About this cabin rental
Come create memories at our remodeled 3BR/2.5BA home in Woodland Park, Colorado for a perfect getaway while still enjoying the warmth of your home! We work hard to provide a beautiful fully furnished home and of course you do not want to miss out on our AMAZING HOT TUB and patio! We are a family that likes to stay in vacation rentals ourselves, so we have tried to address the small things often overlooked that make a quality experience. This is the perfect home for a family vacation or a couples getaway.
Nothing compares to the gorgeous mountain experience of the Pikes Peak Region. Woodland Park is a friendly mountain town just 16 miles north of Colorado Springs and the surrounding area offers something for everyone: Air Force Academy, Garden of the Gods, 7 Falls, Cave of the Winds, Santa's Village, Pikes Peak, Cripple Creek/Victor – historic mining towns with major gambling/casino, white-water rafting, hot springs and the best fly fishing anywhere.
If you are looking to settle down for rest and relaxation, our home is nestled back in a large lot, has a beautiful view of the mountains, high-speed internet with Wifi, streaming TV in every room, fully equipped kitchen, full size washer / dryer, large deck and gas grill. This is the perfect place to renew the body, mind and soul. Maximum occupancy 6.
We take pride in guest satisfaction and hospitality. In fact, we originally opened our home for financial reasons, but have continued to rent our home because we love to help others create their own memories.
You have access to the entire house and an our full 1-acre property. There is a detached garage that is not available to renters.
I am available by phone, text message or email for the duration of your stay. I enjoy helping guests with our home but also local attractions. I do ask that you reserve phone calls for 8:00 am - 10:00 pm Central time unless you have an urgent need.
We LOVE Woodland Park! It's a beautiful mountain town with a population of about 7,000 and an elevation of about 8,500 feet. We are not in the city limits but do consider our home to be "in town." Woodland Park has everything you need (fuel, restaurants, grocery and a Super Walmart.
There is some basic taxi service in the area and a shuttle that travels to Cripple Creek. Most of the attractions of Woodland Park are within walking distance.

A wonderful house in a beautiful location. All the amenities are present. The home is roomy, comfortable and has lots of nice extras. Jim was very attentive and really made the effort to make sure all was to our liking. So glad we didn’t stay in Colorado Springs and came her instead!

We had some issues with the check-in/check-out process, but other than that the property is an absolutely gorgeous place to stay. Wildlife like deer, rabbits, crows, ravens, and other birds enjoy walking out in the yard right in front of the massive windows, giving you a front row seat to what can be an amazing and sometimes interesting show. My daughter saw a crow pulling at a squirrel's tail repeatedly to provoke it! The yard is so lovely and our dog really loved running around and smelling everything. The TVs are equipped with Roku, which was really fantastic to use. The location is also incredible, since it's such a short drive from the many things to do in Woodland Park, and it's also easy to access the main road to go to a lot of other attractions like the Garden of the Gods. It's a great place to sit out on the patio with a drink looking at the mountains beyond the fence. The kitchen was also stocked with a surprising (and nice!) array of kitchen utensils and seasonings, and it also has a Keurig!

This home is exactly the way they describe and show. Jim is an excellent host and made the entire experience stressfree and welcoming. We enjoyed reading, watching movies, hot tubbing and cooking in the kitchen. The beds were extremely comfortable and we were able to adventure to many places as this is an awesome base camp. You will not be disappointed with this property and it is truly worth the money!

The property was excellent and we would highly recommend. This was our first visit to Woodland Park and found it to be a quiet little town in the mountains. Our son and family live in Colorado Springs so we traveled back and forth - about 40 minutes. The scenic drive is breathtaking. The owner provided local recommendations and could not have been more helpful! We hope to return in the future.

The Woodland Park Haven is cozy, well furnished, well decorated, and had everything we needed! The hot tub and patio were awesome, even with 3 feet of snow!
The stay was a great experience overall. The cabin is on the edge of town, so stores were just miles away, which was convenient. We were a little surprised there were apartments so close by when we initially arrived, but it was so quiet that we completely forgot about them.
Jim was excellent at communicating and kept us informed on delays due to weather. Thank you for workng with us and making our stay possible!

This was a lovely cabin for our family. Was very clean. We enjoyed hanging out, snuggled up in the living room watching movies during a snowy weekend. The hot tub was wonderful and we were thankful we could bring our pup with us. The host was very communicative. We had a little glitch during our stay, but Jim was so helpful, it really wasn't an issue. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

The cabin could not have been more comfortable. The cabin was well appointed and we felt like we were being at home during our stay. We'd want to have the opportunity to stay at 619 S Woodland Ave in Woodland Park during our next trip to the Colorado Springs area. Can't praise our host, Jim Newberry, enough for being such an accommodating host.

Upon walking into this beautiful home it looked and smelled very clean. It was perfect for our family and was stocked well in the kitchen. The host had great communication and we were very happy with our stay. We did get snowed in one day but it was perfectly fine as we made chili and enjoyed a day in this cozy home. There are a lot of deer in the area and the town is beautiful. It’s close to a lot of sight seeing and things to do. We would stay again for sure. Thank you

We were so comfortable in the home! Kitchen is fully stocked, downstairs bedroom had a very comfortable mattress and the location of this property with grocery stores, restaurants and tourist attractions is so convenient.

My family stayed here during USAFA Parents weekend. Woodland Park is an up and coming area very close to Colorado Springs and Pikes Peak. Working with Jim throughout the entire process was seamless. Hose was very clean and excellently maintained. House is in close proximity to downtown Woodland Park. Neighborhood is very quiet. We did not use the new fire pit but it is a very nice addition. We will definitely stay here again on return trips to Colorado Springs.

The Woodland Park Haven cabin was really nice and clean. The kids enjoyed having their own bedrooms. We loved the view of the mountains from the sunroom and the back patio. Jim did an excellent job communicating with us before and during our stay.

Took our newest addition to our family to Colorado. Jim communicated the entire time of our stay. How was completely setup and was very cozy. Everything labeled and explained. Love the intervention of the technology with the rustic feel of the cabin. Would recommend staying here to anyone coming up to the Colorado Springs/ Woodland Park area.

I would recommend this property to all my friends and family. The location is perfect for families and the house was well stocked with all the essentials. The beds and pillows were all very comfortable. Jim is very responsive to any questions or concerns. We came with 3 adults and 3 children/teens and everyone was very happy with the accommodations.

This was a great place to stay for our family. My son and his family were in town and we used this as base camp for our activities. Deer were seen daily. Perfect quiet, restful place to be.

This home is in a great location which was probably our favorite part. Beautiful views and quiet neighborhood. We saw some deer and other small wildlife from the patio. Hot tub was great. Lots to do in a fifteen minute drive. The elevation was a little high which we weren't used to but we were fine! Lots of little touches that made us feel right at home.

This was the cleanest, most comfortable VRBO we have ever rented. Every detail was thought out. Jim was so helpful and attentive. The beds were great, plenty of towels, and toiletries. Without hesitation I recommend this property and will definitely stay here again if I'm ever back in Colorado.

This was our first “actual” vacation and this cabin did not disappoint. It was perfect for our family of 5! Plenty of room with a spectacular view out the back window. We never even ate out at a restaurant, we cooked all meals at the cabin and that was huge for our family. It felt like home away from home. There were a lot of instructions to follow, but we have to remember, this is someone’s home. I would have specific instructions as well. Very well laid out and the owner, Jim, was so easy to reach and talk to. Thanks for allowing us to stay in your family’s cabin. Our family loved our visit!

This property was perfect for our family. We traveled there to enjoy a Christmas celebration with our son. The location was close to everything you could possibly need! The communication with the host was outstanding! The home was beautiful, neat and tidy and had all the amenities of a home. With this property being pet friendly with a fenced in yard, it sealed the deal. Couldn’t have asked for better accommodations!!! Would definitely choose this property again.

The town itself was very friendly. The property was beautiful. My wife and I decided we will be coming here once every year. We bought a lot of things we needed from the grocery store before arriving. I would suggest you arrive before you shop. They were very well stocked on things you wouldn't expect like food seasonings, popcorn, laundry detergent, cooking oil, fire starters for the fire pit. Having accounts already set up for streaming apps through the Roku was very cool did not have to spend time signing into our own accounts, they actually prefer you do not log into your own. The neighbor that has the driveway right next to the property's driveway is a very nice veteran with a story. I would like to encourage walking over, saying hello, and shaking his hand.
