About this cabin rental

The idyllwild bungalow is decorated in the style of the arts and crafts period. We like to call it 'the stickley cabin', after the famous maker of arts and craft style furniture.
It is in the fern valley section of idyllwild, which means that it is lovely, close to town while feeling miles away.
The large yard means you'll feel a real sense of privacy and serenity.
Appropriate for 1 or 2 couples. Warm, inviting, calm. One bedroom, one large bath, a fireplace, two large decks, and dog friendly. There is a bonus room with a fold out bed.
We have a CD/record/tape player, an ipod dock, board games and books.When we rent, we also provide a 'renter's handbook' with additional info about the cabin, the neighborhood, and local activities. We are always adding to this handbook to make it as informative and helpful as possible.

Stayed at this property years ago. Noticed the amazing new front room and deck this time around. The place is designed all things sticky and done very well.

Terrible experience & rude host! This cabin was filthy, dirty dishes, no clean sheets or towels, bugs in the kitchen, bed unmade & broken futon in Bonus room, with no streaming services working & lose arm railing. The worst was the detoriating deck which was a total safety hazard. I contacted Ed immediately to inform him of these concerns and his response "just leave! No apology, no refund, and nowhere to go on a Holiday weekend!! We were so upset. His response was so disrespectful & rude, when we were trying to get help & asking for cleaning services. Contacted VRBO to make a complaint and property should be closed until further inspections by the City and Fire Dept. DO NOT STAY HERE.

We really enjoyed this cozy and quaint cabin. It snowed both days we were there and it was absolutely stunning. The cabin was fully stocked with everything you need and the host is very communicative and welcoming. We had an amazing time and will be back.

My husband and I decided to stay the weekend at this cabin and OMG it was just wonderful, not only was it a magical stay, it wasn’t too far off the main road towards town. The place is so cozy and warm. And far enough from neighbors to feel secluded enough. It’s a beautiful little time capsule of a cabin. I’d say only con is the bed, mattress is a bit springy and my husband and I are very tall, so it’s definitely just a personal preference thing. Ed was extremely communicative, and very friendly. As well as had everything we could need to know written out thoughtfully in his messages pre-check in as well as in the cabins little handbook. It made figuring everything out very easy. Overall we 100% will be staying here again next time we go to Idyllwild. I can’t imagine wanting to be anywhere else.

We really enjoyed our stay in the cabin. It was clean, in a great location, the kitchen was extremely well stocked, and the property manager was very communicative and extremely quick to reply. We look forward to staying there again in the future.

Beautiful cabin in close proximity to all the great trails. We snowshoed Ernie Maxwell and it was phenomenal! Cabin is well stocked with everything you need to cook your meals. Wifi was solid. Loved the nostalgic decor throughout. Ed, our host was easy to communicate with and very accommodating. Great stay!

This cabin was a the perfect spot for our little pre wedding honeymoon. It’s near the town so getting supplies or snacks is easy, the surrounding neighborhood is beautiful and quiet- great for dog walks. The cabin itself is cozy and the kitchen is perfect. The cabin gets nice and warm with the fire going :)

We were very excited when we saw the cabin. It was larger than we expected, but still cozy. We loved all the Arts and Crafts details. We enjoyed some games and records. Now our daughter wants a record player. We would have appreciated an updated binder with restaurant hours and locations. Overall, a very positive experience. We’d definitely stay again.

Had a wonderful time at this cabin with my fiance. We both loved the look, feel, and coziness of the property. We will definitely be coming back/booking again. Overall had an amazing experience and Edward provided great recommendations for local spots to dine & visit as well as plenty of info in regards to accommodations, features, and decor of this wonderful property.

This is our second visit to Edward’s Bungalow and we loved it. Very close to Humber Park trailhead and in a lovely community. The home itself is inviting and charming with artwork and a vintage vibe. Our dog Maggie loved it to! Thank you Ed!

My fiancé and I spent the weekend at Ed’s cabin and the whole weekend couldn’t have been nicer! The weather was 70 degrees and all the shops and restaurants were open and the town was bustling. I love the stay and will stay again. My only issue was the bed was a little hard for my liking but that didn’t take away from the cabin.

This is such a special cabin...it's spacious, incredibly quiet and charming. I greatly enjoyed my trip there and hope to get back again. The owner was easy to communicate with and check in was easy. You will not be disappointed!

We had a great time at Ed’s place and highly recommend! Idyllwild had just gotten a bunch of snow, so our pup had a blast playing outside in the yard. She also loved watching/hunting all the squirrels from the front sun room. My husband and I had a cozy fire going each night (be sure to bring your own wood). The location is a short drive from downtown, and we enjoyed walking around there on Saturday afternoon. If you have a pup with you Mama’s Egg House has an outdoor patio with heaters (and delicious food). Pure bean is also dog friendly indoors (coffee, pastries, bfast items).

Property was clean and well stocked with essential like Towels, Kitchen and bedding. Make sure you bring firewood if you are going to have a fire. Just a short drive from town. Would definitely recommend this cabin to others for a beautiful weekend get away.

The overall stay at the house was relaxing, but there were a few things that caught our eye. The trash from what I assume was from the last renters was never taken out and was in a box on the kitchen floor when we arrived. Along with ALL the coffee cups were chipped and finally one of the bed sheets had multiple white stains.

Cozy little cabin for a weekend stay. We really enjoyed the living room and wood stove, as well as the enclosed sun porch and skylights in the bathroom. In the downstairs room, there was covered & stored furniture and one of the other rooms up stairs was closed off for renovation. Some cobwebs on the ceilings and dusty floors & other dusty items/not clean kitchen utensils. Overall, a nice stay.

We had a great time and loved the quietness of this property! A couple of things we wished is that the TV was upstairs in the warm cozy room! The downstairs was cold and not comfy! Loved the fireplace and big deck! Wished there were a couple more chairs on the deck! Overall great quiet getaway😊

We had a wonderful long weekend in this cozy and beautifully decorated cabin. Close to town, but just far enough away to remain untouched by the holiday weekend crowds. We (and our dog) especially enjoyed the views and bird watching from the sun porch. Can’t wait to come back!

This house is the perfect weekend escape. It's conveniently located to the center of town. The home is fully appointed with all the basics that make one feel right at home. The kitchen is well-stocked which made eating-in super easy. The setting is peaceful. I thoroughly enjoyed plenty of outdoor time reading and working on crafts among nature. Definitely hope to book again.
