About this apartment rental
This spacious contemporary condo is bright, clean, sunny and cheerful with gorgeous ocean views from the living room, dining room, kitchen, master bedroom and the large private balcony. You can relax while overlooking the promenade, the dunes, and the wide stretch of beach and ocean. While drinking our coffee in the morning, we watch the playful dolphins below as the sun rises over the beautiful Atlantic Ocean.
We bought a new king size bed for the master bedroom and replaced one of the regular standard-size beds in the second bedroom with a queen-size bed. So now the condo has a king-size bed in the master bedroom, and one standard-size bed and one queen-size bed in the second bedroom, making enough room for 6 people to sleep comfortably. We also purchased two 90' sofas for the living room so if someone wants to sleep separately, they can sleep on one of the sofas in the living room.
We purchased a new contemporary dining room set with six chairs. All beds have new comforter sets making the entire condo very clean and fresh.
We have also purchased three new televisions, one for each bedroom and the living room. They have flat screens and hang on the walls, making for more spacious living.
In addition to repainting the entire condo, we replaced the window treatments in the master bedroom. They now have beautiful contemporary shutters.
We have replaced the entire set of balcony door and windows across the front of the balcony and back into the master bedroom. It had become faulty and now it is working beautifully and the glass windows and door are perfectly clear.
The washer/dryer and the dishwasher in the kitchen have been replaced with new ones. The refrigerator has also been replaced.
The hall bathroom and the kitchen have recently been renovated. New porcelain tile floors were added throughout the living room, dining room, hallway and kitchen. We also opened up the kitchen by knocking out two walls giving a more open feel to the condo. We are excited about our new look. We renovated the master bathroom also!
In 2018 we placed keyless locks on our outside door, making keyless entry possible. No more keys to return to the owner after your stay.
We love the wide stretch of private beach for Sea Colony guests only. There are life guards on the beach in the summer. We have filled our beach locker in the first floor garage with beach chairs and toys which are available to you during your stay in our condo. It is much less crowded than the beach in town, and much much less crowded than Rehobeth or Ocean City beaches.
Sea Colony has 24-hour security. A vacation in Sea Colony can run the gamut from beach fun to tax-free shopping to golfing, tennis and water sports. The privacy of the 'quiet resort' allows guests to sunbathe and enjoy the soothing ocean breezes in peace. Amusement parks and outlet shopping centers are not far and they provide more variety of family-friendly fun.
This world-class resort tennis facility offers an astounding 34 courts along with tennis clinics, camps and lessons by teaching professionals. Golf courses nearby include two dozen courses featuring waterfront and forest layouts designed by Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player.
Sea Colony also organizes weekly events such as bingo, camp fires on the beach, and other fun family activities.
The town of Bethany is only 1/2 mile north of Sea Colony, an easy walk to the boardwalk, restaurants, bakeries, bookstore, and many other specialty shops. The library in town allows summer vacationers to get a card and use their services which include a nice variety of DVDs and books. We enjoy many of the fine restaurants in Bethany and Oceanview, and if you want to go a bit further, Fenwick, Rehobeth, and Ocean City also have many great restaurants.

This property was fantastic - close to the beach, boardwalk, and all other fun things in the area! The owner, Beverly, reached out ahead of time and provided all the information we needed including a list of restaurants in the area. Sea Colony had events all week, and it was the perfect stay for our young family. I will definitely be back!

Our family absolutely loved the condo. What an amazing view!! Waking up to the sunrise over the ocean was amazing. The beach was gorgeous and we could pick between two pools. My friend and I went for a preseason beach stay, which was delightful. The property is right on the beach and convenient to all of Bethany. There are plenty of things to do at Sea Colony and nearby when it rains (which it did) and it's a comfortable condo to hang out in. The breadth of the beach was surprisingly large (I'm used to Ocean City or elsewhere where it's a narrower band). Great to wake up and see the ocean out the living room (and bedroom) windows.

This is the second time we stayed in a place owned by Beverly. The ocean views in this place are AMAZiNG, and completing worth the splurge. I also appreciate the timely, detailed informed that she provides, as well as being available for emergencies. The amenities in this unit are great and honestly it feels like home. I can cook, eat dinner at the table, site on the balcony, go to the pool, walk the beach, step outside to watch the sunrise, and so many other things. We went in the off season, and plan to rent with Beverly again. I don't have to worry about a thing. You won't either.

This is the 2nd year in a row that my fiancée and I stayed in Beverly's condo. We loved it the first time in September 2022 and wanted to return this year. This condo is beautiful, spacious, very comfortable and well stocked. We enjoyed beautiful views of the ocean and sky day and night. The couches and beds are very cozy. There are flat screen TVs in the living room and both bedrooms. All of the appliances - refrigerator, range, dishwasher and stacked washer and dryer are in excellent condition and served us well during our stays. There are plenty of tables and chairs on the roomy balcony. We also enjoyed the tennis courts this year. When we weren't relaxing on the beautiful beach, we enjoyed swimming in the outdoor pool at Edgewater House. We would highly recommend renting Beverly's wonderful condo to anyone!

We’ve stayed at Sea Colony for the past eight years, and this is one of the best rentals that we’ve found. It was super clean with a lot of nice add ons that you don’t find in the units managed by Vacasa. Beverly was responsive prior to our trip and reached out once we were there to make sure we had what we needed. It was great!

The location is what drew us, but we have been coming back yearly and our stay is always fabulous. There were a few upgrades this year which made it more comfortable. We are within walking distance to a number of restaurants and entertainment. Beverly is quick to respond to any issues no matter how small. Overall we had a wonderful stay.

When I vacation I always bring my own cutting board, knives, and a baking sheet- this kitchen had all the basics to make some meals in the condo. Enjoyed a coffee every morning on the balcony. With two bedrooms and two baths, this condo is perfect for two couples. The view from the 8th floor condo is outstanding; we enjoyed many sunrises and full-moonrises over the water.
The condo is located in Sea Colony, which has numerous amenities - tennis, pickleball courts, outdoor and indoor pools, fitness centers. Although some are closed during the off-season. The condo is conveniently located near one of the outdoor pools and an easy walk (with some stairs) to the beach. It's also an easy 1/2 mile walk to Bethany Beach town center. When we were there, the access points from the beach to the boardwalk were damaged by Ian, so we had to walk north 1 1/2 miles to gain access to the town. Hopefully, these access points will be restored by spring.
The owners have been making many improvements and updates in the condo - new cabinets, counters, tile floor in the kitchen and living room, dining room table, televisions. The bedrooms are spacious, and the king bed in the master bedroom is quite comfortable. Just remember to bring sheets, towels, and your favorite pillow! The kitchen is well stocked for cooking or reheating leftovers. The Keurig in the kitchen makes pots as well as K-cups. The owners have a locker in the garage under the building with beach chairs and sand toys. Finding the condo's two parking spaces (one under the building and one in the outdoor reserved lot) can be a little tricky (there is a printed layout of the garage parking spaces in the lobby by the elevator). We were informed (by handwritten note under the windshield wiper) that "open parking" in the off-season, only refers to the reserved outdoor parking spaces and does not extend to the garage spaces. I can't confirm this, but just be aware that this may be the interpretation of "open parking" by some of the residents!
Also, be aware that you will need to drive to the Sea Colony check-in office as Beverly describes in her welcome letter. You'll need to purchase your parking passes and guest badges there before parking and unloading your vehicle.
My only complaint about the condo was the state of the carpeting in the bedrooms, but the owners are planning to replace them this winter, so this will addressed soon. Overall, we had a fantastic time at the beach, and the weather in early October can't be beat!.

Beverly's condo was a wonderful place for our Bethany Beach vacation. The view from our balcony was beautiful, just as described. All appliances were in perfect working condition. We had no issues whatsoever. The condo was clean, comfortable and well-lit. We enjoyed using the pool at Edgewater house on two of our days there.

Our family stayed here for a small family vacation; 4 adults and 2 kids (4 and 2.5yrs). The property is just as described and great location in Sea Colony and in Bethany. We spent time in Bethany, Fenwick and Rehoboth- very centrally located. Seal colony is great because it offers the beach and pools, which my kids preferred. I learned they were not much a fan of the sand :)

This is our second year staying at Beverly's place. The view is just amazing! I can sit on the couch or the balcony and watch the sun rise in the morning. The walk to the beach is so easy and there is a small pool right there too! My kids love the playground and basketball court that are right on the other side of the building. Beverly's communication and instructions prior to check-in were great. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby. We are looking forward to our next stay there!

Condo has everything you need to have a fabulous beach vacation and more! Well stocked and updated kitchen, modern bathrooms and nicely furnished balcony. Beach chairs, and toys available in locker too! Pool steps away from beach and easy walk to boardwalk from building. Beverly provides all info you need to make your stay terrific. Enjoy!

The property was very comfortable for the 4 of us and the view was spectacular. We did sime cooking in and found everything we needed to prepare meals. The washer and dryer were handy mid week.
The only constructive comment we have is that the mattress on the bed near the window in the 2nd bedroom is old and uncomfortable.
Overall, give Beverly's unit 5 stars and we would return to it when in Bethany.

Gorgeous view. Clean unit. Owner was very responsive. Indoor pool rules were tricky as they don't allow kids in the area at all during adult swim which means us adults had to leave also. Hot water in the unit runs out fast so stagger showers and be quick! LOL Couches are very comfortable and you can tell owner takes pride in setup.
