About this house rental
This 2,200 sq. ft. townhome is the ultimate in beach accommodations. Very spacious and comfortably furnished, this vacation retreat is suitable for multi-families with children or 4 couples. Located in quiet, less crowded South Mission beach, the home consists of a ground level 450 sq. ft. private 1-bedroom (#4) suite with 2 XL twin beds and 2 standard twin trundle beds providing beds for four children. At a renters request, the XL twin beds can be converted to one king bed. It has its own entrance on the first floor and is equipped with a kitchenette with second refrigerator, which is very beneficial for large groups. Also, there is a private bath on this floor, perfect for the grandparents or teens who want their "own space". The first floor also has an oversized washer and dryer and indoor stair access to the main house.
The main entrance to the rest of the house starts on the 2nd floor (1750 sq. ft. 3-bedroom 2-bath). It boasts of a large patio (seats 6) with beautiful teak furniture and ample seating for guests. Enjoy grilling and dining while steps away from the deep blue ocean! The beautiful brick flooring, fireplace and a large "sunken living room" provides comfort when catching up with friends and family. The crew's cook will enjoy the well-equipped kitchen, a dining area as well as a kitchen nook which provides seating for 14. Also on this floor is a master bedroom (#3 as seen on floor plan) with king bed, balcony, and bath.
When your sunny San Diego adventures are done, head to the 3rd floor master bedroom and take a nap on the king bed or view the ocean from the private deck, relax and enjoy. The 3rd floor also has another bedroom (#2) with a queen bed and can be used for the children or two more adult guests. There is an adjoining full bathroom to both bedrooms on this level. Also on this floor is a private sitting room (second living room) which includes HD DirecTV and two queen overstuffed futons that can sleep 4 people. Enjoy reading, relaxing, watching movies or an after-dinner drink complete with a wet bar.
Other amenities include a two-car side-by-side garage that will accommodate two Suburban's, as well as a carport space which will allow extra parking for a mid-size car or small van. Garage dimensions 18ft Wide x 20ft Deep x 7ft Height (door entrance). There are six HD TV's (4 smart TV's) with HD DirecTV and high speed, wireless internet. Also, the homeowner has provided lots of beach toys to set your family up for your beach vacay, including: kids wetsuits, scuba gear, an outdoor shower, a small tub for rinsing off after your beach adventures, and boogie boards, Wheeleez Beach Cart, 8 Tommy Bahama beach chairs, 3 Beach Umbrellas, sand boards, beach blankets, 48-quart cooler and beach towels.

The location was great! The room was perfect for us. We did ask for the first floor room to be made into a king bed, which was listed as an option. It was not done, even after I called to make sure it they saw the request. The came out the next day to make it into a king. All they did was push the beds together and put a package of new sheets on the bed for us to make up. The furniture was dirty and old and It smelled. The comforters smelled. The carpets were dirty. The kitchen and fridge was dirty.

Perfect place for grand parents and grandchildren! Close to the beach, large space for eating, games, visiting. Lots of beach toys and close to the fun! Host was engaged. Beds very comfortable! Loved the downstairs quiet apartment plus the loft for quiet time. Lots of tvs and fans. Loaded kitchen supplies. Check out responsibilities easy. Parking for us worked out..two small suvs plus street side was avaialable too. Will return for sure

Very impressed with this home, perfect for our family of 9. Fully stocked with everything you could ever need. The only problem we had was the jetted tub was no working.

Perfect location to beach and bay. Lots of beach toys and equipment. Lots of room for family from 6 to 78. Kitchen well equipped. Beds comfy. Not good if you can’t climb stairs. House is on 3 levels. We all had a great time.

This house is in a great location and has a very well stocked garage with bikes, beach chairs, boogie boards etc. all that you would need!
We did have an accident in the house. There is a brick step down living room with no barriers or warning of any sort. We moved the furniture to minimize any issues, but one family member accidentally fell into the living room injured her thigh and broke two bones. I would not recommend this house for this reason.

House was very well equipped - from kitchen to beach toys. Enjoyed bikes - plenty of seating, ice, fans etc…. Parking is a challenge - couldn’t really figure out how to put 2 minivans in the garage, and the outdoor spot was also very tight.

We had such a great week at this beach house! Our married kids came, we had room for everyone. We played in the sun, watched sunsets, relaxed and ate well!!! Thanks for housing us while we made memories!!!

Also, flies were a problem due to a broken lid on kitchen trash can. Refrigerator and cabinets could have used a better wipe down as well. Well stocked kitchen tools and cookware. BBQ needed help starting manually and started on fire with grease on it. Should be cleaned. The home had great beach equipment such as chairs, bikes, umbrellas, toys etc. The location was perfect. Beach area clean and away from noisy public areas. All bedrooms had TVs and accommodation for multiple couples in my family comfortable.

I have stayed at many VBRO'S before but this is the first time I felt the need to write a review. This house is perfect. Great location between the ocean and bay. The house is loaded with anything you will possibly need. A huge added bonus, ALL the beds are extremely comfortable. They have thought of everything. We will definitely be back!

Great room area is perfect for large groups to converge (we had 3 families with kids of ALL ages), plenty of space for everyone to hang out together and the loft area with 2 full futons great for teens to sleep/hang. Beds were very comfortable (TVs in all rooms and loft/living room) and the included amenities were amazing. 5 beach cruisers with locks, boogie boards, surf boards, sand toys, beach toys, mats, beach towels, umbrellas, 10+ beach chairs, are ins of coolers, and the list goes on. Tons of bath towels and bed linens, 2 full size fridges and 2 beverage fridges, lots of games, tv choices, WiFi, kitchen well stocked….just bring your suit and toiletries! Bathrooms a little odd, 3 of them, but all you have to walk through a bedroom to access. Good location with just 2 short beach blocks to access ocean, pizza/Mexican/southern restaurants walking distance as well as markets and more. I would definitely stay here again.

Perfect beach house
I have stayed at many VBRO'S before but this is the first time I felt the need to write a review. This house is perfect. Great location between the ocean and bay. Also, no washer and dryer as advertised. Otherwise great week with family.

It is a close walk to the bay or the ocean, and very close to all the attractions. The only drawback was there really isn't parking for 3 cars unless they are small. But you can park at the bay side, where the cars are locked in during the night, and not that far of a walk to get to or take a scooter. So that really helped. When we needed anything (which wasn't much) all I needed to do was call the office and they took care of it right away. Loved talking to Eric :-) Great place!

Had stayed here before and loved it. This time we walked in and it immediately smelled like rotten fish. Couldn't use the pantry in the kitchen because there were ants. The downstairs bathroom also had ants and the sink and toilet were dirty. The description says 3car parking and we have never found the third parking space. Definitely need more oscillating fans in all the rooms. Will not be going back next year.

It was so much fun!!! the boys loved the wet suits and boogie boards. the kitchen had all the supplies we needed to feed 14 people. didnt want to leave. Ocean and weather was perfect. Beds were comfortable. Only neg. airplanes...but during day...I did not hear them at night.

The house was great and a very short walk to either the beach or the bay. Our group had 7 adults and 7 children. We all fit nicely in that house. There were many beach items in the garage for all of us to use when we hung out in the beach for hours. There were chairs, umbrellas, toys and towels. We did not need to buy anything for the beach. The rental company was easy to deal with and professional. All in all it was a great place to stay and made for a great vacation.
