About this house rental
The Cottage on 14th street is a light, bright, breezy vacation home. This quaint two bed room, fully furnished circa 1875 home is located five blocks from the beach and one block from the Historic Bishops Palace and Sacred Catholic Heart Church. The Cottage has been renovated with refinished hardwood floors, high ceilings with crown molding and antique furnishings. The fenced in back yard has a wonderful deck and tropical landscape. This home is located just blocks from restaurants and the Historic Strand District. This home has been featured in the May 2014 issue of Houston House & Home Magazine.

We loved our stay in the cottage! It came fully stocked with everything you'd need for a beach vacation... complete with sand toys for the kids đ. Walkable distance to the beach each day, food and water bowls for the dog..the kids loved the upstairs. Will stay again!

Rob was extremely thoughtful for our stay over Easter by leaving some Easter bunnies and eggs for our young kids. It was easy to walk to the beach and the house had everything you could need to have a good beach day. We would stay there again 100%.

Property accommodations matched the listing description. Clean, and had amenities including WiFi and stocked kitchen. Easy check in/check out. Host was responsive to any questions. Walking distance from the Seawall which was a plus. Main level of house had one bedroom with a queen. Upstairs had 2 beds that was perfect for our teenage kiddos. All the comforts of home. Living room had adequate seating so we could enjoy some card games together as a family. Nice back deck for morning coffee. Would stay here again when visiting the Galveston area!

We had a great time staying at this home by the beach. The walk to the Seawall was short. We took the dogs daily. The Strand is also very close. The home has water bowls and leashes for the dogs. They also had blankets to cover the couch as itâs lower to the ground so the dogs thought it was for them. We had everything we needed and felt right at home! We will be back next year!

We have stayed at The Cottage on 14th many times over the last 10 years and it is always a wonderful experience. Ron and Tony are fantastic hosts and so great to work with. The house is clean and comfortable with lots of beautiful personal touches. I love waking up early, making the short walk to the beach to watch the sunrise, and then coming back for coffee on the back porch. The house is convenient to everything Galveston has to offer and one of my favorite places to stay on the island.

We rented the Cottage on 14th for us, and our 2 teens. 17 and 19. Quick weekend getaway before the baby starts his Sr. Year of high school Monday.
The proximity to everything was great. We got in early Friday and Ron was quick to answer our call, check in was a breeze.
The house had everything we needed! The back yard area was beautiful with well kept vegetation and ample seating and lights. Great place!!! We enjoyed it. If I had one suggestion, add a full length mirror!

The perfect little beach cottage. Exceeded our expectations. Lovely beach décor throughout the home. Very clean and comfortable. It was nice to feel that our dogs were welcome there. Dog bowls and blankets for the dogs were provided. Perfect location. Walking distance to the beach and restaurants. Hope to visit again soon.

It is a cute little house with all the amenities that we needed. It is homey and comfortable. Short walk to the beach. We were very happy with the choice we made for our short getaway!

People on the island are really nice, too. My doggy met some great four-legged friends as well. I stayed here with my 24-year-old niece, and she really enjoyed the privacy of the upstairs bedroom.
For those with dogs - the back âyardâ is a small enclosed garden with a small sitting area. I had to walk my dog for all of her potty breaks as there really was no place for her to relieve herself in the âyard.â She is a 40 pound female, so maybe smaller dogs would enjoy this space more.

Ron and Toni are excellent hosts! The kitchen is well supplied for cooking. This is my third time staying here. Every time I find some new, cute interesting little nook of fun and charm.
