and comfortably decorated. The kitchen has tons of utensils and gadgets.

Our stay at this Tahoe Donner house was fantastic! The interior was cozy and has all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The living area was spacious and perfect for relaxing after a day out.
The kitchen was well-equipped, making meal prep a breeze, and the bedrooms were comfortable and quiet. We enjoyed spending time on the deck, taking in the beautiful views, and the hot tub was a great way to unwind in the evenings.
The location was convenient, with easy access to skiing and downtown Truckee, Northstar, etc. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this property to others looking for a Tahoe getaway!

This will be the first and last time we book through Marriott for a cabin in Truckee. I am confused as to how someone wrote a review saying everything is “new.” Nothing is new, everything is worn. The upstairs master bedroom reeks of dog pee, none of us could stand sleeping in there. We felt that little things were not well thought out. There were no new dish sponge, scissors, extra trash bags, or extra paper towels in the kitchen. I was really disappointed considering it cost 1K per night. We had a much better experience last year with our air bnb stay. The cabin was dirty and not well kept. There’s cob webs all over the ceilings. There was even a couch near the downstairs fireplace with holes all over it. We couldn’t even access the trash receptacle on the driveway. There were bags of trash left in the garage from the people who stayed there before us. I would say the only cool thing about the stay was that we saw a mom bear with her two cubs hanging out on the driveway outside the cabin. Other than that, I would not recommend this place. Save yourself trouble and book with AirBNB.

We have stayed at this home for a few years. We love the hot tub, big kitchen and bed configurations. The location is also wonderful. We went skiing at Squaw and Boreal and found it very easy to get to both resorts from the house.

The Stockholm cabin was perfect for our family getaway. However, the carpet was kind of dirty looking and the twin trundle mattress was not comfortable at all because my kid can feel the springs when he slept on it. Owner should consider changing a new mattress. Overall, the cabin was beautiful and we really enjoyed our stay.

The house was perfect for our crew. We had several children and adults and all feltthe house was large enough to fit our group but still offered privacy when needed for naps etc. the house is in beautiful Tahoe Donner and we experienced 8” of snow in one day!

This house was perfect for our 3 families to enjoy a winter weekend in the snow! Kids loved the spacious game room and bunk beds...and the hot tub! Adults loved all the space to spread out and relax. Place was easy to find and it was great to make use of the donner guest passes and go to the snow play. We can’t wait to come back next year!

Very large house and nicely decorated. Would stay again. Very nice hot tub as well. The heat is disproportionate and it's warm upstairs but still chilly in the sole bedroom downstairs. That could to be regulated better. Also could have been cleaned a little better in some spots, but overall very acceptable. The backyard has no neighbors close by, that is a very big plus. Overall a very pleasant home. Thank you.

Early Thanksgiving stay
This house was EXACTLY like it was in the pictures and virtual tour. The instructions were all easy to follow and check-in & out were simple and seamless. The house was fully stocked with towels, dishes, cooking supplies, working grill and hot tub, toilet paper, soaps and shampoos, laundry and dish soap, pillows and blankets. The location was AMAZING, there was a safeway 10 min away for any last min pick ups. This place has everything you can think of. I had to call customer service about the location of the outside trash and she was helpful and quick. In the mornings you will be surprised to see deer hanging out in the back yard in close view (they were lovely).

I enjoyed the cabin and everything, the only thing I didn’t like is that we found a small mouse and told the lady that was cleaning the jacuzzi and she said she was going to send pest control the next day but they didn’t show up

There was only 1 hand towel in the whole place in 1 wash cloth. We contacted property management about the latter and they brought over more wash cloths within 36 hours. There wasnt and a single pair of scissors in the entire house. That was kind of frustrating because when you're on vacation in your buying food and new items and toys scissors are A pretty handy tool to have around. There was also no binder with recommendations for nearby attractions, food etc. We really enjoyed the hot tub even though the deck is on the smaller side. All that said, We would stay here again.

We all felt very comfortable in the very spacious living quarters. The main room is absolutely beautiful with so much natural light and high ceilings. There was a lot of character to the house. Even the garage was spacious for 2 cars. It's so nice to have a washer and dryer in a rental, but this one had a side by side set along with a smaller stackable one. The kitchen had everything we possibly needed. We love that we had access to a community pool as well as bike and hiking trails right in the neighborhood itself. It's very close to Donner Lake and downtown Truckee. We all agreed that we would enjoy returning to this home for our annual family gathering.

Great home
We enjoyed the amount of indoor space this home offers. perfect for multiple families. The deck is on the smaller side, but the gas grill and hot tub were great. It lost a star because the WiFi didn't really work consistently well to be of any use, we mostly used our mobile data for entertainment and "hotspot" Internet hook ups. Vacasa responded timely to our request for wash cloths (we were only given 1 to start, and although we didn't ask for them, there was only one hand towel in the whole house) this home needs a pair of scissors. ANY one pair of scissors would have been helpful since we were far from our own home... be careful with the refrigerator, the ice/water part doesn't work right and the drawers are really finicky.

Overall everything was wonderful. Spacious cabin with lots to do. The kids absolutely loved it all. It took them a while to adjust to so many stairs, but everything worked out . The beds are not very comfortable, but not bad enough to lose a star, in our opinion. We would love to stay again.

We sacrificed our desire to be closer to Lake Tahoe for the appeal and size of this house and we were glad we did. With 6 adults and 5 teenagers, everyone had a place to sleep, we had room to gather at the table or living area while still having private spaces to retreat to. We made use of "bonus" items like hot tub, grill, travel coolers, fireplace and 2 washer/dryers. There are areas for improvement but nothing that greatly impacted our stay. Suggestions include... hooks in bathrooms for towels, adequate supplies for billiard table (1 ball missing, broken cues), improved sound system, garage door opener, fix or remove massage chair (if it's going to be there, should be working), dish cloths. All in all, our stay was great. Thank you!
